Playing technician roulette, wondering who I would get and how rough would it be that day. It was a classic 'I hate the dentist' experience. Then, a friend of my mom's recommended Dr. Nowicki to her. She had her first visit and she told me right after that I would definitely want to go there too. So I decided to switch it up. Such a great decision. I can actually say I enjoy visiting the dentist now, because Dr. Nowicki and his team are not only great at what they do, but they are great people as well. From day one, I've felt very welcomed by Dr. Nowicki's office and similarly to Olive Garden, when you're there you feel like family (you really do). Every technician I've had has been very friendly and provided a great cleaning along with great care advice and answers to my questions. Not only that, but the team will take the time to help you out. During a regular cleaning visit, it was discovered I needed a minor filling. Instead of making me schedule something out, Dr. Nowicki went out of his way to squeeze in the minor filling right then and there for me. Lastly, I'd just like to elaborate on how kind doctor and his team are. I've had great conversations and I truly have received helpful care advice that was not previously provided by my old office or taken the time to be given. So it's the little things like that that let me know I've found my permanent dentist office while I live in the metro Detroit area. I recommend Dr. Nowicki and his team to anyone who hates going to the dentist or is in need of a new dentist or simply wants to visit a more personal, friendly team. Thanks guys!!

I finally went in for my appointment after getting several texts and phone calls to make sure that I was coming. Never once was I asked about my insurance again so it would seem that I was at least covered for my cleaning and exam. When everything was done, I was presented with a list of the work I would need (deep cleaning, root canal, etc.) My teeth were not cleaned on this visit. I was told they'd contact my insurance company to find out if these other procedures would be covered. I had to call this afternoon to remind them. Once they realized there screw up about my insurance coverage (they don't accept mine even though, as previously stated, I was led to believe I was covered for the exam, etc.) they tried to tell me that I now owe them over $300 for the exam and x-rays! So now after saying that I was all set for the appointment that I had, they now expect me to pay them out of my own pocket! You screwed up so I'm supposed to pay for your mistake? I don't think so!

It almost felt as if she was looking down on me, which made the experience uncomfortable. However, that all changed during my last appointment. Instead of my usual assistant, I was greeted by a different dental assistant, Mrs. Rose. From the moment she walked in, she radiated warmth, kindness, and genuine care. She was the sweetest person and made me feel comfortable, even though I had come in feeling down about my dental problems. She took the time to explain everything to me and offered reassurance that truly made a difference in my experience. I am so grateful for her kindness and the positive impact she had on my visit. It should have been a new patient exam. Possible a debriment since it had been 5 years and see how the patient responds. I was in the dental managment industry for over 25 years, and this kind of crap is why I left. Not to mention there was no fee/copay disclosure before starting treatment. I will be putting in a formal complaint with Delta Dental. I did call and was told they did everything correct.

I was in pain for weeks because of my wisdom teeth. I couldn't sleep or eat right day and night. Then, after deciding that I have to finally go, I had difficult time finding an office that accepted my Medicaid insurance. After talking to the front receptionist here who answered the phone right away, I was able to learn that they take my insurance and that I can be seen a day later. The place has a very modern design and noise-free, which is rare in a dental office. Anyway, the staff and Dr. Billy made me feel very comfortable and relaxed by offering options for treatment.
