Summary: Ok, so, this pretty much a kiosk at Cauley Square, and for its appearance, I didn't expect much. but the sandwich was pretty good and the service is friendly. They seem to be making an effort to do things right. The Experience. Made a 4 mile bicycle ride to Cauley Square, where I met with some friends, did some rounds around to see what was new (I hadn't been there since waaaaaay before the pandemic), and after a while we started to feel hungry. The Latin Corner caught one of my companion's eye because it offers the shaved ice flavored cups (in Venezuela we called them "raspados", I don't know about here). Once there, she got her raspado, another friend got an arepa with cheese, and I got a pan con bistec. I was pleased with the pan con bistec, and the house hot sauce they gave me to use was pretty good with it. My two friends also were pleased with the arepa and the shaved ice cup. While not perfect, the Latin Corner is way better than what you would expect from a little gazebo in the middle of a few gardens.

Latin Corner is the first eating option in Cauley Square on the right hand side. It's a casual small outdoor seating area where you can eat surrounded by peacocks. I had mango juice with a pan con bistec & it was delicious. The potato stix were crispy and the lettuce & tomatoes were fresh. No complaints here - everything was delicious & quick. Their special of the day was a fried rice with shrimp & pork and this was also very tasty.

I came to Latin Corner because I was in Cauley Square. I was walking around and after spending about an hour and a half in Cauley Square was thinking about heading home when I noticed this little stand. I said hmmm I wonder if they have some Cuban Coffee, yes they did. So I bought some. Big mistake! Considering you are called Latin Corner, are in Miami-Dade County, and your signage advertises the fact you sell coffee, you better have at least decent Cuban coffee. This was possibly the worst Cuban coffee I have ever had. It tasted burnt, old, and just foul. I don't know about anything else they sell... but that was enough for me to throw away the entire colada and walk out. Drank a bottle of water the moment I got into the car to wash the taste out of my mouth.

Located inside the Cauley Square, this cute kiosk was the perfect spot for our coffee break this Sunday when we were at the Bodhi and Mind Festival. It was very hot so we decided to go here and got a Tequeno: not good at all...dry and felt old. Oreo Vanilla Shake...it was amazing, my daughter and I loved it as we enjoyed it seating in one of their tables outside. Coffee Frappe..was sensational and strong with some chocolate swirls syrup and frosted cream on top.

    Yummy food @ Cauley Square!

After two days of driving through snow storms and heavy rain and spending a night sleeping in the truck at a Cracker Barrel just outside Chattanooga, TN, we finally made it to South Florida. We had just arrived to the area and it was a bit late. We were driving through Homestead, FL. We were hungry looking for something to eat. We saw an open food stand serving Venezuelan food. My wife being Venezuelan, and my favorite food being a Cachapa, we hooked a u-turn and headed back to the food stand. I ordered the Venezuelan hamburger (Burger La Tuyera) and my wife ordered the Barrilla (mixed BBQ). This was the first time I have had a Venezuelan hamburger. It was a huge hamburger (see the pics). It had sausage, an egg, cheese (queso de mano), corn... it was awesome. My wife loved her order. She had been saying she could not wait to get down to Miami to get some delicious arepas. The selection of meats in mixed BBQ tasted great and were cooked perfectly. The arepitas tasted awesome. The food here at this food stand was definitely worth doing a u-turn for. The couple running the food stand were very friendly and welcoming. We will be returning another day to try out their cachapas!!

The owner is very friendly and always gives good suggestions. It's opened during the evening hours until night so it's always fresh to sit and eat there. I have to return and try their burgers or carne en vara!!! 100 recommended!
