No bruising or any other side effects. I like how they recommend a 2 week follow-up to double check everything. They put 1 unit above one eyebrow to even out the eyebrow raise. 2nd visit was offered a water, and then I consulted with the first lady about my questions, then my nurse injector came in with a student (or trainee), and she was super informative as well. I had a great experience at NakedMD for my lip filler appointment. I went in wanting a very specific look: a fuller top lip than bottom, slight projection (not just outlining), a softly enhanced Cupid's bow (not too sharp), and to keep my bottom lip minimal since I already have volume there. When I arrived, I was brought back and cleared by the NP. We discussed my goals, and they took before photos. Shortly after, Maddie came in and I explained exactly what I was hoping to achieve. She was very attentive and had me look in a mirror with her while we talked through shape, balance, and options, which I really appreciated. I decided to go with one full syringe, but I actually chose to stop before finishing it and ended up not using about 0.2 mL because I already loved how my lips looked. I never felt pressured to use the entire syringe, which made me feel like the focus was truly on achieving the right result rather than just using product. UPDATE BELOW: I had a mixed experience here. The space was clean and modern, and the staff were pleasant. I booked the $150 new client deal for half a syringe. However, once in the treatment room, I was immediately pitched a different filler option that cost $250 more. It felt like the assumption was I'd proceed rather than being asked if I wanted that. I did agree, but the approach felt off. The injector was kind but worked quite fast, and the procedure was more painful than I expected. Post-care, I was handed a $40 lip mask (without really being asked) as another add-on. My lips look good so far, but overall, I felt upsold and rushed. UPDATE: The manager Nikki reached out to me after my review and honestly she was super sweet and professional! As someone who's getting things done to my face I really just want to feel heard, comfortable and confident with the process and she definitely made me feel that way. She listened to all of my concerns and made it clear that her priority was making sure I was happy with my results. She set me up with a two week follow up appointment and I also had a third visit after that. I booked an appointment at NakedMD in Newport Beach after seeing an advertisement for $49 forehead Botox. Looking back, I wish the advertisement had been more transparent. While the fine print may explain it, I didn't realize the special only covers the upper portion of the forehead and not the area closer to the brows. That distinction is important because treating only the upper forehead can increase the likelihood of heaviness in the brow area or slight brow drooping. I wish this had been made clearer before I booked my appointment instead of finding out once I was there. As for the visit itself, it just wasn't a great experience. The front desk receptionist was pleasant enough, but nothing stood out in terms of customer service. The staff member who brought me back, took my photos, and prepared me to meet with the registered nurse came across as annoyed and uninterested. She didn't make me feel welcomed or comfortable, and the interaction felt very transactional. Botox can be intimidating, especially if it's your first time. You're putting needles and a neurotoxin into your face, so I expected a little more warmth, patience, and reassurance throughout the process. I had questions about other areas I was considering treating with Botox, but every time I asked, I felt like I was inconveniencing her. Instead of making me feel informed, I left feeling like I shouldn't be asking questions. She also spent time discussing pricing when I hadn't asked about it, and the way it was presented made me feel as though she assumed I couldn't afford additional services. Maybe I was reading too much into it, but I did show up in sweats, and the interaction left me feeling judged. I've been to several other med spas for facials and other treatments, and the difference in customer service was noticeable. The best experiences I've had are with staff who are warm, personable, and make you feel genuinely cared for. Unfortunately, I didn't get that feeling here. When I checked out, there were several employees at the front desk, but no one acknowledged me beyond taking my payment. No "How was your visit?" No "Thank you." No "Have a great day." It was a small thing, but it reinforced the overall experience. To be fair, the spa itself is beautiful, clean, and has a nice ambiance. However, customer service matters just as much as the aesthetics, especially in an industry where clients are trusting you with their appearance. Unfortunately, I wouldn't return, even for another promotion. If you're looking for a med spa in Orange County, I highly recommend Biolite Wellness instead. Every visit I've had there has been the complete opposite experience. The staff is genuinely friendly, welcoming, and takes the time to answer questions and make you feel comfortable. The entire appointment felt rushed, with too much product placed incorrectly and injected too quickly. I went in for nose filler and came out with chin filler as well as a retouch on my lip filler I had done about 2 weeks ago. Staff was lovely and very communicative, I love my chin and nose filler but I feel like I got botched on my lip filler.
