On February 10, 3021, I had a 3rd treatment out of 10 PREPAID laser package. I encountered a rude receptionist. She attempted to point a laser at my head to take my temperature. I have been to Laser Away on two previous occasions and there was never a problem taking a alternate location recommended temperature reading on my wrist. I explained to her that she could take my temperature on my wrist or elbow crease (as I have had done at a Medical and Dental office) and she proceeded to rudely argue with me, which I found very disrespectful. She finally relented, and took my temperature on my wrist, which was in normal range and I proceeded to my third treatment. I asked for her supervisor and corporate information and I explained to her she needed to be better informed, which I could see visibly annoyed her. I contacted corporate, filed a complaint and was informed I would receive a call back within 48 hours. I never received a follow up from corporate or the Costa Mesa location. On 3/8/21 I contacted Laser Away in Costa Mesa to change my standing once a month appointment and I was informed I was blocked from any future service for "name calling", which is not true, unless you consider saying the receptionist is "ill informed". Pointing laser at your forehead disrupts your sleeping patterns and calcifies your pineal gland. What bothers me the most is that 1) no one contacted me to discuss the incident, 2) no one contacted me to inform me they blocked me from further service and 3) no one contacted me to "REFUND" my remaining balance on my account. I Requested an immediate refund for Services not rendered and it may be refunded to the same payment method given when the package was purchased. If you no longer have my payment method, please contact me immediately. Needless to say, I am very disappointed in the lack of customer service I received from this establishment and I will gladly be taking my business elsewhere, along with my family and friends. I had to block the number. They call 2-4 times a day and send email at a minimum of every 2 days. I wanted laser hair removal for so long and finally decided to invest with LaserAway! I bought the package worth $7,500 and had a pretty pleasant experience but was really saddened by the end of my treatment to realize I probably should never have gone. I have a hormonal disease called PCOS and told the clinician nearly every session I went to that I had it. It wasn't until my final appointment that I was told that hormonal changes can completely reverse hair removal results. I have found this to be true and after what I was told would be enough treatments for total permanent hair removal there is only a slight difference. Thousands of dollars down the drain! I wish I would have been told this earlier so I could save all of that time and money. I'm sure its worthwhile for most women but I'm sad that I wasn't informed about the risk of it not being permanent.
