Stopped in for a late lunch. Lots of tables filled. Nice local place. Saw some awesome onion rings at another table. We ordered them, they were crispy and not oily at all. 10/17/25 Wife had the shrimp scampi and enjoyed the mild yet favorable smells and taste of the butter-garlic sauce. Yours truly enjoyed the 10 oz prime rib. Also nicely prepared and the presentation included au jus and horseradish. The veggie of the day was broccoli, nicely steamed. Not hard but also not mushy. Server was very attentive. I do not recommend this restaurant. The food is good but the service is lacking. You get one drink with no refills offered, so you better ration it. You will wait at least an hour for your food. If you order any drink other than water, you won't get it. We finally quit giving them chances as this is consistent no matter who the server is. read more

Road trip through here with our puppies. Reviews were very good so we decided to stop in. Greeted with friendly service and dogs allowed through restaurant for outdoor seating. Our server was very attentive and brought the dogs two water bowls and asked if she could bring bacon for each. That was awesome and we said yes. I ordered their steak salad which was delicious with yummy blue cheese dressing, pickled onions, mushrooms, broccoli, cheese, fresh greens and tender steak. Large portion too. Go box taken. We also got the flat iron steak with mashed potatoes, gravy and broccoli. Yum. No leftovers! The rolls and whipped butter were added bonus. Cute ambiance and so glad we stopped here. We chose this location based on very positive Yelp reviews but our experience fell short. The good that we found: Portion size was filling. The floor under the table was not cleaned prior to seating us. Our order was reportedly lost in the computer system; we watched an adjacent table sit down, order, eat their meal, and leave while we waited for ours. We were offered only a lame excuse. Yes! All the way, yes. Random stop for a meal. Friendly waitress. Seated immediately. I asked for my burger to be tweaked a bit from the standard. I added peanut butter and bacon, instead of mayo and lettuce etc. It was AMAZING. The music playing was fantastic Our server was fantastic Food was so delicious and priced well. I loved that they let me tweak my burger, to my preference. Overall this stop was an unexpected highlight of our drive. This is definitely worth a stop. read more

You feel at home in the booths enough room to move and have an intimate talk with your companions. The wife and I stopped in for a date night dinner and WOW! It was the food highlight of our vacation! Seriously. Don't take my word for it, get your butt over there and have some amazing food, great drinks (the apple sour is amazing!) and some AMAZING service. Some places check on you ever 4 minutes and that's annoying right? Some places check on you every 30 minutes. And that's annoying to I needed something 15 mins ago. Nope not here. The waitress was like that aunt that used to babysit you, she came over every 10 minutes or so, took things you were done with and helped keep your table clean. Keep Your drinks up to level and offered condiments and whatever else you needed. It was an AWESOME experience and we 150% will be back EVERY chance we get! read more

Did not get our drinks for 35 minutes. The tall waitress with the crappy attitude ignored us, took almost 50 minutes to get our food that was a cold and nasty burned everything, covered in grease. This place has went down hill, old owners had a nice place with good food. Wished it was the old A & W again. It was always good. I will not be back to try ever again, at least as long as the rude waitress with glasses works there. read more

Ordered a steak salad (diet plan and it came out perfect with grilled onion and mushrooms, medium rare steak, lettuce, and crumbled blue cheese. In fact it was so good no dressing was needed. This was a great little cafe. Very reasonable prices. Hot good coffee. Always a plus for me Last time I stopped at a cafe the coffee was lukewarm even after I suggested that I would like a hotter cup. my husband had a chef salad and it looked to be a good fresh salad. I had the steak salad and it was very tasty. Husband had hot chocolate with whip cream chocolate and caramel syrup... unfortunately not really hot. He should have asked for the servicer to heat it up, I'm sure she would have been happy to. I asked for whip cream on my coffee after seeing his and she brought some to me. Server was friendly and good but very busy. The restaurant itself had clean tables and chairs. Restroom was clean as well. Total bill was $32 for two large salads, coffee and chocolate. I stopped by Eagle Cap Grill for dinner on a Monday night and the place was packed! I quickly discovered this was for good reason. They have the best burger and tater tots I have ever eaten. The staff is incredibly nice and welcoming. And the environment is that of a hometown diner, many of the local families were gathered for dinner, with a few single table stragglers like myself also enjoying a delicious meal. This is our experience with the service we received. We came in. Ordered two salads to go. Paid. We offered seat to sit down and wait. We offered ice water. We were both looking at our phone. 30 minutes later. No salad. Other tables were receiving their foods. We went to the kitchen. The lady who took our order asked "Are you waiting for your order?" What kind of question was that?! Then she found out they didn't have our ticket although we paid 30 minutes ago. She made a new ticket for us. Ten minutes later, we finally received our salads. Then she forgot the salad dressing. When you don't see your order, check in with them and make sure they have your ticket.
