I have tried all facials in Boston, from your shady hole-in-the-wall spots in Chinatown to the bougie, mostly white, upper class clientele ones on Newbury street, and Anh is by far the best. This is my first time getting a facial with Anh, and I am so far very impressed. We decided to get a Dermalinfusion for my extremely clogged pores. She walked me through every step so nothing came as a shock when she performed the treatment. She answered enthusistically when my inner nerd came out and asked her all sorts of derm questions. I could see results after just one facial, although she did tell me that that I might see some whiteheads surface again. She said that as long as I was consistent, we will see it through until I feel no bumps under my skin again. Will update once I start coming more consistently. ALSO! I came in last week for a hydra facial md by Anh. Facial left my skin feeling very light and clear. The results were even more visible the day after. Ann was gentle and explained every step during the process of the facial. My skin is somewhat sensitive so Anh applied a cucumber serum that had a really nice cooling effect. Addendum: I still come here semi-regularly and decided to pamper myself last week with the new dermalinfusion! Definitely made my skin a little brighter and softer, which is important in the Boston harsh weather. As you can see in my pics, it doesn't address my post inflammatory hyperpigmentation which is one of my primary concerns, but it does brighten up skin. No big breakouts afterward except for at one place where she did a manual extraction. Highly recommend! I hope to return for another one in a month when I have the means to spoil myself. read more

I hadn't had a facial in years, but I made a last-minute appointment at Back Bay because the winter air was doing a number on my skin. After one service with Anh, I hope to make this a more regular treat. Anh perfectly balances explanation of services with relaxation. I never felt uninformed about what was happening or why, but I was also able to get into a deep, relaxed, trance-like state more than a few times. At the end of my facial, my face was rehydrated and in tip-top shape. Also! Anh never pushes in-house products upon you to buy. They're available if you need some assistance, but there won't be an uncomfortable sales pitch when your services are finished. That's a testament to the kind of person and business owner she is. Anh rocks!!! I had never had a facial of any kind, and had only had a bikini wax once before somewhere else at a sort of chain nail salon, and was blown away by how little pain I experienced and how comfortable I felt. Eyebrow Waxing - Anh did a great job keeping my thinning eyebrows looking as thick as possible while paying great detail to symmetry and my feedback on a few individual hairs at the end! She really cared that I was happy with the outcome. Brow Waxing - Was my first time, and being a sensitive area I was nervous, but she used a gentler paraffin wax and it was not bad at all. Bikini Wax - Was SO nervous after my initial painful experience (it is always the worst the first time after shaving for years, but still.) Anh was really gentle and quick, and I can relax with confidence poolside in LA next week! (She is from CA and gave me some stellar recommendations for what to do while there as well.) Facial - I went with the most basic offering, the Hydro facial, which Anh ended up customizing for me on the final step with a calming cucumber mask because my skin was so red and sensitive after the extraction. She showed me what she had extracted after and it looked like an aquarium exhibit...so many blackheads and things floating around, so gross, yet so satisfying. When I looked in the mirror when I got home (the true test, in lighting that you're very used to) It looked like I had just applied a fresh coat of concealer that made me GLOW. After only one treatment, there was immediate, noticeable improvement, and I will be returning for more treatments as although it's not cheap, I'll be saving a TON of money on makeup and all these ridiculous trendy home care attempts which has never even gotten me CLOSE to how amazing my skin looks now. I went here for my first Brazilian wax because of all the great reviews Anh has - the other reviewers were not exaggerating! I was a little nervous but Anh put me right at ease, she was quick and answered all my (many) questions! While I don't think any Brazilian is painless, I imagine this is a pain free as it gets. I got a basic hydrafacial with Ahn and she was great. She was patient, very kind, and explained what she was doing. My skin looked super hydrated after she applied the final serums. When I got home ( ~ 1 hr postfacial) and looked more closely at my face, I noticed that I had quite a few visible blackheads around my nose and on my cheeks. She did mention that there were some pores that were extra tight and in that case blackheads were not easily extracted. Unfortunately it turned out that I had many of those areas, as I have many visible blackheads left (all along my nose). Although this was disappointing, it is probably skin-type dependent and other clients with different skin types might see better results. I am looking forward to another visit and am hopeful that future facials with Ahn can clear out more of the congestion! read more

I came here for a wax and was really excited to see all the great reviews for the waxing here. I will say the atmosphere in this spa is great. Very clean and professional. Both the lady at the front desk and Anh, who waxed me, were pleasant to talk to. The room where Anh waxed me was also very clean and definitely had a spa-like atmosphere. Anh told me that she likes to work fast which I can appreciate. The wax was as painless as a wax could be. However what leaves me disappointed is that after the wax I still had lots of hair left! I had to shave the day after the wax to be truly hairless. Perhaps I wouldn't mind of it were cheaper, but I spent over $80 to have to shave over the wax. On Tuesday 2/26 I went in for a hydra facial with my cousin. Let me just say I am impressed. The receptionist was super nice and even let me use her charger since my phone was dying. I don't remember her name (I'm bad with names, sorry) During the facial Anh tells you what she is going to do and the purpose of what she is doing. She is a very nice lady. Shook both of our hands to greet us. Her spa is very clean. The bathroom is very clean (Which is a big deal to me). During my facial we talked a bit and she made me feel super comfortable to talk to her. She recommends getting facials every month so I'll make sure to make an appt every other month with her.
