I went in for gray root coverup and ended up with a very wide BLACK strip down my scalp. My base color when I came in was dark brown and the gray growth only about 1/8" long. You can see by the photos how bad it looks. When I expressed my displeasure at how dark and obvious the line was, I was told I could come back the next afternoon for highlights to break it up but it would be on a fit in basis with no time for a full blowdry. Seeing my hair in the daylight after I left was shocking. It looked awful. I texted the salon saying how bad it looked and my disappointment and was basically told it was because I didn't get highlights to break it up. That is untrue. The stylist herself told me highlights shouldn't be touched up each visit--every other to avoid breakage and over-bleaching . Not a single apology, not an explanation how dark brown coverage became jet black. Basically blowing off my concerns altogether. Very unprofessional and discourteous to blame the client. I was then told they'd refund the cost of the horrible root touch up and I could cancel my highlight appointment to "fix" the issue or come in and pay for the highlights --which were needed BECAUSE of how poorly my hair was done. Do not even entertain coming here. I work with the public and we would never ever treat a paying client in this fashion. Horrible experience and not one that will be repeated and I will be letting everyone know to avoid this place. No accountability taken for a job done very poorly. I was made to sound like the results in the picture I'm adding were "normal". Edited to add: the salon's solution to me having an issue with the dye job is to "ban" me from coming back. (NOT that I'd even entertain that idea). Extremely poor business practice. Some customer relations education is definitely needed. read more

Whoops! I can't believe I haven't reviewed this place yet. I have been going here since I moved to Charleston over a year ago and I just got so lucky! Debbie is the Bomb with the waxing, she does a great job and is quick about it. Looking forward to booking a facial with her soon. Jay - is just the best stylist - no one blow dries my hair and makes it look so beautiful as he does. He always does a great job with the cut and color. Next time I go, I'll be sure to update with a photo. He was also awesome about squeezing in a Keratin treatment when I decided last minute I wanted one - that's service. OH - and the hairwash chairs - these are the most comfortable chairs I have ever laid in, I want one in my house just to nap in! read more

The got me in so last minute when I had to miss a Mount P. Stella Nova appointment due to an emergency. AUSTIN! Saved my life. I came in with self cut bangs (uneven and short) and multiple months of abandoning my highlights + one self bleached strip. My hair mistakes had caused some tears. He was like a mind reader with the cut and color. I get shy around asking for specifics with hair stylists, and often it doesn't wind up looking good. He truly transformed my hair. I will try and include photos but it simply won't do the job justice. Additionally, he was so funny and kind. When I was showing him an old picture of my hair, he gave me a compliment that has had me smiling all day (he couldn't see my face in shop because of the mask -- the picture was the first time he had seen me). MOST HORRIFYING EXPERIENCE OF MY LIFE.... If you read my review of Largo Salon, you know the incredible damage my hair suffered there due to the stylist burning it off. It took almost a year to get my hair back to a decent state after that...... then I made the mistake of going to Stella Nova. What happened at Largo was child's play in comparison . I went in with long, thick hair for blonde-ish highlights and left with SEVERELY broken and damaged hair. The ends can only be described as "shredded"--- they look like someone chewed them off. I had to cut 4" off my hair to even begin making it look somewhat healthy again and it's still in horrible shape. This is going to take YEARS to be back to my original state when I walked through the door. The ends of my hair are thin, wispy and damaged. Where my hair was highlighted had been overbleached and broke off in random jagged lengths. This has been extremely depressing and I think at some point, stylists need to be held responsible for the damage they do to client's hair. When I went to another salon to get it "fixed" and get my gray roots colored, they wouldn't even put any color on my hair because it is so damaged. To have gone from thick, long hair that was basically healthy to a shredded, SHORT, broken mess on my head has been horrifying and depressing. The damage is indescribable. If you want to keep your hair attached to your head and undamaged, learn from my tragic experience and don't go anywhere near this salon. And most especially Sarah Vroon---worst stylist ever. UPDATE: I met with one of their expert stylists who agreed my hair had been badly over processed which caused the breakage. I was given some free shampoo and conditioner and that's supposed to make everything ok. There is literally NO good reason to come to this salon. Unless you have a desire to be bald...... I wasn't even offered my money back. Laran Mattson, the regional manager, is the most ineffectual leader. This is a disgusting way to do business. read more

Wow!!! I came in to get my make up done and hair curled for a special date night and was so happy with the results! Sedona is amazing, talented and super fun! She did fantastic and she knew the date wasn't until later so she made sure to set the make up and my hair and it stayed! My hair eats curls immediately so I was so impressed. Thank you! read more

Hands down the best, she is my go to stylist and I have no idea what I would do without her. I have never felt so good about my hair. My hair has been through it all-I've had a few bad experiences with color, so I've held off getting it done for some time. I found Sarah via Instagram and fell in love with her work. My hair is really long & thick and I wanted an intense balayage. I started out dark brown and my goal was to get to ash blonde (which is not easy nor quick.)
