Food always top notch. I always order mixed veggies and and the shrimp, shrimp steak fried rice dishes are delicious! They are generous with the portions...there is often enough for left overs. For service they have a walk up counter/order area in center back area where you order and pay. The seating is comfortable with lots of room. This is a nice, clean, Asian, modern style restaurant with booths and tables but take out is also popular. The veggies are perfectly grilled and lightly seasoned. The shrimp is truly the best in the area-perfectly grilled...Yum. The rare steak was tender and actually "rare"!!! Also comes with their own yum yum sauce. read more

This was unbelievably the grossest food I think I've ever had. Not even edible. We spent $35 on 2 steak hibachi entrees to be put in the garbage. I don't know if the steak is fake meat or dog meat or something else but been the cheapest quality steak isn't this bad. Covering it in yum yum sauce wasn't even enough. The yum yum sauce was ok but not like you get at hibachi restaurants. Fried rice tastes nothing like fried rice and even the rice was inedible. Oddly the vegetables were the only thing that tasted good. The ginger dressing was good but the salad was very sad, a chunk of iceberg lettuce and a tomato wedge. Meh. We wanted to explore something new, so we made the trip to this strip mall location. They've done a pretty good job transforming whatever was in this store before. The black ceiling had small spots of white showing through, so the rehab didn't include that, I'm guessing. You order at a walk-up window, where an overworked woman hurriedly packs meals. She was not overly pleasant. My family was not impressed with our lunches. The litmus test is always; would you return to this place? Including me, I got 3 "no" votes. me and my boyfriend came here and ordered two meals ending up to be $38 total. his card was charged $48?! he went up to the lady and she kept talking over and over him and we couldn't even understand her because she was talking so fast, like frantically. she said she couldn't do anything and now it's the next day and we called the place, she picked up again and said she remembered us. she still was talking over us and we couldn't even get a peep out until we told her to stop after 2-3 times. this is completely unprofessional and literally stealing money. we offered a refund and she said we can't even have it yet until she gets it situated. NEVER coming here again. and their fried rice isn't even fried, it's just unseasoned white rice with little tiny egg particles. and their noodles are like plain ramen noodles. read more

Ate there last week! Headed there tonight. Wonderful as always, their chicken hibachi is the best, friend of ours got the chicken teriyaki and that was quite delicious too. It's always clean. Just opened in the far right corner of a shopping center anchored by Walmart on US 19 and Tarpon Avenue, Tarpon Springs. Very soft opening. Their sign caught my attention. I was hesitant to try. I thought this was just another mediocre fast food take out however as I was looking in the window there was a lot of seating. I noticed a suchi bar to the right freshly made and a order line. What impressed me while I glanced at their posted menu was the variety of Japanese offerings including Miso soup, noodles, hibachi offerings including beef, chicken, and shrimp. As I'm reading, first time hungry customers kept streaming in so I took the plunge. The menu is impressive. I ordered Habachi shrimp, vegetables and rice with Miso soup and a beverage. It came to $10! The alternative was to visit one of the fine local Japanese steakhouses nearby however I didn't want to invest $25 or more just for myself. As one orders, you're given a number which you attaché to a holder on your table and your order is delivered to you although they don't have servers perse. My soup came out first. It had a great dark color and rich taste with bits of tofu. My big surprise was the hearty plate I ordered. I never expected so much food. At least a dozen good sized properly cooked shrimp with lots of grilled vegetables: zucchini, mushrooms, carrots, broccoli, onions atop a generous portion of rice. Japanese soy sauce is on each table and chop sticks are available. Utensils are plastic. Authentic Japanese bubble tea and soft drinks are lined up at the order counter to help promote their appearance and make it easy to order. The restaurant is well organized in front and the Hibachi kitchen is visible in the back. I had enough food left for another meal which I brought home. I will definitely return. WARNING...THIS PLACE WAS SO HORRIBLE THAT IVE NEVER IN MY 34 YEARS OF LIFE POSTED A FOOD REVIEW...NOT ONCE. UNTIL NOW. I made the mistake of thinking this place was associated with (my favorite) Hibachi Express in LARGO. I couldn't have been more wrong...I spent $38 on a meal that was awful. I ordered the hibachi chicken...meat was bland and tough...The lady behind the cash register acted very bothered that I asked questions about the menu. When i saw her packing up my order, I realized the rice didn't look like fried rice at all and I asked her if it was fried rice, twice, because it did not look like fried rice at all, which she aggressively told me "yes, double fried rice." It was not the normal Japanese fried rice that my family is used to...it was literally white rice with the tiniest, old tasting, egg particles...no seasoning, no veg...just horrible. The yum yum sauce couldn't even fix it because it was so watered down and also bland...which sucks because that's usually one of my favorite parts about the hibachi express of LARGO. This was more like yuck yuck sauce. My husband's catsu and rice was also bland. Chicken was breaded somewhat decent, I suppose. But no flavor...just good texture. My daughter's (kid's) fried chicken meal was literally fried chicken sticks out of a bag, which, in all fairness, the mean lady showed me as I was ordering...probably because they take longer to deep fry...and she, obviously, didnt want to waste the kitchen's time. Not my fault, maybe use fresh chicken for chicken strips? My daughter still wanted them. These frozen chicken "sticks" came with a side of bland, unsalted fries...the whole thing was a mess and after a long 14 hour night shift at the hospital, I just wanted to go home and eat something yummy...instead I just wasted my hard earned money and ended up going to my next 12 hour night shift (yesterday night, same day) hungry. Doesn't look like much when you walk by because it's next to a smoke shop and Walmart but holes in the wall are my favorite hidden gems! My wife loved her Philadelphia rolls and we both real enjoyed the clear soup. The steak was flavorful and the rice was cooked perfect. There salad was so good had a delicious ginger taste. I wasn:t expecting anything, much! However I got back to my desk and dug in. All I can say, it was a wow in my mouth! This seems to be HIDDEN GEM AT us 19 AND tARPON AVE NEXT DOOR TO an eye glass place. My shrimp and rice, I really would have liked my rice cooked, However thr best shrimp bbqued! This place is so unprofessional, my order was wrong they gave me double steak and I wanted steak and chicken the woman there said when my order was placed it was ordered wrong and I said okay can you please remake my order she then goes on and says the prices are different from the steak and it would be an up charge for it I said your going to charge me for extra because my order was wrong she was very rude and wanted to make a scene about it when all I wanted was my order to be remade she then goes to grab the chicken and slides it on the counter. read more

I spotted this place while I was out shopping and decided to get some food to take home. The prices are beyond reasonable! I was able to get an entire meal at their lunch special price (EVEN THOUGH IT WAS THE WEEKEND!!!) of $7.75 which included a huge portion of rice, veggies, choice of hibachi main (I think it was a choice of shrimp, steak, chicken, or extra veggies -I picked steak) and a drink. I love that they offer a lunch special on the weekend as well as weekdays. I added on a California roll since I could see they were rolling them fresh to order. We enjoyed the lunch special at Hibachi Express yesterday. We ordered the teriyaki chicken and the porton size was generous. The special includes a spring roll and a drink at $7.75. It was so delicious that I couldn't stop eating it. We also ordered the tempura rock shrimp. You must try them! They come with the Yum Yum sauce - they certainly live up to this name. I went on 3/31/22 to eat at this restaurant. I have been to this restaurant once in the past and did not think much of it. I figure I give it a shot again. I had the Hibachi Chicken . I waited for the food which I do not mind thinking it will be nice and hot and fresh. Instead the chicken was not even lukewarm, the vegetables were somewhat warm ,the rice was the hottest out of the dish. The chicken was tough and felt like it was cooked yesterday. The price was like 11 something dollars for dinner, and I felt I was robbed due to the poor quality of the meal . I am watching how busy the orders to go and thinking people can not be that stupid to continue to support poor quality meals not worth there price they charge . I thought when its Hibachi Grill that my food would be cooked fresh on grill. Due to the coldness of the chicken I found this restaurant to be misleading and even crooked to even charge for yesterdays left over chicken ,11 bucks . Well never again will they get my money for food that's not even worth eating . I just can not understand people that keep going there? This place is not super fancy, however my boyfriend and I had a fantastic date night here! Had some steamed gyoza, and sushi (wished for a few more fun options but still good!), and finished with some chicken and seafood hibachi.
