Only downside is the anxiety-inducing setup due to a lack of privacy from other clients and a small space with 4 chairs packed next to one another. I don't like writing negative reviews of small businesses but I think my experience might be helpful. I came in for a full set and got a chemical burn to both eyes in the process. I had been wincing throughout because the technician was pressing so hard into my eyes it felt like I was getting lasik again. Ive gotten lashes dozens of times and at different places and never had that experience. I tried to tolerate the stinging feeling but after a point I couldn't. After leaving the pain got worse and worse. I had to be seen urgently by a doctor (500$) and the lash session itself was 205$ before gratuity to it was a very expensive endeavor and I don't even like the lashes. They look fake and dramatic when I was going for natural. I have been seeing her since September (when I first discovered lash extensions) and I don't feel the need to check out any other place in Portland. It's a cute and cozy business that is welcoming and friendly. I had trouble deciding what lash was the best fit for me but Eva was patient and worked with me until we decided the "Natural" look was right for me. She took notes each time to make sure I was happy with my results. I see her every 2-3 weeks and I couldn't be happier. The first time I came in I booked with Raylee and she did not disappoint! I was very impressed with how nicely the lashes came out and how skilled she was, especially since she is one of the newer technicians. She had me looking so cute right on time for my 21st birthday !! She explained to me all the aftercare and everything too, and they stayed really well and still looked cute even after 4 weeks! The second time I came in I saw Yuko, who does the lashing as a master tech and was thoroughly impressed as well! I was amazed at how much she was able to do in just a 90 minute fill. I'm a bit disappointed because I made an appointment online to get a lash lift, and brow and lip wax. I called them before making the appointment to make sure they did waxing as this wasn't an option on the online scheduling. The lady who I spoke with told me to just schedule a lash removal and she would change it to brow and lip wax. So I scheduled an appointment for a lash lift and lash removal (brow/lip wax) and received a confirmation text. Late at night I received a text that the appointment had been modified to brow/lip wax. It was too late for me to contact them to see why the lash lift was no longer showing on my appointment. I went to my appointment the next day and Emily, the aesthetician asked if I was only getting a brow/lip wax. I told her that I had scheduled a lash lift as well. She looked at the schedule and said she wouldn't be able to do a lash lift since my appointment only showed I was there for a brow/lip wax. She asked if I wanted to reschedule. Unfortunately I couldn't because I was leaving town and I had taken time off work for this appointment. I decided to go ahead and get the wax. I don't feel like the brow wax was effective at all. I'm guessing they don't do too much waxing because the wax didn't seem like high quality wax and it did not remove much so Emily ended up primarily tweezing. I appreciate that Emily didn't think I needed a lip wax, so she saved me money. Emily was very sweet and apologetic. I'm just so bummed that the lash lift was canceled, as I had set aside time to get it done before leaving town. read more

I'm not one for beauty things but I happened to stop by Lash Club off of Hawthorne for some lash extensions. My lash technician was Molly and she was so sweet. She made sure I was comfortable and consistently asked me if I was doing okay during the whole lashing process. Her lash retention lasted for over two weeks and I literally still had full lashes by the end of 1 month. She told me how to properly care for my lashes which is probably why they lasted much longer than what I've previously been told. I hope she gets into lash lifts too because I'd be so interested! I did a lot of research before I selected Lash Club and if I am being honest, I actually had selected a different place (solo practitioner) first but the timing did not work out so I decided to go to a place that specialized in lashes and lashes only (the llama marketing also got me). In doing so, I found a private salon with two people working. They were both extremely kind and it did not feel like a competitive spot where employees are territorial or uncomfortable at all. I found the atmosphere to be so calming because there are cute llamas everywhere and privacy partitions between the two stations. My appointment was with Eva and I will certainly book with her in the future. She was patient with me when I came in semi unprepared (I did not have a lash curl or game plan really at all) and throughout the visit, she did not make me feel bad for being admittedly fidgety for the last hour. I love the way my sexy-eye-cat-eye classic lashes came out and will be back for a fill-in in a couple weeks! read more
