Our powder room toilet flooded our home causing extensive damage upstairs and to the basement. We had a sewer pipe that needed to be fixed - He knew exactly what the problem was because he was familiar with the original installation as my development was being built - he takes interest in the community especially has a keen interest in the plumbing aspects of his community. He didn't need to charge me an exorbitant amount of money just to assess the problem as two other companies wanted to. He dug a small 6' hole, fixed the problem and reseeded the patch for grass growth. Later I called him to check on my powder room toilet - it wasn't flushing right. He replaced a tube on to the flushing system (took all of 1 second). He noticed that the exposed air conditioning wall stack (exposed until our home is repaired from the flood) had holes in it. He went out to his truck and he patched up the holes with aluminum tape. Above & beyond. It's nice to deal with an upstanding person who takes pride in his profession. He called it a courtesy call.

I knew he would take apart the dryer to clean the lint from inside the bottom as well as get the duct work cleaned. He tested everything after he was done and wasn't happy with the force of the air coming out from the roof vent. He went up into our attic and took apart a section of the vent pipe and found a stubborn ball of lint. That made all the difference. Like my last review, Jon was on time (actually a few minutes early) changed his footwear every time he entered and left the house, completely cleaned up everything in the area where he worked and even went up on the roof in the rain. Moyer was one of three estimates I received and was the most thorough when preparing the quote. The…read moreservice rep who came over was great and seemed to be upfront with everything. He even brought up things that I could use to renegotiate with the other two and I really appreciated that. One thing that bothered me about Moyer is their need to secure a local township permit to complete the work where the other 2 never even mentioned it. Moyer selling point to me and th on that BTW- I found that the permit actually cost $190.00 and I know the cost was just absorbed into the quoted price so they could say "they" covered it which he informed me that they did. Well I just received the notice from Hatfield to come out to inspect the job which included a warning NOT to pay the contractor in full until the inspection was complete. WAIT. Moyers rules are to pay a deposit ahead of the work and then payment in full at completion. It's all paid for and I have no idea if we are going to get stuck with an extra expense if they find something wrong with their work. The 3 techs who installed the heat pump took plenty of pics, which they shared to us, so I figured they would jut furnish them to the township. Keep in mind The work was just a replacement for the 18 year old Lennox that crashed on us so I'm not sure the permit cost was truly necessary. If you use Moyer be sure to ask about this part of the deal as it doesn't truly make sense to me. So far so good with the new Trane product.
