We have been bringing our dog to Lather & Laughs since we've had her - 5 years! Hope and her staff truly love our dog and treat her as one of the family. We have had situations where we've had emergencies in our family and had to book overnights and playtimes at a moment's notice and Hope always makes time for us. DO NOT LEAVE YOUR DOGS ALONE WITH HOPE ROECKER!!!!! I am a parent of two dogs and recently left them both for the day to get groomed and they came back a disaster. Both of my dogs were cleaned (to a degree) though one came back home to me with a limp. I don't know what goes on behind the scenes but I believe the owner of the business mistreating animals that don't behave the way she wants, and to see my dog come home in such condition leads me to believe that's what's happening. You'd better off leaving your dogs alone in your home than to waste your money by leaving your dogs here. read more

DO NOT GO HERE!!!! I have brought all of my dogs here for many years and they have always been very good to us and our dogs. This past time I brought my dog here they shaved my dog when it was absolutely unwarranted. Keep in mind I have a King Charles's Cavalier and they are not the kind of dog you shave especially their ears. When my mom went and picked up my dog she was absolutely in shock and didn't know what to say. When something was brought up to the girl at the front desk she said that my mom would have to speak to the owner. Once my mom sent me pictures of my dog I was absolutely mortified and immediately called the shop. Upon calling, the women at the front desk named Adriana told me "that's not my problem I wasn't there when your dog got picked up" (even though she was) and proceeded to tell me that I would need to speak to the owner, to which I called her personal cell 2 times leaving a voicemail and nothing back. I then called the shop back and spoke with the owner Hope, where she then proceeded to tell me multiple times that my mom said it was okay to shave the dog when we have NEVER shaved our dogs nor would my mom ever tell them too. She then proceeded to tell me I was "insulting" her when she was really the one coming at me. She had told me "it's not like I can put the hair back on your dog" which is very rude and I told her how scared and embarrassed my dog was and she told me "no she's not she's fine" while my dog was whining and crying on the couch. Not only is she embarrassed she won't let any of us touch her now and runs away from us when we try to pet her. My dog has NEVER acted like this ever before. when asked for a solution like refunding some of the money Hope told me that there is no solution and that the conversation "wasn't going anywhere" and then told me to take my business elsewhere. I paid $90 for them to shave my dog when it was NEVER asked for and they won't even refund me some of my money. This is absolutely unacceptable and as a business owner myself I would NEVER speak to my clients that way nor would I ever just do something that has never been done before without asking first. read more

please be careful of this place! our dog aspirated there and contracted pneumonia and had to be put down. called and spoke to an employee and she was kind and said the owner would definitely want to reach out and speak to me! owner never called! they also rush the dogs though like an assembly line! it was a different cut every time we went. despite having brought in a picture each and every time. they also used shampoo that my dog is allergic to again and again after reminding them about my dog being sensitive to the regular shampoo. I had a very traumatic experience at Lather & Laughs yesterday. I had always asked for the same services for my sweet pup--bathing, brushing of his fur, nail trimming, and ear cleaning. I asked the owner for the exact same thing yesterday. However, when I went to pick him up, the groomer had shaved off every inch of his beautiful long fur, and cut the fur on his face, which I had shaped so neatly, completely crooked. She also cut off his whiskers, which he needs to help him navigate his environment. Without them, he is at risk of running into things. I burst into tears when I saw him, and could not stop crying. He looks as sad as the day I adopted him from the shelter, after he had spent a month there because absolutely no one else was willing to adopt him when he looked like that. Just as it did back then, it will take about nine months to one year for him to grow all of that gorgeous, wavy, silky fur back, and by fall, he will be feeling cold. If you went to the hairdresser asking for a light trim, and walked out completely bald because she was too cruel, unskilled, and negligent to do better, and then defended herself, would you go back to her? Yeah, me neither. I cannot trust someone who had the audacity to shave my beloved boy despite clear verbal and written instructions not to do so. read more

We've used Hope for both dog sitting and dog grooming, and her company Lather and Laughs is simply the best! She truly cares about your fur babies and treats them like her own. Our dog was super excited after her grooming treatment, the staff treated her like a princess and dressed her in a hilarious "Pug Life" bandana when she was all done. I've never been to a place that has GENUINELY treated my dog like their own. I came to Lather and Laughs for my dog Cooper to get his nails done and I truly will never go anywhere else again. They cut and sanded his nails perfectly. But honestly the thing that will make me come back mostly was the way they treated Cooper. The two men who cut his nails, Kyle and Tom, were giving Cooper love the ENTIRE time. They were petting him and talking to him and they even gave him kisses on his head. I couldn't believe it. I pray these men are paid well and treated right there because they are star employees from what I saw. Cooper is a happy pup today from this visit. Our 8 month old puppy is now about 10 pounds and starting to come into her own. She is a bichon puppy named Skye. She loves to play at Lather and Laughs and she is getting a "style" to her grooming now that she is getting a little older. What a beautiful haircut she got today. We are so happy this place is available. Hope, the owner, and her staff really love the dogs and you can feel the difference. Manager/owner does not seem to run her business properly. From what I heard while there, she is very rude to her employees and does not allow them to rest for even a moment. So many good reviews from the daycare, all the dogs looked really happy, but the workers were told to do other work besides attending the dogs. What if a fight broke out? We have brought our pup here 3 times for grooming g and have been very pleased. We also send her there for day care and she LOVES it! She gets so excited when we pull up. This place is the worst. Hope is very rude. She didn't show up in time for my dogs appointment so I had to wait out front for almost a half hour for her to get there. My dog came back with an awful haircut and was not himself for the remainder of the day which made me feel like they did not take good care of my dog. Would not recommend ever taking your pet here. read more
