After my last fill with another salon I decided not to go back and get my fill done with Jaime instead and so happy I picked her! I know my lashes aren't as thick so they can't be exactly what I want but she did it! They're fluffy and have random long ones which I like! I'm so picky and so over going to someone new every time but I think that has come to an end, finally! Literally one thing will keep me from going back to someone, but there isn't one bad thing I can really say about her work! Good: she's gentle can barely feel anything, bed is the comfiest I've laid on, takes her time, asks what you like , gives you a awesome goody bag, teaches you how to clean lashes, brushes them throughly often throughout the process, eyes didn't burn, eyes didn't feel teary, no lashes stuck to the bottom, she did my bottom lashes for free!! Bad: parking!! Ugh that sucked! I came almost 20 minutes early and was 4 minutes late! So make sure to arrive early to find a spot! I didn't think it would be that busy since I had a 10am appointment but I was wrong! But that's not her fault obviously she's fabulous at what she does! I think I found my new lash artist! At my first visit she was incredibly warm & welcoming and I immediately knew I made the right decision. She did a fill (from someone else's work) and then recommended a complete removal and new set at the next visit. She also gave me a goodie bag with lots of fun little surprises and a coffee mug I actually use in the morning :) Not to mention, provided the most thorough education I've received to date on how to take care of my natural lashes and the extensions. I've been seeing her religiously every 2 weeks since the move and highly recommend her! Great music & great conversation throughout the visits. AND she's super helpful with recommendations on anything we talk about - follows up text with resources, etc. It's pretty rad. I visit Portland every summer for work, and was in search of a…read morelash technician while here, and came across Miss Knockout (after analyzing many Yelp reviews + noticing her experience with Asian eyes). I opted for a textured volume cat eye style, and Kimmie delivered - they initially looked amazing. Now, here is the explanation for why I have to ultimately dock two stars. While we're still ironing out lash retention issues (my right eye seems to be shedding more quickly than my left one - maybe the heat and humidity of Portland summers is the culprit?), Kimmie has been understanding and has scheduled me in for quick touch ups. I understand Kimmie has an extremely busy personal and professional life, but for me to have to take time off work to Uber to her salon is also frustrating for me as well. Even after my quick touch-up, I am still experiencing some lash shed, which should not occur so quickly. A fan even shed the same day of the touch-up which is frustrating. I've never really experienced this issue with any other lash tech, from LA to Portland. In fact, after my last touch-up just two days ago, I have already managed to collect at least eight (!) more fans that have shedded. However, I feel bad about constantly contacting the salon for the same issue. It's probably frustrating on both of our ends. I just want to note that I am a back sleeper and extremely careful about not getting my lashes wet, even when showering. So I know that my lash care is not the culprit - I suspect maybe my lashes have not been cleaned and prepped properly beforehand. After reading other reviews, it seems like there is one other general consensus - perhaps the lash glue MK uses is not of the best quality, as retention is dismal. Also, another small issue that rubbed me the wrong way is that when I called, the lady over the phone offered a 10% off promo for new customers, but when it came time to pay for my service, the 10% discount wasn't honored. I would've used that 10% discount as a cash tip towards Kimmie anyway, so I think ultimately it was a small gesture that she should have honored. Oh well. Regardless of not honoring the promo, I tipped anyway, at the end of the day. On a positive note, the MK space is very well-appointed and beautifully decorated, with snacks and drinks for waiting clients. I appreciated this little touch and level of customer service. And because Kimmie is a hardworking business owner, I hope for the sake of her business that it thrives!

I was never refunded and had to get a refund through my bank. My friend made an appointment and showed up to find nobody there and she waited for two hours and texted and called the lash tech who never replied or showed up. Honestly, not even sure she exists or if this is a real business. Be mindful cause there is a fair chance this is a scam.

She washes my lashes each time, make sure they match my eye shape, and make sure each lash is perfect. Getting lashes can be time consuming but the time and effort is worth every penny. I feel like I'm not even wearing lash extensions because they are so light and airy. I have never had an issue with retention even if I have waited 3-4 weeks or longer they still look beautiful. I would never let any other lash artist near my eyes after coming to Becky. No one can do lashes like she can.
