    Tomatillo soup

Wonderful, authentic Colombian food at La Parilla. The servers were attentive and kind. The menu is vast including various fusion dishes. We had to eat: 1. Pechuga en salsa de championes- tender grilled chicken in a creamy mushroom sauce. Delicious. For sides I had rice, maduros, and salad. 2. Pandeja paisa- delicious beef, pork, and sausage. The side dishes included rice with a fried egg, a tomatillo soup and maduros. To drink: 1. Jugo de manderina- we have to deduct a star for the juice. We were anticipating fresh juice, but it tasted like it was from concentrate. Other than that, the food was great with sizeable portions. We will definitely be returning.

The food and the service is amazing very understanding, especially if you don't speak Spanish very well. Everything is absolutely delicious. I always get the Pachuca àla Plancha Y tamales y yuca Mojo. Ambiance is very relaxing. I love coming here after I go horseback riding.

Natural pineapple juice while I wait

Okay so people here aren't really friendly, but who came to make friends. Bae wanted Colombian food and the place close to home had already closed. This place popped up and wasnt to far so I thought let's do this. States it closes at 8pm on Yelp and on their door. I pulled up a little past 6:30 and they looked a little annoyed and half the place had the lights turned off. Now the half that was turned off seemed to be more of the store and shipping( yes you can ship things internationally here as well) section so that's understandable. I was given the menu and it does look tasty but we wanted to stick with a traditional plate and went with the bandeja paisa. It's the dish that can feed 2 to 3 people easily. There's juicy steak, white rice and red beans, chicharrone, fried plaintains, sausage, and an arepa. All I was missing was avocado but the plates were filled to the brim. While I waited I also order a macilla (blood sausage) and a natural pineapple juice. The juice was fabulous but I could tell there was added sugar..kinda defeats the purpose of natural if you ask me but no complaints it was good and I would order again. After paying and happy to get out of there went home to devour. So in my opinion everything was great, the quality of steak, the fried perfectly chicharrones, the tasty seasoned beans, to the plaintains and arepa. My only slight problem was the sausage. You can tell it was previously cooked and they through it back on the grill to warm it up so it caused it to be overcooked and a bit dry. Also I've definitely had better when it came to the blood sausage BUT would I come back even with the bit of unfriendly e perience and dried sausage..heck yeah. The plate was overflowing and the spices and quality outweighed the bad. Their even cheaper than the restaurant closer to my house and their plates are bigger. So next time I come, I'll again kill em with kindness and smile and take my plate to go!

I love this place. Family oriented, always attentive to customers and very friendly. The food is amazing, authentic colombian cuisine. The restaurant is cozy but spacious enough that the tables are not extremely close to each other. Attached is the full menu!

I am Colombian and this is a pretty good Colombian spot. The food looked and tasted great and they gave a lot of it. The prices seemed fair and the service was good. I would return

We pulled up to loud karaoke (I thought I was in someone's personal party) and thought we might have been at the wrong spot lol. When you walk in its a bit confusing but if you keep walking past your confusion you'll walk up a short flight of steps that lead you to a pretty large seating area with 2 fairly large chandeliers and a bunch of large park benches. The vibe was definitely chill and relaxed. The disappointing part was the lack of beverages... you'll have a fairly basic selection Corona, Heineken, Bud etc. and the servers weren't as attentive as they should have been, I asked for a beer and the server basically forgot.. she was too busy talking to her coworkers at the bottom of the steps to even pay attention to us... Now the food!! While you sit on these wooden benches you get the aroma of wood burning BBQ/Grilling and watch as the bandeja paisas go past and OMG they are delicious!! The only down fall was the cold chicharrón de cerdo.. but other than that pretty yummy! As you look past the benches toward the back of the establishment they have a large play area for the kids including a bouncy house and pony rides. I would have loved to give a 5 star review but the service threw me off... And another big plus! They have live music 3 different performances within a few hrs of being there. Overall a pretty good experience and a very chilled home vibe! I definitely recommend and will be back!

There were a few people having a party which was well mannered & not too rowdy. Children running around in the open & lit up field in the back area, family and friends gathered around hanging out on the nice tables set up. Bar area was nice, bartender and waiter were very attentive! Although the craft beer selection was limited their choices were very good, they also have domestic & imported beers as any other bar would. The Sliders & Chicharrones were AMAZING! Churrsaco steak very tender and flavorful. The wait was not long, i would consider it an average wait time for the amount of people present, maybe 15/20 minutes tops? There is a pool table, corn hole & the Bimini ring game. The night we went there was a DJ but i did see a Jukebox right behind his set-up. The ambiance was great and Latin night did not disappoint. Overall it was a great experience both with service & amenities, some things here and there i would modify like the seating would be my first say as there are some people that need accommodations & maybe some more additions to the craft beers. There is always room for improvement at any establishment but If we want our local businesses to thrive we need to stop picking at such small things, i think this place is worth more than the 2 star rating.

The service is attentive, and the food is excellent -- both in flavor and presentation. It's a place we have genuinely enjoyed visiting. However, during our most recent visit, there were a few concerns that stood out. First, we noticed that the prices listed on the menu did not match the prices on the receipt. While the differences were only a few dollars, it's important for pricing to be transparent and consistent to avoid confusion. We also really enjoyed the live music -- it created a wonderful atmosphere. However, once the band went on break, videos from the same artist played for over an hour. In our opinion, the content seemed directed toward one specific culture. Given that this is South Florida, where multiculturalism is such a big part of the community, it would be great to see entertainment that reflects and embraces a broader audience. Finally, while the food remains very good, the portion sizes feel small for the current pricing. It seems that prices have increased noticeably, and the value does not feel quite as balanced as before.

We got a sampler platter that included some croquetas, plantain chips, tamal, fried pork chunks, and fried shrimp. Zero complaints about anything! So so good. My main was the Sopa de Res, which was a hearty soup. The serving size was gigantic. I actually took most of it back with me and it made two more meals. There were lots of root vegetables, slow cooked beef still on the bone, a side of rice and corn. My dad got a huge Cuban sandwich that he also ate on for days and my mom had empanadas, which I finished off for a third meal. We also went back for pie. That was ok - it was extremely rich and kind of pricy at $13 a slice. I also tried their Cortadito and took it to go. Great coffee as well. Highly, highly recommend eating here. My husband ordered a Cuban sandwich with French fries cooked to perfection in clean oil, and I had grilled chicken (pechuga à la Blanche) with beans, rice, and sweet plantain, along with cilantro sauce. The portion sizes are very generous and we each had leftovers for another whole meal. We will definitely be back! I also appreciated that the suggested tip amount started at 15%. We left more, but too many restaurants have the suggested tip amounts much too high. Do look at the menu item pricing, as some dishes were $75+. It may have been due to portion size as well as ingredients.
