I'm very pleased with the results since the first weeks, and I'm seeing a good reduction of hair, about 80% (ofc this has also to do with the fact that I'm "lucky", in the sense that I'm the perfect candidate for laser, having pale skin and dark hair). This salon has been open for little over a year now. It's an airy and pleasant space, decorated in white and lime-green tones. The private rooms upstairs are clean and always neat and tidy when you get there. Appointments are usually on time - I've had to wait for 15mins once, but that was it - and there's a very pleasant waiting room with coffee and tea. I'm no newbie to laser, my first course was done about 7 years ago, back in Portugal, and I know what to expect. After a not-so-great-experience here in Dublin, I decided to try Havana - I live nearby and I'd seen it open recently -, so I picked up a voucher from Groupon. I liked the first consultations so much I bought an additional treatment on top of that, since they were able to offer good value. It's part of their business model, happy clients will be more willing to make additional purchases, and retaining clients with offers is better than losing them to competitors. The only downside I can think of is the fact that the girls working here can sometimes be a bit pushy with sales, regularly presenting you new products or offers on treatments. But other than that, they are very nice and professional, and, more importantly, they are ready to answer your questions and explain what is being done and why. I'd recommend it, I like the equipment used and the way they do things here, it all feels safe, pleasant and clean. After every appointment you give them feedback on your experience that day, particularly regarding pain, and they keep all this information on your file so they can use it on your next treatment. Bonus points: they accept American Express!

They also kept pushing me to buy all these unnecessary creams claiming that they are "protective" for anyone getting laser treatment. The products didn't make the slightest difference. When I stopped going and sent a complaint, all I got was another employee making excuses and not wanting to deal with the situation properly. I spent €99 for six sessions via groupon. Did not get the results that I was expecting. Did they reduce my hair count on chest? Yes. Significantly? No. I'd say reduction was about 40-50%. After my treatments finish and I didn't renew it, because I was reasonably happy with the results. Three month later I can tell that all hear is growing back on and treatment is only so affective as you keep continuously getting it. €99 per year doesn't sound as bad, but you can't expose yourself to sunlight or sun beds. You actually can, but then your treatment is postponed till your skin looses tan. Don't waste your money, unless you must get rid of 'em hairs.

During the BBL treatment, incorrect settings caused visible burns on my chest that took months to heal and left lasting physical scars. After my CO laser treatment, which I paid a substantial amount for, I was advised to expect a significant post-treatment skin response, including redness, swelling, oozing, crusting, and peeling, along with a recovery period of approximately 10-14 days. I was even sent home with a medical pack to care for the expected post-laser effects. After the CO procedure, I experienced no redness, peeling, oozing, or any post-treatment reaction, and my skin showed no improvement at all. I contacted the clinic multiple times expressing that I did not believe the laser had taken to my skin, and I was not at all happy given the extremely high cost of the procedure as well as the time I had factored in to deal with the expected "downtime." I was brought in for a follow-up consultation, during which the skin lead stated that a "conservative approach" had been used. This was never discussed with me beforehand, and I would not have agreed to a conservative protocol given the cost of the treatment. I was told to wait three months before any assessment could be made, and my concerns about the lack of response were dismissed as "everyone is different." Both treatments have physically harmed my skin and caused significant stress, anxiety, and disappointment, and my formal complaints remain unresolved. The actual microdermabrasion treatment is pretty much painless, but if you've never had a facial or experienced an extraction before, you might want to pop an aspirin or two before showing up for your appointment. The technician was very polite and thorough. Once the microdermabrasion and extraction are done, the last 30 minutes of the treatment mostly involves the application of magic goop and a face, shoulder & neck massage. By the end of the treatment my face felt almost freakishly clean. I was a bit pink immediately following my appointment, but it went away within an hour. While it's not the sort of thing I'll be doing too frequently, since it's quite pricey, I can definitely see myself going back again in a month or two.
