This manager needs training on how to deal with HUMAN BEINGS, especially the elderly w/ disability of any kind. My mom went into store on Friday 6/28/24 w/ her emotional support dog (yorkie/poodle, 4lbs, very tiny) and after my mom spent quite a bit of time in store collecting the items she was going to purchase, manager had followed her around the last 10min before kicking my mom out. My mother was told that only service dogs were allowed to be in store w/ owner and emotional support dog was not sufficient enough. After my mother shared that her dog was an emotional support dog, she persisted in asking my mom about her disability (if any and what kind). This seems like a huge violation to be asking what disability y mother has whether service or emotional support dog. You should never ask a persons diagnosis in either case, hence why papers/forms are completed properly and tags are provided to such animals and owners. My mother just froze after panicking out of fear she'd get in trouble (being Hispanic and speaks clear English), she left her things and walked out. As soon as she got in her car she brokedown crying and felt humiliated by the demeanor and conduct in which manager had approached her. I just found out about it right now! Being part of my job to advocate for people throughout many years in a nonprofit myself in the social service field, I felt it only right that I advocate for my mother as well and let others know about this particular Salvation Army right in Quakertown 309 and Pumping Station Rd. Suggestions: -have clear policies on your store website defining what dogs/pets are allowed into store and why that particular one. -train your staff especially managers on how to be more sensitive towards the population they serve and cultural awareness and beyond. If you aren't a people person and it's just another job, perhaps you're in the wrong place. Don't violate people's rights in asking them their personal health issues that are not your concern. You represent a nonprofit therefore are a reflection of their leaders, staff, mission, vision and it's not just local or state, it's nationally. I am appalled, baffled, embarrassed for my mom and anyone that goes into that store that are of a vulnerable population no matter what community you're visiting from. You don't know peoples stories or life experiences, even journey to than disrespect them. My opinion and fact of my mother's situation made worse!

Some of the empty display tables had me wishing there was a lot more inventory in the main section of Sine's...an adjoining room was more of a museum with a wonderful,  interesting display of local history ~ pennants, newspaper articles, photographs, artifacts.  It was disappointing to see the Christmas section of the shop dark and from appearances, closed on the day we visited.  As long as you keep in mind that this is more of a 'look at and appreciate' sort of visit and less of a shopping experience, you will not be disappointed.

Sine's sadly wasn't my hometown five and dime as the owner of my hometown store passed away and the store folded shortly afterwards. Finding anything similar nearby was hard to find and bigger iniatives like dollar trees didn't feel the same. As much as visiting Sine's excited me, it also feels so strange and impractical now traveling to a five and dime now. As it's on the way to my New Hope adventures, best I can do is make a day trip out of it. It's a nice stop on the way. But it's still a five and dime. Please don't make a special trip, though I get it... that trip can feel like a novelty. Here, you can still find GI Joe's and Barbie to model airplanes and halycon Christmas lights and you don't have to feel pressured by cashless transactions. You can introduce your child to a more halcyon time in your childhood by finding toys then even household items and greeting cards so it can still be a one stop. And just like at Woolworth's, an active lunch counter is still here... at least until two or three. With how expensive it is to run a business, especially in Upper Bucks County, I am still impressed how these beautiful small ones still stay in the game without adjusting price increases turning away their target consumer. If any of this makes your eyes twinkle and your heart smile, go while you can. Patronize small along main street where Sine's still literally sits on main street in Quakertown.

Several engagement rings, wedding rings and other jewelry from pandora to custom pieces have been acquired. Recently I inherited a large diamond ring that has been in my family for over 85 years but the setting was old and too large for my hand. Julia spent time with me and designed a setting on the computer that suited me perfectly. She listened to my concerns and wants and created a ring that is gorgeous! Everything I asked for was accomplished and I am extremely pleased with the results. They even added "wings" inside the ring so it can slide with ease over my knuckle and stops the diamond from turning. I'm looking forward to doing business with them again in the future.

The shop was cluttered and unclean, setting a questionable tone. They tried to convince me that I needed to apply an additional 54% reduction on the 14-karat gold price, even though the spot price of $71 per gram was already adjusted for purity. This was just a tactic to lower their offer even more. They also lied about the weight of my gold, claiming I had only 9.7 grams when the reality was different. In contrast, Dublin Jewelers offered me a fair and honest price of $760 for the gold and an additional $105 for the gemstones, totaling $865. This stark difference highlighted how much Guy Edward's was trying to not just shortchange me but completely rip me off and take advantage of a potentially unknowing customer. They were not only undervaluing the gold but also ignoring the actual weight and the value of the gemstones. What made the situation even more frustrating was that when I initially went in, I pretended not to know anything about the actual gold value. Once I mentioned the correct spot price, they looked surprised and tried to gaslight me one last time, but ultimately they gave up once it was clear that I knew exactly what was going on. The entire Family and Staff joined in on the dishonest tactics, collectively trying to gaslight me and push me into thinking the other shop made a miscalculation. It was a coordinated effort to rob me. Gold price is easy to see there should be no games played with the price they knew there is zero excuse for this even removing the value of stones they were trying to rob me as Dublin Jewelers offered me 760$ for gold ALONE comparing that to Guy Edward's offer of 404$ it's clear this wasn't just them offering a bad rate but them completely trying to take advantage of me and steal from me. In summary, Guy Edward's Jewelry is not trustworthy. They knew what they were doing and chose to deceive me anyway. I strongly advise anyone considering doing business there to look elsewhere and choose reputable jewelers like Dublin Jewelers. This business is NOT helping their customers get the full value for their precious metals . They thought I was someone who didn't know any better and tried to exploit me extremely disappointing to see people treat others like this. Buying gold makes money already there is no need to scam. Pure greed this is worse than a just bad offer it's a scam. (Gold on table is what they offered only $404)

L&H Bridal is truly a special place…read more The staff are all so friendly and treat you like you are their own daughter getting married. I worked with my consultant Allie who is phenomenal. I had a somewhat vague explanation of the style and inspiration and Allie whips out the most perfect dress. Of course, I tried a few others but the first one she nabbed for me to try was the winner! Allie went above and beyond to take photos so that I could include my older brother who was unable to attend. If you are looking for another style, the staff don't hestiate on going to their other locations to grab a dress for you to try on. The ballroom is large and you don't get overwhelmed since the dresses are all so well organized. The selection is massive with all colors, styles, and aesthetics accounted for. If you are in Philadelphia or the suburbs of Philadelphia, honestly this is the only bridal salon you need to visit! I absolutely loved my experience here for getting my wedding dress and wholeheartedly recommend.

Where to start... (worth the read from someone who purchased their dress at this awful place)…read more My first visit to L&H was fabulous with Tara - she helped me find my dress, and made the entire process enjoyable (she knew exactly what I wanted after asking all the right questions). However, the great experience stopped there. I also ordered my bridesmaid dresses through L&H, but when they came in, they were a completely different color. The manager assured me that they would work with the manufacturer to have them reshipped quickly, with a deadline of a month before my wedding (3 of my bridesmaids lived out of town)... that did not happen, and I had to be the one to call continuously asking where they were, until they finally came in just 3 weeks from my wedding (oh, and they still weren't the correct color, but at this point, there was nothing I could do). This is where it all went downhill. I had the WORST experience having my dress fitted. Lucy, the seamstress (who I later figured out was the OWNER), was rude every time I went in there, made my dress fit worse than it originally fit, and made awful body shaming comments to me and 3 of my bridesmaids). Needless to say, I couldn't complain to the owner... My first fitting: Lucy came in for a solid 3 minutes. I asked her to make the bra area smaller to fit my small chest, and she told me to wear cutlets... she then pinned me where I asked her to take it out around my stomach, and bring up the straps somewhat. Then left. I was in and out in 10 minutes. My second fitting: I brought my two bridesmaids thinking their dresses would be in, as it was past the date they promised.. they were not in. My dress fit WORSE than when it first came in. She had not taken anything out of the waist and took the straps in so much that I could barely fit them over my shoulders. I expressed my concern and then sent a detailed email showing how the dress fit at my first fitting, to then, so that she could fix it properly. I was now less than a month out from my wedding and very distraught, but figured I would give them another shot. My third fitting (I requested this one because they wanted me to come back just for a final fitting a week before the wedding, but I did not trust that it would actually fit). At this point, I tried on my dress and noticed where it had been taken out- it was bumpy (I had light beading), so I asked if I could talk to Lucy... in which she came in and said "what's wrong now?". To the BRIDE. I asked her if she had finished taking out my dress, or if she still had to do so, to which she responded "it is done, that is the best I could do", and I explained and showed her that it did not lay flat, that it looked bad, and you could tell it had been taken out. She said again "that is the best I could do, it will lay flatter after it is pressed", turned around, and walked out. I was appalled, but at this point did not want her touching my dress again. I was too scared to complain to anyone or ask her to fix it because I was honestly worried she would do something to mess it up further. I asked around and found another seamstress who could help if I came back in and it still looked bad. Lucy (the owner) also asked my bridesmaid "what she was going to do with what little boobs she had" when she asked to have it adjusted (again, basically telling her to wear a bra), and made my other bridesmaid cry after asking her "what she planned on doing with all her fat" and told her to wear Spanx, when she was 2 months postpartum. Lucy also tailored two of the bridesmaid dresses and made them fit worse than when they originally tried them on (there is a theme here). The shop would not refund them the money. RUN from this place. They made an experience that was supposed to be wonderful, absolutely dreadful.
