After fighting a horrific skin callous on my beautiful 12 year old German Shepherd for over 8…read moremonths and enduring three rounds of antibiotics, I had to make the very difficult decision that her quality of life was such that her discomfort was causing her much distress. After contacting her vet, I was pushed off to a future date and the callous and non caring approach was unacceptable. I searched for other options and had come across the Quakertown location of the Bucks County SPCA. The treatment, respect and caring that was afforded to me far surpassed most of the experiences that I had encountered over the years at various Vet offices. I applaud the outstanding effort and caring that was extended to me. All of this compassion made a horrendously difficult and emotional time easier to handle as my beautiful Bella crossed over.

Prior to that we were waiting at a neighbor's house for cops to come watching the property owner illegally entering our RV and taking our stuff. As soon as cops got there he was all being a goody goody and did nothing but talk about us and lying about us the whole time. Then we left , stopped at CVS because I had an asthma attack. My honey called 911. They took me to Doylestown for a breathing treatment. I know after all we had just been through we both looked bad. We hadn't slept much and we took care of our baby girl feeding her, letting her drink out of her steel fountain. She loved it. Gave her her medications. Doylestown treated me like a fungus or something and kept refusing to let me leave without blood tests. I told them I had just had them done the week before. But they kept insisting. I told them to let me out because my honey and my kitty were waiting out in the pkg lot for me. Finally they let me out. They thru some mans cadaver suit on me and rolled me down to the lobby to wait . After I got picked up by my honeys mother and him he told me what happened. After. The ambulance took me. Cops showed up on scene, gave my disheveled looking honey who was a senior with a bad hip a field test. Then booked him for DUI. We don't drink! Neither one of us drink alcohol. Then an officer from spca showed up and took my baby stating she looked dehydrated and underweight and hair was falling out. They decided to take us to court for neglect. WE NEVER NEGLECTED OUR BABY AND I HAVE PROOF OF ALL THAT. She was my child . I kept all her bedding clean, everywhere she went I kept clean. Whenever she went in the box one time I cleaned it out. I put cocoa nut oil lightly on her skin to soothe it before that I used kitty wipes for her body and special wipes for her ears . Changed all her dishes and fountain to stainless steel and whenever she ate I cleaned them. Daddy made special tshirts for her to wear to keep her from clawing at her skin. I bought a warming pad for her bed and changed her bedding every nite. Before Daddy put her shirt on every nite he lightly brushed her because she was a long hair tuxedo. She was the runt of the litter so she was very small anyways. There's a part two.

Your bath station is filthy and disgusting! We've used it now about 6 times, and each and every…read moretime, it looks like months of caked dust and hair has not been cleaned, your wash stations are missing hooks to keep dog contained on one of the tubs, no water pressure on one, so really only one usable tub and we have 2 dogs. This place is dirty, your employees are eating at the check out. Just a sloppy dirty place. There was a dog in the back room near the wash station barking frantically the day we we were there. I will gladly drive somewhere else for a cleaner environment. Oh, and not to mention, I will never buy my dogs raw food or Open farm kibble here because it's so much more expensive than where I currently buy it. I don't see them staying open in Qtown much longer. A newer pet store boutique will come along and offer so much more. No pride in ownership is very clearly going on here

I instructed the groomer, Marilyn to make it tight around my dog's ears and to trim her tail. Along with the Deluxe which cost me over 100.00 i expected my instructions to be considered during the grooming. The hair was patchy and she didn't even touch her face or ears. I brought her back to fix it and once I got her home she had strands hanging on her belly her legs were patchy. Very appointing. So much so that I had to leave a Yelp.

I can tell you despite the bad reviews they are all good with the dogs. I also found out they are inspected regularly and wouldn't be in business if the negative reviews were true. They brought her in right away to make sure she was getting enough oxygen and was stable, brought her back out where we waited a short time and was called into an exam room. I gave the doctor a quick explanation of what I observed and they did a few tests. She was diagnosed with Lyme's disease and is in treatment. I have seen two Vets during her treatment, and they have both been wonderful. The staff has been caring and gentle with my dog, no complaints at all. Very happy with the service.

This time after reviewing what Jake's regular meds were, the emergency department failed to recognize a severe drug interaction which occurred when they administered methadone with his regular medication, trazadone. As a pharmacist, im full aware or the potential severe drug interaction that occur between the two drugs. The combination can bring on severe arethmias. In my practice of pharmacy, No Drs willingly continue with this dangerous combination. Sadly ,Jake passed away the following day. We chatted with the hesd vetenary dr. THe head vetenary person at the office denied any wrong doing, but the drs worimg at the same facilities confirmed a problem with the dangerous combination. To be honest, a simple we messed up would have given me satisfaction. But to hear the arrogant denial of wrong doing the arrogant head Vet gave us enough for us to conclude we csnt use this practice going forward. I had a terrible experience with Opportunity Barks. The City School program keeps the dogs crated…read morefor 6 of the 7 hours they are there. The 1 hour of training includes potty breaks. When I picked up my 8 month old puppy she was so desperate to pee and poo, she went on the sidewalk in front of their building. She was so thirsty she was panting and needed water immediately. I sent food but she did not eat there. To compound the problem, Communication is awful. They don't let you into the space. You stand on the sidewalk - they crack open the door and pull her in or give you the leash to take her out. You get 1 email a week with some photos and videos. They don't appear to read the form you fill out and don't discuss goals. I told them that my puppy has had training since birth, but their first video was showing me how to hold a leash. The second video was of a different dog being trained - they said my dog was tethered watching. Throughout the entire video I could hear her crying. No one attempted to soothe her at all. I provided constructive input verbally and in writing by email. Despite my bad experience at the City School, I was still interested in the Farm School. I went to the open house and they were much more transparent about what a typical day looks like there. But before the evaluation day (which is separate from the City School evaluation), they called me to say that they were cancelling the evaluation because I am not a good fit for their program. They said it had nothing to do with my dog, who is a very sweet Labrador, it is because I am not "aligned" with them. They were not willing to even listen to why I thought the Farm School would be a better fit than the City School, saying that the decision had been made "by senior management" and it is not worth wasting time talking about it. Wow!
