Nice place with limited outdoor seating. We sat outside with our pup. My husband had the Asian chicken sandwich which he loved! He said it was fantastic. He had the Barley Browns Handtruck pale ale. It came with fries. Good fries. I ordered the Mediterranean Caesar salad. Our server said it was a great salad so I was excited. When it came it seemed to be just a bunch of romaine lettuce with a little tomato, very few bell pepper pieces and a light dusting of feta cheese. I don't think any salad dressing was on the salad. We had to wait a long time for our food so I wasn't going to send it back. I just asked for more feta and some salad dressing. That helped but it definitely WAS NOT the salad on the menu or described. Our server was pleasant. read more

Very disappointing. I came because of the reviews, but this is what you get when there are only 40+ reviews. The Fajita Salad was dry - I think they probably forgot the vinagrette. The chicken tasted nothing like chicken from a Fajita - at least not a good Fajita. How do you mix up all of the ingredients of a fajita, but end up with a salad that tastes neither like a fajita nor even southwestern?! The flavoring was way off, the Serrano chilies were too much, and the cheese and lettuce were from a bag. To top it off, there was hardly any onion or red pepper -: these are inexpensive, and would have made this salad a little more fajita-esque. read more

First class restaurant in a small town. The service was terrific. We ordered a burger and large salad both of which my wife and I always split. Without prompting, they did the splitting onto two plates making it easy for us. But, the bottom line is the food. The salad was wonderful, lots of veggies and crisp greens. Literally the BEST pesto chicken pasta (gluten free) I've ever tasted! I love me some pesto and have tried lots of pesto sauces over the years and the sauce they use at Latitude 45 makes you want to drink the stuff! Making the dish gluten free and adding chicken does make the dish a little on the pricy side, but you just can't be disappointed in the taste. Also, they didn't just throw some boring chicken on the side, it was perfectly cooked and seasoned so that it was amazing all on its own and when paired with the pesto noodles it was perfect. They offer a variety of gluten free options and everything is clearly labeled on the menu which is so helpful for us GFers. If you're ever through Baker City, you've got to stop here! You won't regret it! I can't wait till my next visit so I can try out more dishes! read more

I was happy with the choices on this progressive menu. I had the lobster manicotti. It was really good. My only complaint would be finishing technique and also plating. Yes you want your food to be hot, but heating cheese and cream sauce to the point where it separates is not ideal. I had a half a cup of oil pooling in my dish, not appetizing. Also, you never put salad near a hot dish. This resulted in mushy, wilted lettuce. The balsamic dressing was basically just oil. I believe that this place is setting the bar in this town, keep it up. But tighten up those techniques and you can justify your high price points a little better... Also, you shouldn't have competing noises in your dining room... I don't need to hear what the kitchen is listening to when I'm listening to something different in the dining room. I will be back. read more

Staying in a motel in Baker City while traveling through and sick of fast food, I ordered the Pepper steak and Mediterranean Chicken for pick up. It was ready precisely on time. Steak was done exactly to order, was thick, and tender. My son liked the Med Chicken. Friendly staff and reasonable prices. I save five-stars for transcendent experiences and maybe take-out can never achieve that. Still, very much recommended, and would mos def go there again when in the area. read more

I'm going to go ahead and assume that you don't live in Baker city. If you did you would know about this place. But chances are pretty good that you have either just driven 400 miles or you have spent all day hiking or skiing or riding a bicycle. Latitude 45 is the perfect place to eat. Had dinner here Thursday night. I ordered the classic burger which comes in three choices of TYPE OF BEEF. I ordered the most expensive one and was not disappointed. Nothing worse than getting a disappointing burger right? it was delicious and their sweet potato fries were nicely seasoned and plentiful. Made a last minute decision to go here. So glad we did. Service was fast and friendly. The menu had just enough variety to satisfy most. I had the chicken carbonara, it was excellent. The chicken was very tender and had so much flavor. My other half had a chicken pesto sandwich. She also said that the flavor was very good. Passing through on a 1250 mile road trip. I picked the angus philly burger. I am a burger SNOB and hate when they can't get medium rare right. Lat 45 NAILED it. Best burger I have had in many, many years. Ended up here because two different locals said the fries were the reason to go. Really l liked the fries and they were very good, but the burger was a home run My mom ordered the pasta marinara. It was very good. Not a heavy sauce. Light and fresh. She loved it. Saturday night 5;30.we are here for our wedding anniversary and have chosen Latitude 45 for our special meal. Cold and snowy outside, we park across the street. There is clearly a big party going on in the barroom side (happy birthday, Gram). As we approach the door, some local walking by mentions that we had better have a reservation... We do not, but go inside anyway. We are seated immediately and enjoy perfect steaks, salad, pasta, sourdough baguette meals. We visited right after the grand-opening las year. Very good food. Staff was excellent and seating was prompt on a very busy Friday night. Meals are of a Mediterranean flare and lots of chicken, seafood, steak dishes and salads. Prices were about average, $15-20 a plate. I've no doubt it will do well here. Our favorite place to eat in Baker. Delicious fries. Steak and burgers are great (will make them on the rare side, you have to specify if you want it medium, they don't ask). The service was very good. My wife and I stopped to celebrate our anniversary. Her NY steak was good and cooked properly. My ribeye was cooked properly but was a lesser grade of meat than I expected for $28 and quite tough with a lot of gristle. My margarita was so so. This is the third time trying his place. It's always busy. I begged my boyfriend to go. The last two time were iffy but I had a gift certificate to use. For $18.95. Yes almost 20$ for a sandwich. I had the worst Philly I've ever had. It was supposed to be New York strip steak. It was strips of the toughest steak on the planet. One bite and the whole sandwich fell apart and it literally took 5 minutes to chew a piece of meat! I had to spit it out because I didn't want to choke. The meat came out in one piece. There was no way to bite a piece off. The "melted" cheese was cold and hard and fell off immediately so I dont know how long it was sitting in the counter. I know it wasn't just me as the couple next to us were complaining about how tough it was as was my boyfriend and that was a $19.95 salad!! At least my dog liked it! I honestly don't understand the great reviews. Extremely expensive! I've had much better at inland and the main event for Less. Never again. For $18.95 I wasn't expecting a hazard. Great little find in Baker City Oregon! We were traveling and found this restaurant via Yelp. After looking at reviews, and knowing we wanted to eat in Baker, we settled on this spot. We were pleasantly surprised at the quality of the restaurant. Great atmosphere, delicious food, and a full bar with a good selection of beers on tap. We were greeted immediately and also seated immediately. Food was delicious, and they honored my special requests without any hesitation. The two of us ate for $38 including a beer. Next time we're driving through the area, we will definitely be back! read more
