I'm only coming on here because the "waitress", and older woman, was extremely rude. Went as far as to say "no, actually." when I asked if I could order an extra appetizer as she was walking by our table. So rude, I payed my beer and left. Disappointing. read more

The food was alright, it came out pretty quick BUT the service oh my it was bad. The lady that was our server looked annoyed that we were there every time she came to our table. We weren't even done eating and she wanted to take our plates away Im assuming so we could leave already. Wonderful, authentic Colombian food at La Parilla. The servers were attentive and kind. The menu is vast including various fusion dishes. We had to eat: 1. Pechuga en salsa de championes- tender grilled chicken in a creamy mushroom sauce. Delicious. For sides I had rice, maduros, and salad. 2. Pandeja paisa- delicious beef, pork, and sausage. The side dishes included rice with a fried egg, a tomatillo soup and maduros. To drink: 1. Jugo de manderina- we have to deduct a star for the juice. We were anticipating fresh juice, but it tasted like it was from concentrate. Other than that, the food was great with sizeable portions. We will definitely be returning. read more

Okay so people here aren't really friendly, but who came to make friends. Bae wanted Colombian food and the place close to home had already closed. This place popped up and wasnt to far so I thought let's do this. States it closes at 8pm on Yelp and on their door. I pulled up a little past 6:30 and they looked a little annoyed and half the place had the lights turned off. Now the half that was turned off seemed to be more of the store and shipping( yes you can ship things internationally here as well) section so that's understandable. I was given the menu and it does look tasty but we wanted to stick with a traditional plate and went with the bandeja paisa. It's the dish that can feed 2 to 3 people easily. There's juicy steak, white rice and red beans, chicharrone, fried plaintains, sausage, and an arepa. All I was missing was avocado but the plates were filled to the brim. While I waited I also order a macilla (blood sausage) and a natural pineapple juice. The juice was fabulous but I could tell there was added sugar..kinda defeats the purpose of natural if you ask me but no complaints it was good and I would order again. After paying and happy to get out of there went home to devour. So in my opinion everything was great, the quality of steak, the fried perfectly chicharrones, the tasty seasoned beans, to the plaintains and arepa. My only slight problem was the sausage. You can tell it was previously cooked and they through it back on the grill to warm it up so it caused it to be overcooked and a bit dry. Also I've definitely had better when it came to the blood sausage BUT would I come back even with the bit of unfriendly e perience and dried sausage..heck yeah. The plate was overflowing and the spices and quality outweighed the bad. Their even cheaper than the restaurant closer to my house and their plates are bigger. So next time I come, I'll again kill em with kindness and smile and take my plate to go! read more

Delicious authentic Colombian food. Great service, employees are all nice and welcoming, and best part is food is always fresh and hot! I always order for pick up and my food is ready within 15 to 20 minutes. I am basic, I always get the Bandeja Paisa. It's so filling and delicious and it contains beans, rice, fried egg, arepa, chorizo, plantains, and meat! Highly recommend! read more

Was in the mood for empanadas and found this place. I ordered 3 empanadas and 1 chorizo sausage. It was DELICIOUS! The empanadas are a good size, crispy and flavorful, especially with the aji sauce they give you. The chorizo tasted really good and came with 1 arepa and a slice of lime. AWFUL FOOD - DISORGANIZED. Our visit went something like this: We'd like to order a cholado. We're out. Ok, then salpicón. We're out of that too. We have champus (lulu, pineapple, and corn, a recipe from Cali, Colombia). Ok, then champus, sancocho de gallina, and a pargo frito with arroz mora. We're out of pargo. Only mojarra. Ok (smirking), mojarra. And we're out of arroz mora, only white rice. Ok. Now we're scrunching our eyebrows in bemusement. The menu seems completely counterproductive. They needed a chalkboard so they could erase items as they ran out of them. The chumpus came immediately, and was surprisingly good. The food: Everything was hot except the maduros, which were room temperature. The sancocho broth was tasty, but the chicken wasn't in the soup, it was on a plate next to the the soup, and was dry. The mojarra was overly salted, otherwise flavorless, and basically terrible. I took one bite, and left the rest. The tostones that came with it were rock hard, dry, and flavorless, like cardboard. The maduros were fine, but the plate had one sorry maduro, and the cook said they ran out, and she'd make more. The rice was somehow also dry and flavorless. After a few minutes the rest of the maduros arrived piping hot. We asked for the check, and several minutes later I thought, I've never left without paying, but I can't wait to leave. Don't worry, I didn't. I asked my wife why she picked this restaurant, and she said she wanted to have Colombian food, and it has 4+ stars on Yelp. She went to pay, and I got the car. When she got in, she said they didn't charge us for the champus, and only charged us for a bowl of sancocho and not the meal. So, we went back in and paid the difference. Just kidding. Every now and then Yelp steers us wrong. We won't be back, and can't recommend La Parrilla Latina. read more

Located in a strip mall is this hidden gem. It is both a restaurant and a market! My boyfriend and I popped in since we were hungry and in the area after visiting Coral Castle. We ordered empanadas and bandejas paisas. Everything was delicious! Later on we explored the market and found a huge variety of authentic Colombian products. Not a very good place to eat. A few tables in a grocery store type place. They didn't have the food that was advertised on their menu. Asked for avocado with our soup and one lady brought us a slice of avocado and said that it was the only one left. When we left, we saw a whole basket of avocados for sale. The only thing that was good were the empanadas. The bathroom was not very clean. The bill came with extra charges that the waiter didn't even know what they were. Staff left us at the table unattended for a good 15 minutes. I ordered a Bandeja Pisa to eat there and a chicken breast with white rice, beans, and fries. The food there was good, and the order was just as advertised. The food to go on the other hand was missing the rice, a scarce amount of fries, and the chicken was overly salty. Once I was done and waiting to get my check, but no one came around to deliver it and once I flagged someone down, they took another 10 minutes to take the payment. My total was about 30$ and I wouldn't have minded the price had they actually gotten the to go order correct. If you're in a rush to go, don't buy here. If you have about an hour and a half and want frustrating customer service, well here is perfect. read more

Ordered the Cuban midnight Nocha sandwich and were then told they did not have ingredients to make it. Then ordered a second sandwich and they were unable to make this too. However, the owner of the place is this Cranky and Nasty Old lady that mistreats her counter parts and makes the customer feel unwelcome. Her son needs to tell this lady to be nice polite and kind to her staff and most of all her clients. When we go to this place, we pay from our hard earned money.
