This is an enclosed double-decker bus that is operated by RTC Transit. It runs from the Vegas strip all the way to the Airport. I took the bus from New Vegas (the Strip) to Old Vegas (Fremont Street). It is a very economical way to get up and down the strip. It costs $6 for 32hours or $8 for 24 hours. It is very affordable if you plan on going up and down the strip. Getting a pass was easy. I did it on my phone while I waited for the bus. It took me less than 5 minutes to do. You can use your pass on your phone, Apple watch, credit/debit card, or physical pass. I used my phone. If you are going to use that option, just make sure you have enough battery to last. I did not feel unsafe on my rides, but there was no police presence on board. They do, however, have video monitoring on the buses. Fortunately, I never needed to see the reaction time on any of my trips. The bus was relatively clean. And I will be the first to admit that there are some very interesting people who ride the bus. The buses are ADA-compliant and have wheelchair lifts. The route is pretty much straight and can easily be followed using your map application of choice. I enjoyed my rides on the Deuce. It got me where I needed to be and saved me tons of money. If you have a little time to get to where you are going and do not need a direct route. A 24 hour senior pass cost $2.50, and the route map couldn't have been less complicated. Our first driver was very helpful in suggesting the right options for our pass purchase. Screens showing upcoming stops were streamlined, simple, and perfect for visitors. The public transit busses are wrapped with perforated vinyl ads on the sides, including windows, so this isn't a sightseeing bus (nor is it meant to be), but as a cheap, clean, simple way to get around, we found the RTC system to be wonderful. Some of the bus stops had actual benches, and others only had slanted metal strips about the shpae of a 2X4, to lean against. This was one of the best choices I made in planning my Las Vegas trip with my family. These double decker deuce buses ran along the stripe for the most part of the day and it made frequent stops to allow visitors to stop by different casinos. The bus has plenty of seats and the view on the upper deck was great. It had screens on the bus to indicate the stops and showed the nearby casino for each stop. It was very similar to hop on and hop off buses, but much more affordable. I paid for a 3-day pass for $20 and it gave me unlimited access to get on and off the deuce bus. Definitely worked well with people who want to explore the stripe but not want to walk a lot. Love it. read more

If you're having some solo time walking along the strip, and it's hot sunny and disgusting under the Las Vegas Summer Sun...the $4 ride back to your hotel is well worth it! The bus stops are fairly easy to find...keep an eye out for the other tourists and poor underpaid local workers. Thank goodness for The Deuce! We saved so much money using the three days pass! Buses were hit or miss regarding cleanliness but this was definitely public transportation and not a tourist attraction. We were bummed that the outside promotions on the side kept you from being able to see out the windows but if you got in the front seat of the top level, it was fun. read more

If you don't want to drive the strip or you don't have a rental car, the Deuce bus is a cheap and affordable way to access the strip and Fremont. It can be a slow trip due to traffic and the number of stops along the way, but the Deuce bus runs 24 hours a day and a 24 hour pass won't break the bank. You'll find a mixture of tourists and locals aboard. Traveling north from the strip to Fremont can get crowded, but the ride from Fremont south to the strip was comfortable and there weren't as many passengers aboard. Availability - tube every 15 - 20 minutes. I think the number of riders buying tickets on board affects the time (Tourists may have language barrier so it takes longer for the transaction.) Routes - good. Both directions of the strip, and you can transfer to get downtown. Beats walking the entire strip in the heat. Very crowded when we rode it at 10am. This is by far the best way to get from The Strip down to Fremont Street and back again! Only $8 for a 24 hour ticket and $20 for 3 days!! Such a bargain. :) There are multiple stops along the way going both Northbound and Southbound. It runs 24 hours per day! The downside is that occasionally there can be a long wait in between buses coming by even though it says that they arrive every 10-15 minutes from 7am-1am. But if you have time to spare and don't mind leisurely getting somewhere this is the way to go. read more

$6 for a 2 hour pass, $8 for a 24 hour pass and $20 for a 3 day pass. You can purchase them online and have a QR code to scan on your phone to ride. You can also download the RTC app and it lets you know the bus locations and when the your stop is coming up. The stops are well marked and have signage of your stop location and pay stations. Some have seating some don't. I would recommend just short trips (less that 8 stops) because Fremont to South strip can take 1-2 hours with all the stops. We took took SB from TI to the Luxor at 9pm during the week and it took 48 minutes. With that said it is affordable, clean and sometimes crowded. It just matters how much your time is worth. We took ride share when time was an issue. Just watch for surges and avoid the taxis at all costs because they are scammers. Convenient and economical way to get from Fremont and the way down the strip. yea, if you're in a time crunch, this might not be for you. Also, they advertise it runs every 16 minutes, that's not accurate, it's more like 20-25 minutes. In addition, sometimes a bus will be full and you can't get on. I purchased the 3 day $20 pass and found it very handy. I still utilized cabs, but definitely took advantage and saved some bucks by using The Deuce. The drivers were surprisingly helpful and did not have an attitude--I'm from NYC, and I guess that's what I expect, sadly. In short, I think all visitors to the Strip, should take advantage of what the Deuce offers. Pack some patience and remember not to stand near the stairwell on the second level. I almost found out how dangerous it was when the bus stopped suddenly and I almost fell down the stairs. The RTC officers aboard the bus will tel you to move, but just before that happened, I almost took a vicious tumble on my day on the bus. read more

It's a cool little bus to get around the strip and over to Fremont Street. Passes can be bought for the day or for several days either on their website, using their app, or at the machine right next to all the stops I was at. Im not exactly sure of the schedule but it's running 24 hours a day, several buses, and seems to pick up at stops about every 20 minutes at least. Buses are standard issue as far as cleanliness and what you would expect from any public transit system. Lots of seats on two stories but availability varies depending on demand. I've seen it near empty with plenty of seats and so jam packed I was sure the driver wouldn't let anyone else on, just to be shocked when she allows entry to 15-20 more. A great way for a visitor on the Strip to see Vegas is on the Deuce bus. It stops at nearly all the casinos. Takes you almost the entire Strip. It just can be slow because of congestion. Pretty easy to buy tickets. Even though it can get slow, it's a much cheaper way of getting around. Cabs are ridiculously expensive. The private shuttles also cost a lot more. It's best for those staying at those mega casinos. This makes a stop at nearly every one. A good thing about this is that getting on it is really convenient. The bad thing is that this bus can be slow. It has an upper deck. This gives you a better view. It's possible to buy tickets for this or any other city bus at any of the transportation centers. There's also many bus stops especially along the Strip that have machines. It's a part of the local bus system, the RTC which goes all around the city. Your bus ticket can be used on any of these routes One day tickets are $8. You can get three days for $20. It begins at the South Strip Terminal close to the airport. The Deuce is great if you fall into one of the following categories: 1. enjoy taking public transportation 2. aren't ever in a rush. 3. can't walk You guys, I took The Deuce from Mandalay Bay to Fremont street and it took an hour and twenty five minutes. While the bus is super clean and there is free wifi on board, I'd honestly rather pay for my wifi and get there faster. I paid $8 for 24 hour pass which I didn't use again after this experience. In the end it's cheaper to go on the bus than take an uber downtown, but I could have driven there and back and probably drove somewhere else after all in the time it took me to get to my original destination. Like its namesake in the phrase Drop A Deuce, this bus is a load of crap. We wanted to get down to the area near Fremont Street from the Strip. Bought a couple $8 24-hour passes. Seemed like a great deal. Cheaper than an Uber or taxi, and we figured it would be a nice ride, with a great view from the double decker bus. Little did we know the view we would be treated with was that of a sidewalk. As we waited for the bus. That's ok. We were warned the buses were running with significant delays because of construction on the strip. But 30 minutes is excessive. It was so long, we started to wonder if any bus was coming. So we started to walk. Got to the second stop just in time to watch the bus drive by as he waved to us. We waved back. With fewer fingers. He pulled over at the next stop, 1.5 blocks up, and we tried to run there. We were half a block away when the driver pulled away... leaving us once again. We walked 30 mins north and finally managed to catch a third bus, (3 buses in a full hour, when they claim to come every 7 minutes)...which only saved us the final ten minutes walking to our destination. Hours later we needed to go southbound from the northernmost point of the route. We saw a bus at the stop and ran to it, some dude was like "relax, it won't leave for seven minutes." That 7 minutes felt strangely like 20. Once the bus started to roll, it seemed like the experience might actually be ok. We were rolling along. First few stops went off like clockwork. 20 mins into the ride, the bus stalls, leaving an already warm bus, now oppressively hot. Mind you, it's not that warm outside. Like 70 degrees. Climate not well controlled methinks. Anyway, the wheels on the bus stop going round and round, and the Bus driver never attempted to communicate this to passengers in any way, and those of us sitting on the upper level were left to wonder WTH was happening. After sitting like ducks with zero info from the driver for over 10 mins many passengers departed. We walked down stairs and after begging the driver for info. He said "another bus is coming but I don't know when, maybe 30 minutes from now"...considering our experience earlier that day, we decided to start walking. We get half a block away when the other bus showed up. It's bypassed the original stop (where 20 people were waiting for it), and STOPPED ON THE ROAD RIGHT NEXT TO US. It was pretty full but a bunch of passengers got off so we figure there's room for us. Certainly the driver was informed of the other busted ass bus. Nope. He closed the doors IN OUR FACES. What hospitality. Deuce bus dropped a big deuce today. Good thing it's a free service. Oh wait. WTH DEUCE. I WANT MY STUPID $8 BACK there are so many ways to reroute or manage construction traffic. Or communicate with passengers. This is the most mismanaged tourist bus system I've ever witnessed. I've ridden more reliable buses in DEVELOPING COUNTRIES. It's not fast, but gets where you need to go between the airport/rental car center, the Strip, and downtown. Sometimes the schedule does not line up with reality and you wind up waiting a bit. This is a terrible bus service, you can usually walk to your destination faster because of how unreliable it is. Busses are nearly always delayed; waits are often 20-30 minutes, even when the app says a bus is a few minutes away. When the busses do come, they are usually all bunched up in a group, which doesn't do anyone any good. I would be a little more forgiving if the fare was $2 like most transit agencies, but at $6 for a 2 hour pass, it's a total waste of money. Save yourself the headache and just walk, even if it's a mile or more it will still likely be much quicker than this bus. read more

Waiting for the bus which never comes Waited on Strip southbound at Encore for 20 min, Sat May ~8 am. Transit app would show a SB Deuce coming in 1 min, then 0 min, but must have been invisible. Then Transit reverted to just showing a NB bus. RTC site said one should come every 8 min at that time. Finally gave up and took a cab to airport. This was after trying to walk from Encore to LV Convention Ctr to catch 108 bus, but found impossible since LV doesn't provide sidewalks on Desert Inn and many others, incl trying to cross I-15. Later found I would have had to walk a few blocks north to find a sidewalk to Conv Ctr. LV is terrible for walking, except along the Strip. read more

I asked Google about Vegas's transportation. I found that RTC app would be the best option. I bought 24 hours pass for $8 twice. I took advantage of the pass from the airport to Strip. It was true, that it was so crowded, but I was not claustrophobic at all. The bus was slow after 3pm due to heavy traffic around the Strip. They simply need to have a listing on the website of places where kiosks are located to buy passes or have clear instructions on the website on how to buy a day pass online. Because if you buy the pass on the bus like I did and pay cash and lose it, you're out of luck. Then, they need to have people in customer service whose job is to handle complaints who have some people skills to deal with tourists in the Vegas tourist-dependent economy. They also have no place other than at the north end of the line for seniors to get a reduced-fare card--not practical if you're staying at the south end of the line. read more

Difficutlty with getting between Downtown and the Strip. Every visitor to Las Vegas has to consider whether they shoild focus being located Downtown or focus being located on the Strip- because it's not possible to do both. Last night and tonight, I saw concerts on he Strip. The RTC bus service brought me to tears - 90 minutes to get to the Strip and 3 HOURS to come back downtown. The RTC bus is supposed to run every 15 minutes and take 30 minutes travel time. I left downtown at 6.10 after waiting 40 minutes for the bus, it took 90 minutes - arriving at the concert ( Flamingo and Las Vegas Blvd) at 7.40 pm. No dinner, I just had enough time to buy and chug down a bottle of water. coming home it was worse- I got to the bus stop at 10 pm- the bus didn't show up until 11.20 pm! completely crowded but I forced my way on - about 20 people used the back exit door to get on, and about 100 people were left behind. The bus felt unsafe and passengers were frustrated. The bus inched along Las Vegas Blvd, part of the road seemed to be blocked off for construction although no construction was going on at 11 pm- 12 am at night. I finally reached Fremont Street at 1 am- tired and hungry. 3 HOURS!!!! While en-route, a woman passenger went into diabetic shock and i, along with several other passengers had to give up our water and food - so she would be ok- the bus was so overcrowded, it wasn't possible to even contact the bus driver about the woman. it's really important to stay on the Strip ( South Las Vegas Blvd.) - if your activities are going to be there.......like it's important to stay Downtown if you're going be doing things there. DO NOT THINK FOR A MINUTE THAT IT'S POSSIBLE TO GET BETWEEN DoWNTOWN AND THE STRIP - It's not. read more

This my 4th forth time to Vegas and I always use the dueces route to get me to and from. So when I came this time I purchased 3 3 day passes. We attempted to use more but several time we would be at the stop and the bus would come stop and then drive off. No one ever said we're full another one here in 5 minutes 10 minutes etc. I was highly disappointed with this service! This happened 4 times at different stop over the course of my 4 day trip. My mom and I rode the Deuece from the Strip to and from the Downtown area (Freemont Street). I really didnt like their fees because we didnt want or need a 24 hour pass but that was the cheapest option for $8 per person. The seats were comfortable and it was cool seeng the attractions from the upper deck level. Thankfully it wasn't too crowded and the bus was clean and modern. It was cool seeing parts of the strip transition from lights, glitter and glam to residential, wedding chapels and then a bunch of bondsman offices. We drove past the city jail on our way to Freeman street. On our way back on the drive it was a lot more crowded as we ventured back into the strip. Overall, the experience was worth the $8. If we had more time we would've definitely took more advantage of our 24 hour pass. read more

If you plan to explore the strip, whether the strip to you means the part between the Wynn and the Bellagio, or from Mandalay Bay all the way up to Fremont Street (with the Stratosphere and Sahara along the way), do yourself a favor and buy a multi-day pass. One of the first things you'll learn in Vegas is that the sheer scale of of the buildings makes everything look so close, but it's not, not by a long shot. You can spend hours walking up and down the strip, thinking you'll make it to the MGM today, but only get as far as the Paris. So you hoof it back to your hotel and the next day you are walking, again. Now don't get me wrong, walking is a good thing, especially when the temperatures are nice. But why be tiring yourself out when there is so much more to do? Even if you take the worst case view that the old guy with the walker is moving faster than the bus (see Elizabeth L.'s review), at least you are sitting down, and maybe even napping (see photos). You can buy the single-ride $3 ticket, and the 24-hour $7 ticket on the bus. Just be sure to have EXACT change, as no change is made on the bus (or treat it like a slot machine and lose a buck or two). There is also a 3-day pass for $15 and a 30-day for $30. Reduced rates for seniors (half-price) are available for at least the single ride and the 3-day pass. The 3-day pass cannot be bought on the bus, but there is a self-service kiosk at the bus stop in the front of the Wynn (though it was not working when we there). See the website for more details on where to buy the multi-day, as it really is the best deal. So save your feet and ride the Deuce. Sure, it may be crowded and slow at times, but hey, it's air-conditioned. The drivers can also be quite entertaining... You have got to be a people-person to work in Vegas. PS. No food or beverages are allowed on The Deuce. They seem to tolerate non-alcoholic beverages and closed containers, but don't try to get on The Deuce with an open beer (don't ask me how I know this). I am a terrible liberal. I don't do public transpo. I lived in New York City for years (never been on a subway) and live in LA and don't even know how one gets on the public transpo here... It's just... I LOVE driving... I buy a car that has a big engine and I like driving. BUT when in Las Vegas, I do the Deuce. It's the BEST way to get around the town. The drivers are hilarious (This bus does NOT go to the Outlet Mall... I cannot be more clear, If you think you are getting to the outlet mall.. that is not happening)... nice and friendly and helpful. And it's a bargain. $8 for 24 hours? And they stop everywhere you need to be. It's such a winner... And the double decker bus made my niece super happy. It's both FUN and a bargain. A MUST do in Vegas. read more

If you go during the day, it is much more comfortable. I recommend up top where the AC seems cooler and the seating is better. At night, it is nuts. The security staff and drivers were rude and the patrons locally are obnoxious. It is overly crowded and the drivers hit the brakes so hard at times people were nearly falling over. Sometimes it would take 15-20 minutes for a bus, sometimes 30+ minutes. Inconsistent and at $6 for 24 hours, it's not really worth it unless you are doing a lot of stuff on the strip. I have to say RTC Transportation has the worst Senior Citizen customer service that I encountered. In St Louis I can get Senior fare at kiosks. In Las Vegas, you have to go to main terminal and show ID and Medicare card to get discount. Screw the tourist SENIOR CITIZEN!!! Ended up using rideshare. I generally drive when I am in Las Vegas but because of parking charges at the various MGM & Caesars properties, I decided to take the Deuce during my recent trip to Las Vegas. They sell it in 2 hour, 24 hour, and 3 day. The 2 hours cost $6, the 24 hours cost $8, and the 3 days cost $20. I only needed to get back to my hotel so I opted to get the 2 hour one and since I was leaving Las Vegas in the evening, it didn't really make sense for me to spend the extra $2 for the 24 hours pass. At the time that I took it, the bus was crowded so it was standing room only. Since it picks up a lot of people from the Strip (and people are allowed to drink on the Strip), you will encounter a lot of different types of passengers. You aren't allowed to drink in the bus nor bring any luggage bags that can't fit on your lap. While I was waiting to get off, I checked out my cellphone and noticed that there was free WiFi on the bus. I'm not sure if it was on all buses that service the Strip, only the Deuce buses, or all buses in general. I connected to the public WiFi network in the bus and then connected to my VPN for security purposes. I didn't have any issues during my ride on the Deuce so as bus rides go, I would rate them 5 stars. read more
