    Abby's Latchkey Preschool Graduation 2022
    Amy F.

I discovered Latchkey in 2021. My youngest son attended preschool here as a Dinosaur which means he was 4 years old and the following year would be in kindergarten. My son, Abby is now in kindergarten and is thriving and recently awarded with Student of the Month. I have 4 children and as I compare their preschools, Abby had the best experience socially and academically. My only regret is I wish all 4 of my kids had the chance to graduate from Latchkey. The daily activities, special occasions and lifetime memorabilias this school gifts not only to their students but to the family as well are simply priceless. I'm sharing my experience because sharing is caring.

We transferred the kids to FDR and was told about the Latchkey program. We did some research, got lets of referral's and have been extremely happy with the care and attention that they give our children. They are kind and attentive and offer a fun but structured environment. The kids love going there! We are lucky to have found them and look forward to this school year!

I forgot to mention the adorable pictures they take. Lifetouch makes more than one visit. Every season we do photo shoots.

Miss Janet is FANTASTIC, WONDERFUL, LOVING, INSPIRATIONAL and a LIFESAVOR!…read more Our Grandson has been attending Janet's Montessori since last September. It was a difficult transition for him since he had no formal schooling prior to this. In fact, this was his first separation being away from his parents. Miss Janet and her staff were patient, loving, nurturing and supportive. Here are a few things you should know if you're considering enrollment: 1) The children are constantly supervised in the house and schoolyard. The place is secured with an adult at all times. The backyard is set up with perfectly for the littles ones. Bright, colorful and cheery. 2) The school is sufficiently supplied with learning materials, and follows through with a structured program. They also have music, exercise classes and story time, learning songs, dance movements and educational sessions. 3) It is preferred if your child is potty-trained but if not, Miss Janet and Staff works with your child. Proof is with my Grandson!!! 4) They are taught to be responsible, listen to instructions and directions. Never saw a child out-of-line. Miss Janet is firm but does it with love and positive reinforcement. 5) If your child is a picky eater like ours, they'll learn to love the homemade meals prepared for by Miss Janet. The meals are healthy and has helped develop tastebuds. 6) Holidays and birthdays are always festive. Miss Janet even has programs set up for the Parents to enjoy including Graduation ceremonies. 7) I have come by to pick up our Grandson at lunchtime a number of times and the children are in TOTAL control. There's no yelling, screaming or disorder. 8) If there is an outbreak of illness, Miss Janet notifies the families and immediately sanitizes everything. For months, my Grandson cried in the mornings because he missed his parents, but there was Miss Janet, nurturing with her arms extended and he went right to her. She even came out of her house once morning because she heard him crying 2 houses away!! Miss Janet is an Angel and as a Grandmother, I wish somebody like her was around for my daughters at this age. She prepares them for TK & Kindergarten. How does she manage with 10-12 kids at a time?? I have no idea but she must be doing something right because whatever she does, IT WORKS!!! Our Grandson will be moving on to TK and I must say, it'll be sad to see him leave such a beautiful and intimate setting with filled with love. My wish is that another child may be as fortunate to be a student under Miss Janet's care. She's amazing and a great blessing to many children, parents AND Grandparents. If you're trying to find something more affordable, please keep in mind that old adage...."You get what you pay for"....and we got our monies worth and more from Miss Janet and her staff. They're worth every penny. Thank you to Miss Janet, for being such a special stepping stone for our Grandson! YOU and your fantastic staff made success happen for him. WE LOVE MISS JANET!!!

She focuses on areas that need improvement for each individual child and he comes home telling us all the things he's learned and is working on. She has helped him build his skills in writing, drawing, and different subjects. My son comes home singing songs he's learned and utilizing skills he learned at school in the home setting, which is so rewarding. Miss Janet celebrates all of them throughout the school year and keeps great communication with the parents. Miss Janet also provides the kids healthy meals. My son is a picky eater but she's managed to feed him nutritious and veggie filled meals that my son absolutely loves! She has wonderful additional teachers that come by to assist and teach the kids as well. Miss Janet and her staff always demonstrate so much compassion and love for her students. We have never had any issues with the staff at Milestone. All 3 of my kids along with my nephew are very vocal and have strong personalities. They will be the first the tell us if they got in trouble, if the teacher told them not to do something, etc. My kids absolutely adore the teachers there and loved attending. I have been by to pick them up or drop stuff off to my kids at various times during the day and have never witnessed anything inappropriate. The staff goes above and beyond to communicate with my husband and I whether it's an illness my kids are experiencing, a new project they completed, an upcoming holiday party, or to simply just share pictures. If my kids are out of school for an extended period of time due to illness or vacation they always reach out to check on them or even just to say they miss us. At a very young age my kids were taught how to read, write, count, and learn many other skills most kids learn during or after kindergarten. My kids' teachers at their new school always talk about how advanced and smart my older 2 kids and my nephew are. I'm grateful to the staff for the wonderful education and care they provide.

My daughter Taylor started Preschool here when she was 2 years. At first, she was very shy but the teachers are very warm and welcoming, which made Taylor feel very comfortable. By the time she graduated Taylor was very outgoing. Here she learned her ABCs, numbers, simple addition, and singing various songs. I was surprised that they even teach science. I am very pleased with the education that my daughter received here. Mrs. Lim is very accommodating. They even have option to potty train your child. Taylor was able to potty train with the help of the teachers. I like that the location is close to my home and the hours are reasonable. The tuition is also reasonable. My second daughter is now enrolled here as well.

He loves the school as much as his sister did. Upgrades: The school has been upgraded a bit since my daughter was here which is fabulous. There's new play structures, new furniture, revolving imagination role play section, tons of new books and toys. Parent Involvement: The parents are just as involved as they were back in my daughter's village days too. It truly is just like having your friends watch your kid(s). Parents prep snacks, supervisor play areas and do projects. The creativity of parents is amazing - the help to come up with new snack ideas and projects is also amazing for those that aren't as creative. For snacks, the kids have had pancakes, DIY parfait cups, cold press juices and smoothies (made during project and tasted during snack time!)and delicious banana scones. Projects have been everything from cutting fruit for snacks to self portraits New "Friends": Our son refers to his classmates as his "best friends" and looks forward to seeing them every school day. He carried around his class photo pointing and telling us the names of each of his new friends. Field Trips: The monthly field trips are a great way to get out of the classroom. We've gone to the SF Zoo, a fire station, a rodeo, a pumpkin patch, the library, aquarium and even did a grocery store scavenger hunt! It's such a treat when the parents have just as much fun as the kiddos.

The teachers are kind, patient, and always bringing in new ways to keep the children curious and engaged. They are there to wipe tears on difficult morning drop offs and are quick to send updates to soothe your heart before the day goes on. Since his first day, his classmates took him in and made him feel welcomed, and he was all in. He comes home with new phrases, ideas, and art projects almost every day. I feel like I can see branches sprouting from his head. His world is growing so much. Parent participation is really what makes this feel like a village. Everyone volunteering can empathize with toddler life and has each other's backs. They care for one another's kids as if they are all family. My husband and I don't have family in the area so to be welcomed into such community has meant a lot to us. The school helps with potty training, they take multiple field trips and most importantly- they just let the kids be kids. There are big outdoor play structures, dance parties, and share circles, a giant swing, a reading loft, musical instruments, and so many other ways to play. You don't realize exactly how much the kids are learning until they are home tired and happily singing a new song or casually dropping facts about sea creatures or dinosaurs you didn't know. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for childcare/preschool. It's truly a gem and a genuine pleasure.

My husband and I are both happy with the childcare that Young World has provided for our kids. Our daughter (4) and son (1) have been attending the school since they were infants (at 8 months and 6 months). We appreciate the fact that the kids follow a daily schedule and have a routine. We also like the curriculum that the school provides. Over the years, we have seen our daughter develop mentally and academically. Thanks to the teachers there, she has learned a lot. She's learned her shapes, alphabet, numbers, colors, writing, etc. Aside from the curriculum, the kids have a bit of fun too. They play outside in the playground and do a ton of art projects. During holidays, kids will get to celebrate (dress up for Halloween, Easter egg hunt, etc.) Pre-Covid, the school would bring in performers (magicians, lion dancers, etc.) and the kids would also put on a yearly Christmas show for family. The school also just started using an app where they send photos/updates and messages to parents so you can keep in touch with the staff and see how your child is doing. Sure, we have seen staff turnover, but there are a few teachers who have been there since our daughter started. It's great to know that these teachers are now watching our son. Both kids do come home sick occasionally, but that's just the nature of going to school. The school does do a deep cleaning at the end of the week. Now with Covid, they are even taking more precautions to make sure everyone stays healthy and safe. Overall, we have been happy with Young World.
