Bachuri so I was able to see that he was the best and I made the decision to go ahead with the implant procedure.

TDR has the latest technology in terms of diagnostic tools, appliances, and internet service. You can see your child's pictures on the website if you create an account, so the parent who is not able to attend appts gets to see. They explained very clearly what they wanted to do and why. They discussed pros and cons of treatment, best case/worst case scenarios. They had us wait on braces for my son stating that his adult molars needed to come in, and they explained that his canines should drop naturally, and they did (which means less time in braces) So I did not feel rushed/pushed into anything. After my daughter's palate was expanded they put in a maintenance appliance that is much easier to eat with and care for. They discussed my insurance with me, answering all my questions. Their communication and paperwork is forthright and clear. They offer 5 & 7% discounts if you pay up front with credit card or check. I get appt reminder text messages. I have never waited more than 5 minutes for my child to get onto their appt. They highly encourage patient responsibility and care, so they educate my kids about brushing, etc. That's a huge support as kids don't like to listen to their parents. Their prices fall within national average for service, tipping slightly toward the higher end, from what I've researched. My son's Tx was 5k before insurance & discount, my daughter's $3700. I feel like I am paying for peace of mind and time (they save me time). My daughter's teeth look great, and turned out just as they predicted. can't comment on my son's as his Tx isn't done yet. The assistants are super nice, relate well to the kids, and remember what you talked about last time. My ONLY complaint is that the female doctor started pulling my daughter's teeth (the roots were gone, they were caught on her appliance which is normal) without saying what she was about to do. It did not startle or hurt my daughter, j surprised me. I did not know anyone at TDR before I was referred there.

Also very professional, very kind & friendly. I've noticed through the years as well that there is a low-turnover. The staff that treated my daughter, now treats me, several years later! Dr. Bridget, Dr. Valmy, & staff are patient & thorough; your teeth will be perfection! The process is explained in a way that's easy to understand, from the treatment plan to the payment plan. The waiting area has current magazines, wifi, Nickelodeon on the tv, and toys for the little ones. Conveniently located on Metropolitan Parkway, just west of Mound, on the north side.

I had gotten the wire on my braces tightened for the first time and it hurt a lot so I was crying a bit. I walked from the patient chair straight through the waiting room and out of the office. I was already almost out the door when the lady at the front desk goes "Are those tears I see?!" Of course I kept walking out. She didn't ask if I was okay or anything, and you would think she could tell I just wanted to leave, but instead she said "Are those tears I see?" That was a specific personal experience I had but there are also bad things that everyone experiences here. I hated coming here because of how long I had to spend in the waiting room. Luckily, the chairs in the waiting room are comfortable because that is where you'll be spending a lot of time. I usually got here about 10 minutes before my appointment and wasn't called back for at least 25-30 minutes after my appointment time. My best friends' mom who recommended this orthodontist to us also complains about the long wait in the waiting room. They give you a punch card at your first appointment and you can get different prizes depending on how many cards you fill. When I first started here, the big prize for filling 4 punch cards was a $150 gift card which I was very excited for. I decided from the beginning that was what I would save up for. Once I finally saved up 4 full punch cards, they had changed the prizes to smaller amounts on the gift cards. The best gift card I could get at my last appointment was a $25 giftcard for 3 punch cards. I chose a $25 Amazon gift card and got a $5 Starbucks giftcard with my 4th punch card. The original prize was a very generous amount, but the reason I'm upset is because the $150 gift card was what I was saving up for. Once I finally got enough filled punch cards after 4 years, the prize I got was a fifth of what I had saved up for. I wish they had at least let us know before they changed the prize amount because then I could've at least claimed a giftcard for however many punch cards I had filled at the time. This only upset me because that big prize was what I was looking forward to, especially after 4 years here and the amount of time I spent in the waiting room. I often had to get out of school early because they were always fully booked with after school appointments since most patients are teenagers. On the first day of seventh grade I was at a new school for junior high and I had to leave early on the FIRST DAY for an appointment to get my expander. This was a major inconvenience because I didn't know my way around the school yet and I already had to leave before sixth hour on the first day. However, AT LEAST after 4 years my teeth are finally straight. My teeth started out with my 2 front teeth straight but the tooth on each side sticking further forward. I also had an overbite. After 4 years, my teeth are finally straight and the orthodontic pain is done. And I don't just mean the physical pain of an expander and braces. I also mean the stress I felt every time I was in that waiting room. I knew whatever they did was going to hurt so the 30+ minutes in the waiting room just made it worse waiting for what was going to happen. Even worse, I often was still waiting about 15 minutes after getting seated before they started anything. One time they put the thing that sucks air to dry your teeth in my mouth and had me bite down on it for like 15 minutes while they were doing something with other patients which bothered me because I didn't know when they were going to come back. Hopefully you find a better orthodontist after reading this review.

He's a jerk, treats his staff like they're incompetent in front of his clients, charges way too much for the low grade services he gives and the results are poor in the end. The only thing that was tolerable about this place was his staff (the ones that actually stayed). I've never seen such a high turn over rate for employees at an office, the staff was never the same each time I went in. He needs to quit being a stingy jerk, update his office and get his stuff together. For as much as I paid him, he could at least update his office a little. Oh and as a "you're done, congratulations" gift he gave me crappy toothbrushes and miniature toothpastes. Seriously, find a different person...he's awful all around.

I don't normally go out of my way to post negative reviews, but when you're talking about the…read moresignificant financial investment of orthodontics for your kids, I think people deserve to know what they're getting into. This past summer, while we were home in the U.S. (we live overseas in Dakar, Senegal), we started our 12-year-old's orthodontics, as she needed to have four teeth pulled and we didn't want to have oral surgery done overseas. We decided to go ahead and have the braces applied to keep the teeth from shifting after her surgery, knowing that all of her treatment (outside of having the braces put on) would happen here in Dakar. Based on the recommendation of a friend (who had actually only been in the office for a consultation), we went to Ortho by Hyduk in Troy, MI. Be very, very cautious about entering into a contract with Ortho by Hyduk. Do not believe anything they tell you verbally -- getting your signature on that piece of paper is all that matters to them. We made the mistake of not reading the contract thoroughly enough because we trusted what we had been told verbally, and now we are out several hundred dollars for services we never received. When we questioned the billing, the office staff basically shrugged their shoulders and said, "Hey, you signed the contract." There was absolutely zero willingness to take any responsibility for the miscommunication (and I'm giving them the benefit of the doubt here by saying "miscommunication" -- for all I know they intentionally misled us hoping we wouldn't notice the extra fee buried in the contract). It was clear in our further communications that this office couldn't care less about customer satisfaction or service. Why give your money to a business that's the dental equivalent of a used car sales lot? Take your business elsewhere -- there are plenty of great orthos out there who won't take advantage of you to make a buck.
