The nail technicians here are very nice and put a lot of care into their work. I got a mani pedi with hot stone massage and I felt like the nail technician had a great attention to detail and strong massage pressure. There are lots of colors to choose from and the prices are very reasonable and affordable. While the interior decor may be a little bit older / not as trendy as some places, the atmosphere is calming with nice peaceful music. Overall I appreciate that they seemed to really care about customers and were very nice. read more

I had been coming here for years. I will never come here again!! I came in to get an acrylic set. While taking off my old set they ripped off one of my natural nails, and still charged me for a full set. When i brought it up to the gentleman owner he said there's nothing they can do. They did not apologize, they just brushed it off like they didn't care. My skin is raw and exposed and they just cared about getting paid. VERY DISAPPOINTING. Horrible customer service. read more

It is very similar to other customers, horrific experience. The nail tech was extremely rude throughout the whole time. If I would ask her to file my mail she would aggressively pull on my hand and say things in a rude manner. I asked her to cut my cuticles because they were extremely dry and needed attention and she pretended to cut them. I asked her to please cut my cuticles once again because my skin is extremely dry and they looked horrible. Once again she rolled her eyes at me and yanked my hands!!!!!!! I was so frustrated through the whole time. One of my nails was cut at an angle and I told her to please even it out and she walked away with an attitude once again. Also the bottles of nail polish were EMPTY!!!!! She kept turning the bottle's upside waiting for a drop to come down!!! I told her there isn't any more nail polish in those bottles and told her to get a different nail polish, she refused and continued! Everything I kept on asking her to do she wasn't doing,such a nightmare of a job!!! The whole time was so upsetting. I wasn't going to pay her a tip but I still fell bad for her. When I did give her a tip she threw it on the counter and refused it. Made it well known it wasn't good enough by screaming that I gave her a $6 tip. In reality she didn't deserve anything. Then when I went to pay she asked for the tip then she was trying to be nice by say "Merry Christmas " I already by then had a face! I got gel manicure pedicure on a Friday & by Saturday my nails both pedi & mani were chipping!!!! Don't go there, spread the word and save your $$ go elsewhere. Add another unsatisfied & frustrated customer to the list! Don't think twice. I should of gotten up and left!!! Totally regretted the whole experience! It's been over a month since I got these filled and they still look great. No broken nails, no lifting. Well worth the money. The woman who did my nails took her time and wasn't in a rush. So very NOT happy right now. I went for my first powder manicure at Star Nail last week. I have been going there for pedicures for a couple of years and for manicures once in a while. My friend convinced me to try a powder manicure so I did. SO DISAPPOINTED!! The lady who did my manicure did not push my cuticles back and she did not paint the nail down to the cuticle. The result looked very unprofessionally done. I asked her if she could push the cutcle back but she said you do that after the polish is put on. Sounded odd but okay.... I wasn't happy with the manicure from day 1 but on day 7 there were cracks on one of the nails then it started to chip. The shop was closed for two days so I called today to ask them to give me a new manicure. The man I spoke to refused to do it. He said they would fix the nail with the cracks and chips. I asked him if he would stand by the work and if he would consider it a good manicure. He wouldn't answer just said I should have come in earlier. I would have if they had been open for the last two days. I'm very disappointed. As I said I've been going there for years and am disappointed they would not fix what is very obviously a poor manicure. ADVICE: Do not go there on a Sunday and if you experience any problems with your manicure take a pic of it and make sure it's timestamped. I wish I had thought to do that. Overall very very disappointed. Waste of money!! read more

Came in yesterday for a regular pedicure. For $18 you soak your feet in this squishy purple foam substance, get a pedi, get a 10 minute massage (5 each foot/get) which she times, then while sitting in the drying seat she massaged my back and neck for about 5 minutes. I stopped in here on a Saturday to get a quick gel manicure. I was able to get in right away, and my manicurist (Anna) did a great job. You also get a neck and shoulder massage while waiting for your nails to dry. A gel manicure was $25, but I saw that they did regular manicures starting at $8. They offer a lot of different services (including eyelash extensions!), so I will definitely be back to try them out. They're also running some summer mani/pedi specials right now for about $35. read more

I usually go to Lina Nail to get my acrylics done but they were starting to break off on a Sunday, Lina's was closed and I couldn't wait. My friend from work had recommended this place to me maybe a week or two ago, so I decided to try it out and I was NOT disappointed. Not only did my nails come out perfect, but I also received a complimentary shoulder massage! I was so relaxed the entire time, from the service to the atmosphere. Everyone was so polite. After the shoulder massage, I decided to stay for a 30 minute back massage. I suffer from severe scoliosis and after the massage, my pain level had decreased from a 6/10 to a 1/10. Plus I smelled really good from the lotion I was seriously blown away and I made sure that the masseuse knew how happy I was with her service. The prices are really good, too! After receiving raving reviews from a few friends, I decided to check out Star Nail & Spa for a ANC manicure and pedicure. Upon my arrival, the salon appeared to be clean and inviting. The employees were extremely pleasant, helpful and got me seated immediately. I started off with my pedicure. The tech did well with cleaning, filing and cutting But HUNNY when it got time to paint...... I was horrified..... I looked down to see streaks in my polish and the tech proceeded to apply the top coat as if it was a phenomenal job. Long story short, another tech came and repainted my nails . When the time came to start my ANC, as you can imagine, I was slightly reluctant due to the results pedi but I carried on anyway. The tech begins, everything is going well, then boom, she only applies two coats, doesn't use the drill to file down or shape, leaving them thick and lumpy......... 7 days later, my nails falling apart like a 7 dollar mani! For Lack Of Better Words, The Salon Is Cute, Clean and Ran By Friendly Staff, But I Personally Wasn't Pleased With The Services I Received. I Recommend Asking For More Than 2 Coats When Getting ANC. read more

Decided to stop in for a pedicure. Heard about the gel that they use for their pedicures. Had the lemon special for $25.00. Reasonable price for what the girl did. Love the gel!!! Feels great. Fresh lemon was used on my legs with a nice cream. Had a ten minute leg message. Enjoyed the pedicure the girl was extremely quiet!! Not a bad thing but a smile goes a long way! Only a few other customers. It is a very quiet salon and I may go back for just a pedicure. Love the gel!! Wish other places use it and spend a good amount of time while the customer can relax. went here a little while back. i work right down the street and of my coworkers said that she loved the pedicures there. i wasn't getting out of work until 4pm so i called around lunch time to make an appointment for 415. threw was absolutely no point in making an appointment. i walked in and i was greeted. i said i had a 415 appointment for a pedicure and gel manicure. the girl that was talking to me was trying to tell me that i did not make an appointment. i said i called earlier and she continued to tell me that i never made an appointment. i waited almost a half hour before i was seated for a pedicure. the girl that did my pedicure was very sweet and did a great job so i will absolutely not knock her. after that i waited another 20 minutes for my gel manicure by another girl, which was done terribly. it was coated on so thinly and it started chipping away when i got home. i should have just had a regular manicure. overall, the customer service was terrible. i did not like that i was accused of not making appointment. why else would i say i made one? i just thought it was very rude and i don't know if i feel comfortable going back again, even though i did enjoy the pedicure. time will tell. read more

Very clean and you get a lot with what you pay for. Pedicures include hot wax complimentary. Manicures include vitamin e hand massage and end of manicure back massage. My mom and I have been going to get pedicures at Star Nails for years and we've always been satisfied with the service. Today we went again and was shocked at the service. In the middle of my pedicure, I was burned by the hot water and was in a lot of pain. The whole rest of the time they kept asking me if I was okay, they put aloe on my foot, they were extra careful not to hurt me again, they gave me an extra long massage (which was amazing) and they gave me a gift certificate for a mani/pedi. They really went above and beyond and did more than they needed to. I appreciate it very much so and highly recommend Star Nails to everyone. read more

It was lovely, very small. smelled nice. there were only 2 other people in the salon so I was taken right away. The woman who did my nails was very good. massage was good.
