This use to be are go to pizza restaurant for many years, we have tried to loyal but we no longer can. They use to have meatball sandwiches and quit making them because they said it took too long to make them and they were good. Now you try to order a sandwich off their menu and they tell y they don't make them past lunch time and then you try to order a calzone and they say they make them even though they are still on the menu and to be honest the last 2 orders were not even the quality we have come use to. So once the new Domino pizza place is open at about half the price I never be back and I intend to let everybody in my small town know. read more

Very popular local pizza joint they do a very busy carry out business so it took a while for us to finally get our pizza. We got a half-and-half, and it was certainly nothing to complain about although it wasn't anything special in comparison to the high level of pizza making these days, But certainly very serviceable and reasonable prices as well. The service was good. People were friendly there and they had a decent selection of beers as well. The interior itself was fairly basic, but not too cramped or anything. Tried this place out for the 1st time. Decent. Had a sandwich and soup. All tasty. Place is a bit dirty IMO but then again, it's a tiny town of 3K. Nobody wearing hair nets or gloves. We went for a quick day trip and stumbled on this little gem. The locals seem to like it too. It is home cooked pizza, pasta, and other entrees with a fresh salad bar and drink options. My son ordered the pizza and liked it. He was happy that he got to choose up to four toppings for only $8.50. The pizza was a good size and he couldn't the whole thing. My daughter had the spaghetti sans meatballs (she is a picky vegetarian). She liked her dish, but the sauce looked like it was made fresh, but she didn't like that she could see the onion. She picked around it, but didn't complain and liked the spaghetti and garlic bread. I had the buffalo chicken sandwich and salad. The salad was fresh and I enjoyed the lighter option with no up-charge from the fries. I was surprised the sandwich came with toasted white bread instead of a bun, but I actually loved it! The Buffalo sauce was mixed with the blue cheese for great flavor on the grilled chicken breast. It was messy and delicious! I would order this again. My partner went with the soup-of-the-day and loved it. The biscuits on top were a nice touch along with the garlic bread. We all left full and satisfied, and I enjoyed the small town feel of the place. I would recommend this place if you are in Salmon and need a quick bite. read more

My kids and I were ready for a good pizza on our way from Montana to Boise, ID and I had my girl Yelp "best restaurants in Salmon". This one came up as a mere 3.9 stars so I requested she read the worst reviews first. They were all from a disgruntled employee, or other patrons who gave a low star rating for "poor service" during holidays or busy rushes. As a past server, we decided we'd give it a whirl. The sweet Tina was our server on the back tent-covered, pea gravel patio with the best seating for our dog. Food came fast and hot, Tina wasn't annoyingly at our table after her first timely "how's it all tasting, folks?" and the other outdoor tables are far en9ugh from one another, others' conversations didn't disturb us at all. WARNING! The smallest menu-advertized pizza is 8 huge slices. Ask for a personal. The crust is crunchy on the outside, chewy on the inside, perfectly fire grilled. My son's steak sandwich was delicious (he said 'bussin) he got it minus sprouts, add mayo, horseradish sauce on the side. My daughter, who has loathed clam chowder for all of her 14 years, LOVED my soup and finished it for me while I was writing this review. Do yourself a favor. Come to this lovely restaurant, ask for Tina, sit outside, and enjoy the view of the mountains and people watching the locals over a hand made pizza and local IPA. read more

The marinara was thick but not pasty with lots of flavor and spice. The pizza, which I tried, was good and just the way my wife likes it. I ordered the Wrangler and GF ordered personal size. This was one of the best pies I have had in a long time! Generous with toppings, dough was light and flavorful, not soggy at all. I didn't expect a lot out of this random restaurant in Salmon: I was very wrong. Best bean soup I've ever had. We were forced to order 2 bowls to go because of the quality. We immediately made that decision. So that covers the appetizers, our entrees were amazing as well. The pasta is perfect, great noodles and terrific flavor. Also one of the best pizzas I've ever eaten. The dough is done in such a way it's incredibly light. Really goes a long way and it's irregular in a great way. The atmosphere is quiet but fun, and Chloe took great care of us. Apparently there was a wait issue, they were full when we arrived, they said they were short staffed, we only waited 15 minutes for food which is standard so whatever issues they may have had seem resolved to me. Best pizza in Salmon. They have excellent salads, sandwiches and pasta too. My favorite is gluten free cauliflower crust Mediterranean pizza! To die for. Also has a bar attached so drinks are available. Before COVID they had the best salad bar in town but not sure if it will come back. The place is pretty small so call ahead if you can. read more

Heard a lot about this place and was especially excited to try it, but it seems Salmon, ID and especially Last Chance Pizza are woefully understaffed for the 4th of July weekend/Salmon River Days. I went in a little after 5pm on Saturday, July 3 and was told they couldn't serve me as they stopped taking orders at 5pm due to staff shortage. Not even that it would be an hour or even two to get a pizza. Just that they couldn't serve me. OK. But walking out I spoke with a local who had just left and said they called in an extra helper especially for their party. And as that party left, there was literally nobody left in the restaurant. Not sure why they couldn't get that extra person to help out the rest of the night. Guess it's good to be a local, but not a tourist in Salmon restaurants. I'm from Boise, so I understand being overrun by out-of-state tourists. But I also have a restaurant background, and I understand what it takes to run a business and show up for your customers. Really came up here excited to experience Salmon's food scene, but I've been to every restaurant here this trip and encountered short-staffing, grumpy attitudes and poor service everywhere I've been. Either Salmon is not enthusiastic about or wholly incapable of accommodating about out-of-towners (at least this weekend) But if the service industry isn't ready for 4th of July weekend in a summer resort town, not sure what to say. read more

We arrived for dinner after a long day fishing and were starving. It was Friday night of a holiday weekend. The staff let us know there were delays and pizza would be a long wait. They suggested pasta and salads would be the fastest option. Other restaurants were having staffing shortages so it was extra busy. We each ordered a pasta dish. It still took about a half hour to come out but our server was so nice. He kept checking on us and apologized for the delay. The pasta pancetta was delicious and just perfect, not too saucy or heavy with lots of flavor. You can also order the dish over spinach instead of pasta. Great pizza! Cold beers! Salmon has been pretty packed lately with a lot of, how should I put this, rude and impatient, self absorbed people. We have been to this pizza place a number of times and yes, we've had to wait unusually long times for our food but we make the best of it! The staff is always pleasant to be around. If people are so worried about time maybe you should stick to your own city and eat fast food :) I also like to read the bad reviews and how that all of a sudden makes people "experts" in whatever they are complaining about. They were so bad that they couldn't feed us. We walked in, waited for 2 hours and then just walked out. They just couldn't restaurant.

We were passing through town and just had the one night there, asked the worker at the hotel's front desk where to go for a good dinner and were told "Last Chance". OMG!!!! It was hands down the BEST PIZZA EVER!!! I enjoy most everything at Last Chance but there is just one employee who is just not on board with timely or even a care for service. He is short tempered, slightly rude and has zero customer service skills.
