This is the number one thing you don't do when waxing and I could have gotten a serious infection, thank goodness the body waxing was in a different room. There were also dirty dog toys all over the floor meaning a dog is often there, I love dogs but you can't have them in a salon. Yuck yuck yuck! They also seem not to have a front cash register, although there is a desk there, the person said they do it on their phone, it felt weird because she had to hand type my card info into her phone, just odd. I hate giving bad reviews, but I felt that someone may find this helpful - so here it goes…read more I call the nail salon as soon as it opens & make an appointment to come in at 2:00PM. I get there 5 minutes early, and there is a customer ahead of me. Only one nail tech is available at the time & someone who seemed to be an assistant. I wait for 10 minutes until the assistant calls me & starts doing the pedi. Nearly 50 minutes later, the nail tech is still working on the other customer! She then picks up the phone & tells the other person on the line to come in at 3:15, while she hasn't even started on my nails. I had to be at an event at 4:00PM, which I proceed to tell her. She loudly shouts "almost done!". 5 minutes later she rushes towards me & files my nails without even asking what shape I want. I had an event at 4:00PM, so I stopped her & told her i would have to come back. I pay for pedi and tipped 20%. Make an appt at 6:00PM. I come back at 6:00PM, and guess what? Another client is sitting there. I wait until 6:50PM until i get impatient & ask how long the wait is going to be. She then hurriedly finishes everything, and we start at 7PM. She rushed through everything, and I bleed a bit. And i needed to stop her in the middle of it as she forgot to file my other hand to a round shape. I am really disappointed at this point. Nails come out fine, but the wait was ridiculous & her demeanor was unprofessional. I tip her 15% anyway because she is trying to make the ends meet, and may be she's having a bad day. Fast forward a few days, and 3 of my fingers have an infection! (Photos uploaded) I've been getting my nails done for over a decade, and this has never happened to me. Avoid this place until they have a new tech. Just terrible.

The person who was doing my nails was so rough and seemed like she didn't know what she was doing. She cut my skin so many times and my cuticles started to bleed. SHE NEVER EVEN APOLOGIZED. After I told her to stop Becs my fingers were hurting so bad from all the cuts she gave me, I told her I just wanted her to take it off. She then called over the owner I assum and she asked me if I ever got my nails done before and I said yes but I haven't gotten it done for around 8 months since I've moved to Connecticut and I've NEVER had my hands hurt like this to the point where I'm SHAKING. She goes on to say I'm just very tender handed and that they've been doing this for over 10 years and they also stated that they've cut their clients before some people can handle it and some people can't. (NOTE IF YOU WORK FOR OVER 10 YEARS DOING NAILS AND YOU STILL CUT YOUR CLIENTS, YOU SHOULDNT BE DOING NAILS PERIOD!) I asked if I can come back next time with someone I previously wanted to go to becs I liked her work but then THAT GIRL states she works just the same and she might cut me too so at that point I wanted to just get out. They kept saying things under their breath about me in Spanish as well and I told the girl just leave it I'll fix it myself and walked out. As I walked out they made a smart ass remark and said have a good weekend knowing damn well I was crying becs of how mean they were. Bunch of bullies who treated me like I've never done my nails before. I've worked at a nail salon for a year and THIS HAS NEVER HAPPENED TO A CLIENT BEFORE.
