The Las Vegas bus system is my preferred way to travel when visiting! To navigate you download the app named, "Transit" which will show you all of the live bus departures. There's a few quirks, but it's very easy to use, and a 3-day unlimited pass is (surprisingly) $20. You also get unlimited rides for the other Vegas buses -- but the off-Strip coverage is less complete. Apps to download: Transit RideRTC

If you don't want to drive the strip or you don't have a rental car, the Deuce bus is a cheap and affordable way to access the strip and Fremont. It can be a slow trip due to traffic and the number of stops along the way, but the Deuce bus runs 24 hours a day and a 24 hour pass won't break the bank. You'll find a mixture of tourists and locals aboard. Traveling north from the strip to Fremont can get crowded, but the ride from Fremont south to the strip was comfortable and there weren't as many passengers aboard. Weekdays may also be less crowded.

This is by far the best way to get from The Strip down to Fremont Street and back again! Only $8 for a 24 hour ticket and $20 for 3 days!! Such a bargain. :) There are multiple stops along the way going both Northbound and Southbound. It runs 24 hours per day! The downside is that occasionally there can be a long wait in between buses coming by even though it says that they arrive every 10-15 minutes from 7am-1am. But if you have time to spare and don't mind leisurely getting somewhere this is the way to go.

$6 for a 2 hour pass, $8 for a 24 hour pass and $20 for a 3 day pass. You can purchase them online and have a QR code to scan on your phone to ride. You can also download the RTC app and it lets you know the bus locations and when the your stop is coming up. The stops are well marked and have signage of your stop location and pay stations. Some have seating some don't. I would recommend just short trips (less that 8 stops) because Fremont to South strip can take 1-2 hours with all the stops. We took took SB from TI to the Luxor at 9pm during the week and it took 48 minutes. With that said it is affordable, clean and sometimes crowded. It just matters how much your time is worth. We took ride share when time was an issue. Just watch for surges and avoid the taxis at all costs because they are scammers. It is still cheaper than renting a car with parking, traffic, the long walks from parking garages etc. Enjoy Vegas!

Convenient and economical way to get from Fremont and the way down the strip. yea, if you're in a time crunch, this might not be for you. Also, they advertise it runs every 16 minutes, that's not accurate, it's more like 20-25 minutes. In addition, sometimes a bus will be full and you can't get on. I purchased the 3 day $20 pass and found it very handy. I still utilized cabs, but definitely took advantage and saved some bucks by using The Deuce. The drivers were surprisingly helpful and did not have an attitude--I'm from NYC, and I guess that's what I expect, sadly. In short, I think all visitors to the Strip, should take advantage of what the Deuce offers. Pack some patience and remember not to stand near the stairwell on the second level. I almost found out how dangerous it was when the bus stopped suddenly and I almost fell down the stairs. The RTC officers aboard the bus will tel you to move, but just before that happened, I almost took a vicious tumble on my day on the bus.

A great way for a visitor on the Strip to see Vegas is on the Deuce bus. It stops at nearly all the casinos. Takes you almost the entire Strip. It just can be slow because of congestion. Pretty easy to buy tickets. Even though it can get slow, it's a much cheaper way of getting around. Cabs are ridiculously expensive. The private shuttles also cost a lot more. It's best for those staying at those mega casinos. This makes a stop at nearly every one. A good thing about this is that getting on it is really convenient. The bad thing is that this bus can be slow. It has an upper deck. This gives you a better view. It's possible to buy tickets for this or any other city bus at any of the transportation centers. There's also many bus stops especially along the Strip that have machines. It's a part of the local bus system, the RTC which goes all around the city. Your bus ticket can be used on any of these routes One day tickets are $8. You can get three days for $20. It begins at the South Strip Terminal close to the airport. The route goes all the way to downtown and Fremont. You can use your ticket to get on the SDX or any other route.

Don't waste 2 hours of your trip to get somewhere a cab can get you in 5 minutes. It's not worth the $2 you're gonna save. Just take a cab

Beyond that, company is in complete disarray. John Haggerty attempts to run every aspect of the company by himself and thus the company is complete madness behind the scenes. They forget to book rides in the system and end up missing charters and field trips, completely ruining the day clients had planned. The Airport Shuttle regularly doesn't show up because they lack an adequate amount of drivers. They bring the wrong size vehicle on rides but don't want to give a discount to companies for a mistake they made. Only thing luxury about the company is the new fleet of buses they've acquired over the past few years. Drivers are allowed to come dressed as tacky as they went. Seats inside the bus have crumbs in the crevices and stains from spilled drinks and candy cause they don't require the drivers to actually do their job. Expect to smell the toilet (for motorcoaches) upon immediate entry to the bus. All of this and more is what will be available to you for a significant rate if you choose TLC Economy.

Amenities Available seating in the form of benches is excessive. There is one outlet where one can expropriate AC. Most coaches now have WiFI that is included in the price of the fare. There are a boatload of those spirals so one can lock a bike, but there is no guard on-site, so it would be for only the highly trusting to park a bicycle here. (Note: Use very good U-locks.) Route Unfortunately, there is one bus and one bus route alone that services this station: the Centennial Express (CX). (Note: The Maryland Parkway route has stops within walking distance.) With all the being said, pay good attention to which CX you are hopping on. I have been attending this University since Freshman year. As the years went by more and more resources to facilitate your experience on campus were eliminated. The staff worsened, if there ever was a citation situation that you desired to have addressed or appealed, the process guide is archaic and perfectlly bureaucratic;nothing happens. Yet the technology to demand payment for parking was as innovative as ever. Today as I made my way towards two officers to inquire upon a citation he absentmindedly disregarded my inquriy. As I realized that zero information was available to them, I therefore proceeded to ask for a ride to their offices since the area on campus on which I had to park by has had over 5 assaults occur within this academic year. I was regarded as a liability, my request was retaliated by a response that lacked the slighest sense of concern for student safety and professinalism on any level. I proceeded to walk to their offices and place a demand where I was only met with apathy and a single email to which to submit my 'concern'. This department reflects perfectly well what happens on campus in every department on every level. The univeristy has fallen short of its mission statement the past 5 years it has worsened and of course nothing seems to change.

Unfortunately, that's where the positives ended. When we checked in, we noticed there were only two washcloths. How are two people supposed to wash their face and body with the same towel? I asked housekeeping for extra towels, and she handed me three -- which honestly made me laugh. But here's the real issue: when we pulled the bedding back, there was long black hair on the sheets. That tells me the bedding was not changed. For the amount of money we spent, being placed in a dirty room is unacceptable. When we called housekeeping, the lady told us they were experiencing a high volume of requests and had no idea how long it would take for our room to be cleaned. That was extremely disappointing. After we were promised around 9:30 PM that someone would be up to our room to change the bedding, no one showed up or had the decency to call or offer us linen to do it ourselves, we ended up sleeping upright on the very uncomfortable love seat. This was our first and last time staying at this hotel. The views were beautiful, but the cleanliness and service were not anywhere near the standard we expected.
