Don't waste your time. Walked in and was told to find a spot after I had been at the door for a few minutes. I was alone so I sat a small table that had been cleaned but not wiped down because I didn't want to take up a large table. The menu has various options, including steaks, burgers, seafood, and salads. My coworker settled on a steak with Mac and cheese and charro beans (it came with 2 sides) and I made my own veggie plate with a baked potato, green beans, and corn. Food came out at a reasonable time and portions were generous. My coworker loved his steak and said that it was both cooked perfectly and had very little fat. As for me, the potato was large and encased in sea salt and the green beans were cooked with bacon and sausage. Prices were also reasonable. We ordered the bacon wrapped jalapenos, as an appetizer, they were good, and the bacon was crispy. The chicken fried steak was large and crispy. One steak was done right, the other one had to be returned for a do over (it was overcooked). I had a cheeseburger (a choice of potato chips or fries). The burger on the picture had steak fries (I got shoestring fries). Either way the burger was fair. Drinks were refilled properly, by our waitress. She was polite and friendly. If you ask for a side salad, as one of your sides on your meal, they fail to mention to you that you will be charged $3.99 in addition to your meal. If you want to take the salad bar as a meal, it will cost you $6.99, but you need to look at it, because, the salad bar includes only salad items. Steaks are charged "Market Price", but pretty pricey for a steakhouse of this scale. The ambiance is very casual, not the kind of décor you would come to pay $25 to $40 for a steak of this category (it needs a little hand). Overall, I would recommend for the restaurant to bring up the interior décor, put your steaks on a fridge with windows for the clients to see the quality meats being served, and maybe then, you can charge "Market Price" for your steaks. read more

I ordered A Glass of ice water and whiskey on the rocks, the grilled chicken breast with mashed potatoes and onion rings. I can overlook the drink from the bar no big deal and even utensils I could've waved a server over, but the problem was the food. When you advertise grilled chicken breast I am hoping it will be truly grilled the way the steaks are but no big deal if they're gonna flat grill it. What I got was a chicken breast that had been butterflied so thin that it was dry as cardboard. I understand kitchens get in a hurry but cutting the chicken breast so thin just so you can get it off the grill and get the ticket closed it is unfortunate . Passing through town and staying in a hotel for the night, I asked the front desk clerks where would be a good place to eat and this was the place they said without hesitation and I can see why now. It was prepared just how I like it and was extremely tender. The green beans were just like my mama used to fix. They have one problem though. I'm a safety man, out on the sites, so I'm in Cotulla quite a bit, like 3-5 weeks at a time. I eat at the steakhouse 2 or 3 times a week because it's the best restaurant in this town. I always get the 2 meat barbecue plate. It comes with so much food that I have another meal to eat at the hotel the next night or so. When I first started coming to the establishment, the service was very so-so. Within the last month, I have cycled through just about every waitress and each and every one of them is amazing, friendly and did I say amazing? Aspen, Carli, Sydney, and Wyomi (I most likely mispelled her name and am sorry) are the reason I will keep coming back. Now, the ONLY downside, of the restaurant, is that, sometimes, when I'm finishing at work, for the day, I'm looking forward to go there and, for one reason or another, it's closed.
