I am ashamed that it has taken me so long to write this review. Rally no excuse other than total…read moresummer laziness. Jenn is, and I kid you not, a Beauty Fairy Godmother. Since I've met her my looks have been completely upgraded. Not only has she turned me on to THE BEST hairdresser, and a nurse who expertly fills my sagging face with "stuff" that makes me look 10 years younger, but she is genius with eyebrows and make-up. Seriously. If you read back on my previous reviews you will see a few entries about eyebrows. Eyebrows will MAKE or BREAK your face. If they are done properly you will look tight, fresh, awake, and chic. Done incorrectly your face is jacked-up. This is not an exaggeration. I'd stopped doing anything because I was paying A LOT of money and was still bummed about my brows. So I had sort of given up......And then I met Jenn. I was mesmerized by her own make-up and brows and I could tell she was horrified by mine. God bless her sweet heart she kept her mouth shut. When I finally gave her a shot at shaping my brows......OMG....brow perfection. She does threading which I knew about but never through string could produce definition and shape. I'm here to assure you that in the right hands it does! So gone are the days of paying $60 for brows and HELLO to $25! I also tried eyelash extensions. Jenn did them to perfection but turns out I'm not a lash extension girl. They just weren't for me, but if you want them you gotta' see her. Finally, I hired Jenn to do my wedding make-up. She card so much about making me happy that I was touched. She did an awesome job and the make-up lasted ALL DAY LONG. My face didn't slide off, run, smudge. I don't know how she did it. I could have probably slept in the make-up and woke up looking perfect. Next I will be having Jenn work on my skin care - she's a licensed esthetician. I can't wait. So this time, I think I get a new girl. It takes her forever to just to file my nails, which are already decently shaped. She scrapes the skin along the nails while doing so. Them she puts the bottom coat on, and then realizes she forgot to do the massage. Does that, while awkwardly avoiding the nails. Clips cuticles, even though there's literally nothing to cut. Snips my skin and I start bleeding, she doesn't apologize but puts on some unidentified oil with a non sterile brush. Starts painting and cannot keep the polish on my nails. I tell her one coat is fine, and she says that she's already done two coats on one hand. Nope! She just forgot which hand she started with. She then uses acetone to remove all the polish from my skin, nail by nail. Almost an hour later (an hour, and just one coat?!), all I want to do is get the hell out of there! Will not be returning.

I was able to be taken right away when I walked in, which was nice. There were three nail techs working, and there always seemed like there were four customers, but no one had to wait too long. The place seems to be pretty clean. The carpet is old and some of the furniture and pictures are old, but they looked like they were clean, and anytime anyone finished with a manicure/pedicure, they took the tools into this back room (where I'm hoping they had one of those disinfectant ovens). The polish selection isn't great, but it's not bad either. They had a version of every shade from fluorescent to baby pink from Essie and OPI. I even think I saw OPI You Don't Know Jacque which I was considering, but I went with a basic light pink. The polish application was pretty even, but I don't feel like the manicure has the same high-shine that I've received other places. The shaping was nice, and there was a quick hand rub in there, too. All in all, I feel like this is a solid nail salon, and it's hard to be hyper-critical over a $10 manicure. Also, the wall art is amazing. I particularly love the picture that says, "Money and Nails" and has someone folding her perfectly manicured talons over a giant pile of cash. I will probably be back here as it seems clean, cheap, and is close to my house. It's not going to be my go-to, but it's great in a pinch.
