I was surprised to see that they didn't have any reviews on yelp. This place is a hole in the wall but it's delicious!!! The chicken was flavorful and tacos were authentic. We will definitely be coming back !!

The bottom of the Soggy tacos that are not even toasted as the night manager claims I requested.

We came during the day on a Saturday and it was not too busy. Our server was super friendly. I ordered a make your own bowl for my husband. Happy they had chicken for him. I had a Pye roll which was very good. I'm happy I finally got to try them. They also have a great drink menu with sake and mixed drinks and mocktails. They all sound so good. I did notice they have happy hour during the week. I'd love to go then too for their specials. There is street parking and during the day is fine but it sounds like on Saturday evenings they have block parties and maybe that makes it busier.

The chairs were a little too tall for the tables, but the owner said she was working on correcting that! But they have little couches, and I love any restaurant/bar with a lounge seat! We started off with drinks. They only have sake cocktails, and we ordered the espresso martini (made with sake, not vodka) and it was actually so delicious! A little on the sweeter side. Then we did the tuna stuffed avocado which is a must! The tuna was so fresh. For our entrees we had the classic poke bowl (large serving and again the tuna was so fresh. The sauce they served with it was amazing) and the eats off grand sushi roll (larger sushi roll and was yum!). We can't wait to return and try more menu items!

Our first visit was great -- we spent around $120, and he said the sushi was some of the best he's had in a long time. He liked it so much that a couple nights later, before he left town, he wanted it again. We even waited about 45 minutes in the parking lot for them to open (they open at 4:30 on certain weekdays) because he was craving the Spicy Conch roll that badly. For our second order, we got two Spicy Conch hand rolls, a spicy tuna roll, and a Lollipop roll. We live about 20 minutes away, and because our first experience was perfect, we didn't think to check the bag before driving home. When we got home, all of the hand rolls were spicy tuna -- none were the Spicy Conch rolls my dad specifically wanted. The receipts on the bag clearly showed the correct items, so I'm not sure how it left the kitchen wrong. Since my dad was leaving town and this was the one thing he really wanted, I called the restaurant. They offered to replace the two Spicy Conch hand rolls, which I appreciated. I originally said I'd pick them up another time, but I decided to make the 20‑minute drive back so he could enjoy them before he left. When I called to place the replacement order, I also added a Deep Sea roll -- his favorite from our first visit. What disappointed me was that when I arrived, they charged me for the Deep Sea roll. I'm not someone who expects free food, but considering the mistake, the clearly printed receipts, and the fact that I had to make a 40‑minute round trip twice, covering a $14 roll would've been a simple, classy gesture. Especially since they usually read totals over the phone, and this time they didn't -- which made me think they were taking care of it. I did hear the sushi chef say "tell them I'm sorry," which I genuinely appreciated. The food itself is very good, and that's why we went back. But based on this experience, if you're ordering takeout, definitely check your bag before leaving. The quality is there, but the way the mistake was handled didn't match the level of the food.

I imagine it gets pretty packed during lunch and dinner. The art on the walls is a nice touch - really pretty. There's claw machines in the back that my daughter loved, of course, and she just HAD to play and actually ended up winning a toy lol Now to the food - the miso soup was really good, loved the mushrooms in it. My daughter had the chicken dumplings and she really enjoyed those. The sushi was fresh and delicious - nice presentation as well. I love having a solid sushi spot close to home so I can grab it whenever the craving hits - def recommend this spot!

There were inconsistencies in the cooking of the rice- some pieces were hard and the roll itself wasn't rolled evenly. The cucumber in the spicy tuna roll was bitter and that was the only item I actually did not like or eat. Rice to fish ratio was off as well. Great place if you're not a stickler like me, but if you really like basic Japanese sushi rolls maybe not the best.
