If I could rate 10 stars I would. We booked this place with make up and hair services for my daughter's wedding. I was a little nervous they would make me look too made up or not like myself in the wedding photos. They did both my daughters, myself, my aunt and my mom and everyone looked spectacular. They were very understanding and dedicated to making uou feel confident and beautiful. The place itself is stunning and the food and drink to spend time together and wedding day with bridal party was the perfect start to a memorable day. Lots of insta worthy photo spots and our photographer got some beautiful ones as well in dress room as well as by windows. Emma was a lifesaver with safety pins, steamer for our dresses and the lovely dishes to put icing on day. Thank you all for the most beautiful start to creating a day full of memories. Super heroes. I'm not exaggerating. I am completely blown away by this team. Do not look ANY further than Lashes and Lace. I have never had hair or makeup that has made me feel more beautiful and confident than by Lashes and Lace. They did the PERFECT job of glamming me up, but keeping me true to myself. However, the team is so beyond flexible that if that isn't your goal, they can do that for you too. It can be really scary providing feedback on a service, but Kacie and Anna worked with me to make sure I loved every single hair on my head and every single eyelash. Not only is the entire team an absolutely JOY to be around, but they truly made me and my bridesmaid feel so confident and fantastic on the wedding day. My bridesmaids showed them pictures on Pinterest of what they wanted - and we all know how hard it can be to mirror that. Well, Kacie beyond nailed it. They were OK. My daughter and I had our hair and make up done for my son's wedding. The only reason I gave 3 stars and not 2 was because the bride's hair and makeup was very pretty so I know they're capable. I showed the hairstylist, my inspiration updo hairstyle which was not overly complicated, which I have had done before, and she just looked at me and said it can't be done (in 10 minutes anyway) and then basically did a 10 minute very basic French twist.... I don't even like the French twist and then the makeup artist took a whopping 10 minutes on my make up and I had to keep asking her to fix the eyelashes because they were on crooked, sticking out Ava the eyeliner was wonky and finally just settled. I was the first one to have my hair and make up done so it was at 9:30 for a 4:30 wedding and by the time I got to the church I literally had a bare face so my pictures of course were very natural haha. My everyday makeup is more flattering than what they "did" and I don't wear a lot of make up. They just didn't care and wanted to do bare minimum to get me out of the chair but I have feelings and would have liked to get my money's worth. I'm very easy to please. I wish I had done my own hair and make up. For the mother of the groom it was an utter waste of money. I do both my hair and makeup better than they did and it cost me a lot of money. I also wish I had brought makeup with me that day so I could have reapplied so I didn't look like I just rolled out of bed. read more

My daughter had her hair and makeup done for an outdoor wedding. Now granted this was a hot summer day in August. Her hair looked beautiful for about 60 minutes( all prior to the start of the ceremony) until it began to unravel in the back. She was in air conditioning during this time, so the heat and humidity were not the cause. Luckily for us, we had bobby-pins to save the hair. Lashes and Lace is not cheap ($225 for her services, not including the tip.)so I expected the hair to at least hold up until the dancing began. Her makeup, on the other hand, remained intact. I had my hair hot ironed (no wash or blow dry) for $55. I did not like the results (too much product) and my hair was a sticky frizzy mess midway through the outdoor reception. Be careful who you see when going here for lash extensions! My lashes were placed far too close to my lash line causing burning and itching the first day with them on. There was so much adhesive applied to the lashes that my eyes were glued shut on the corners after she had finished. It burned so bad. When I told the esthetician it was burning and it hurts to open my eyes she said sometimes that happens that it'll go away with time. The second day was far worse which caused me to have a serve allergic reaction. My face and eyes broke out in hives. I became very swollen and itchy. The owner did offer to remove them but at that point I had taken a majority of them off myself with baby oil. I have had my lashes done before and never had an issue. This place was a waist of my money, time, and energy! Potentially could've damaged my eyes! Never again. read more

Definitely worth the price. Meghan did my makeup and hair. During our test run, we were rushed, which I didn't love, but we had ample time on wedding day, which was more important to me. She made some adjustments based on my feedback and everything was perfect for wedding day! I did have an allergic reaction to either the face cleaner wipes or the lip stain, I had an allergic reaction after my trial and my wedding day, but I have super sensitive skin, so this isn't the fault of the studio, just a warning for others with sensitive skin. read more

Elana was also there to help with makeup. All three girls are so sweet, fun to be around, and most importantly, they are incredibly talented! For the wedding day, they took care of my 5 bridesmaids, my mom, and myself. They came out to Alhambra hall and while perfecting everyone's look, had us done just in time! They were patient, extremely professional, and were very quick on their feet when it came to what would look best for each girl or matching the photo they brought with them to make the look they wanted come to life. My sister and I got a spray tan for her wedding and the results were pretty bad. We were assured after we showered it would look beautiful but even after several showers our hands and feet were very splotchy. The color was very dark and orange all over. Our experience in the salon was great and the girl who did the spray tan was very nice but would not recommend because of the outcome of the tan. read more

My hair is unfixable. I came in a Goddess looking for a trim and came out a raccoon. I'm very disappointed. At the beginning of the appointment, I told them I just wanted a trim: 2 inches at the most. I even pointed out where to cut! But she kept saying "you sure? Nothing more?". I politely declined: only to realize she chopped half my hair off and styled to her liking. She cut off 4 1/2 inches of my hair. I would not recommend this salon. Look elsewhere if you are looking for a hairdresser that listens to what you want. read more

Newest addiction!!! It is the most relaxing hour oft life - then I come out with beautiful lashes!!! I wanted to try lashes but found many other studios were almost $300 for the full set and $65 and up for a fill! Not here! Full set was only $50 and for me lasted almost 4 weeks. When they came off I could not believe how bad and tired my eyes looked without them! These things are a must have and kacie is amazing at what she does!!!! Extremely disappointed with level of customer service. I made an appointment for a cut and color for my mom who is 88. When my mom showed up for her appointment Kara said she had no record of the appointment even though Kara was who I spoke to when I made the appointment, which was made just the day before!! She turned my 88 year old mother away, didn't try to make it right or squeeze her in to her schedule. My mom had a special event for a Veterans day ceremony the next day and wanted to look nice to honor my dad a Korean War vet as well as all of the other Vets that were being honored. Very mean move on Karas part. This made my mom very sad and broke my heart. I don't know how she could have turned her away under these circumstances especially since it was her own (Kara's) screw up!!! Horrible. I used Lashes and Lace for on-site bridal services, lash extensions, spray tan, and hair and make up services before my rehearsal dinner. From the beginning Kacie was very responsive and professional. She actually did my original hair trial, but my wedding was postponed because of Hurricane Matthew and she was not available for our new date. I loved the style Kacie had done at the trial but decided I wanted something a bit different - I had my trial over 6 months in advance so I changed my mind as time got closer. I was nervous to have a different hair stylist. I'm pretty particular about my hair and really wanted a textured, loose look. Danna not only nailed exactly what I was looking for but also created an updo I didn't even realize was possible. She is amazing at what she does and was such a pleasure to work with both before my rehearsal dinner and before the wedding. Toni did my make up and totally nailed that as well. I wanted somewhat different looks for the wedding and rehearsal dinner and she did an incredible job recreating the pictures I showed her but altering it to better suit my complexion and features. Toni also did my spray tan and my lash extensions - which both turned out perfectly. Toni was also a pleasure to work with, always smiling! My bridesmaids loved their work so much that one of them is having Toni and Danna style her for her wedding! I didn't realize until the day of my wedding just how important it was to work with hair and make up stylists that you completely trust. They are the people you spend the morning of your wedding with, and knowing that Danna and Toni were taking care of me totally put me at ease. I can't recommend them highly enough! read more
