Baked potato, green beans, and corn
    Shonda M.

I came here for dinner while staying in town and was not disappointed. Service was quick and friendly and we were able to choose our own seating. The menu has various options, including steaks, burgers, seafood, and salads. My coworker settled on a steak with Mac and cheese and charro beans (it came with 2 sides) and I made my own veggie plate with a baked potato, green beans, and corn. Food came out at a reasonable time and portions were generous. My coworker loved his steak and said that it was both cooked perfectly and had very little fat. As for me, the potato was large and encased in sea salt and the green beans were cooked with bacon and sausage. Prices were also reasonable. As we were finishing our meal, a gentleman started playing the guitar and singing...kind of a one man mariachi band. It was nice! If you find yourself in Cotulla for the evening, I recommend eating at this place.

Nice and clean with a Texas theme.

Recommended by a friend. I enjoyed the 8 oz. flat iron sirloin. Cooked to order with a side bake potato and corn. Some cheddar biscuits were brought out first but I thought they were a bit dry. Service was good but there is a small wait for your order to be cooked To your taste. My waitress checked on me several times even though the place was filling up for dinner. I would return next time I am in the area.

Uncaring employee, have to walk to restaurant side to order food.. Asking to place order four times doesn't get any attention

Food is awesome, however Roxy in the bar is too busy with her phone and high-school crushes to take orders. 15 years coming here have been ruined by her lack of caring. Under proper management and care this business could continue to be great, people not caring about their jobs ruin all businesses

If you stay in Cotulla, TX or maybe traveling through you need to stop in and give this place a try. The food is very tasty. I tried the Salmon plate and it was phenomenal. The diablos (jalapeño poppers) are amazing as well. Probably the best Salmon I have ever ate. The service is a little slow if they are a little busy though. I highly recommend Lasalle County Steakhouse to anyone in the area.

Great for Locals travelers kinda ignored

Seated instantly but waitress wasnt very friendly towards us. Seemed like a great place for locals they recieved smiles greetings hugs even. The owner sat in the corner and visited tables .. all but ours. Waited forever for food at least 30 mins. Food was ok. Hot not awful but not great. Order chicken fried streak, way to much breading. The Ladies restroom was a joke! Trash everywhere sink faucets broken off. My husband said Mens room was disgusting. The only friendly person who asked us if she could get us more drinks & if everything was ok was a girl named Brianna. Our own waitress didnt.

An oasis in the middle of the desert. First class steak and service. Ask for Sidney, she is an excellent server.

Not worth the stop. Go somewhere else. Service okay, food bad. Value for money, terrible.

I'm not really sure about the negative reviews, because El Charro was my favorite place for dinner…read moreduring my week-long stay in Dilley, TX. As I read other reviews, I noticed folks mentioned that the food and service were better in the evenings, which might be why I had such good luck? Anyway, I visited El Charro twice and as a current pescatarian, I was grateful to see so many vegetarian/pescatarian options that looked delicious. My colleagues were also impressed with the variety of dishes, and each dish that was ordered was consistently tasty and presented nicely. We ordered: Spinach enchiladas Caldo de ocho mares + tortilla soup Shrimp & Tilapia with garlic sauce + veggies + rice Shrimp "a la diabla" with veggies + rice We were also grateful for the full bar! Drinks were presented nicely & were very tasty as well. I was very very pleased with the taste of the fish and shrimp, the dish was full of flavor and didn't feel too heavy. My only "complaint" would be that the vegetables served weren't very fresh, as I could tell they were previously frozen. Otherwise, the rice and corn tortillas were tasty and authentic and made for great meals overall. Service was always friendly and efficient! I definitely recommend El Charro if you're in the area, as the options are limited, and this is a good spot for sure.

Service was mediocre but food was good. As long as you're not in a rush... I got the chilaquiles…read moreand my husband got the egg & potato breakfast tacos. The eggs for the chilaquiles were cooked over medium as I asked for, the green sauce over the chips was flavorful with a bit of heat. The refried beans were good and sprinkled with queso fresco. The breakfast tacos were wrapped on a fluffy, tender tortilla and the eggs and potatoes were cooked well. They dropped off a bottle of red sauce and that was tasty.

1.) no seating for 5 at this facility. Sat uncomfortably at a 4 seater table…read more 2.) tables around us came and went before we were offered to place our dinner order. 3.) had to constantly bus my own table because Mel V was unavailable. Gave her the empty bread basket and she left it right in front of me on our already crammed table. Cleared the table again of bread plates and abruptly left them at the bar and they looked at me like "what's her problem" yet no one came to our table even then. 4.) 2 out of the 5 silverware sets had dried crusty potato or something like it on the knife's. The fork had lettuce stuck in between the prongs!! And it was wrapped in the black napkin so who would do such a nasty dirty thing? The manager is not managing anything at this place. 5.) Appetizer(fried mushrooms) came out hot and tasty but we never saw Mel V again to ask for dipping sauce. Disappointing. 6.) main dishes came out together but a lot of it was cold. (Very disheartening) It was as if some plates were ready before the others so half of it was cold to the touch, again unimaginably disappointing. 7.) waited 20 mins for wait staff and no one came back, went to ask a short stubby man if he was the manager and he said yes. Told him my concerns but he didn't give a crap, he actually turned his back to walk away as I was still talking. He didn't bring the Togo boxes he said he would get OR even visit the table. He just went and found Mel V. Just so I'm clear, Mel v. is not the problem and to my knowledge, she did her very best. it's the manager and lack of support provided to the wait staff. Side note: There was shit at the base of the toilet, so this place wasn't even a good restroom stop. I'm just very disappointed as my family and I came from Houston to this "good place" when really it was nothing but a disaster from the get go. At one point my dad asked if we should just walk out. We literally watched so many people come and go and no one paid any attention to our table. There are millions of places to eat in-between Houston & here yet we chose this place and left completely dissatisfied and unfulfilled. Pick another establishment because between the cold food and service, this place is not worth it in my opinion.

A lovely place for a meal!…read more Kingsville Steakhouse has a wide variety of food aside from steak, all of which were very good. The portions were large and the food was flavorful. I especially appreciated the construction of the Caesar salads! They were loaded to the brim with parmesan and dressing (which are obviously the best parts of the salad)! The rolls were perfectly fluffy and warm. This spot even got a pickle-hater to like fried pickles! I made the small mistake of ordering seafood at a steakhouse but regardless was not disappointed. The portion of shrimp was a tad small but the sides made up for it. It definitely feels like the food was made with love. Like many restaurants in the region, the walls were lined with beautiful mounts. The restaurant had a very homey feel. The service was very homey as well. Our server was incredibly sweet. She was quick and offered refills for the table frequently. She kindly provided to-go cups for our drinks too! This is a must-visit when in Kingsville!
