I got to met Tabitha and her daughter today at St. Roch Market! They were both really lovely people!  Tabitha is the owner of this business, and she is SO helpful and knowledgeable about all of her plants!  She gave me some great tips on how to care for them. She always gives people her business card to make it easier to contact her if you go home and find yourself with more questions! The business was transported to the market via bus.  This was a cute silver bus with the inside renovated to become a little showroom for plants! Absolutely adorable. There were numerous types of plants there of all different sizes, but I got a mint and pothos plant (complimentary with my Yelp Elite Perk).  I also purchased a bigger bromeliad plant as well with a beautiful orange bloom.  They all look super well-taken care of and healthy!  Cross my fingers, I'm hoping they stay that way once I get them home! I didn't see all of the prices on the plants, but from what I saw, they were reasonably priced.  A lot of them were under $10. I'd spend that much buying plants from a big box store, but getting it from Tabitha, the plants are probably in better shape for the same price. Plus, it's always nice to go local! read more

I met Tabitha at her pop up outside of St. Roch Market. I was there to pick up my bag for a Yelp Elite event, but I couldn't help myself once I started looking at what she had available. She had a nice selection available outside on the table, but then she surprised us when she took us onto the bus and we saw that she had even more plants available. She's very knowledgeable about her plants and she will help you find something that fits your skill level and your environment (I don't have a lot of natural light in my apartment or office). I ended up leaving with not only my elite event goodies, but also two peperomias. Excited to see the future of Root Life Plant Nursery and I will definitely be returning for more plants and reaching out to Tabitha with my plant questions. read more

I found Root Life through an online marketplace. Though I have yet to step foot in the shop, I was easily able to place requests through a prompt exhange of messages with Tabitha. If she had what I wanted and if my order met a small minimum, my plant babies were personally delivered by Tabitha on her delivery days. If she doesn't have what I want, she'll alert me when she does. Beyond the health and quality of her curated plants, she has always been available to answer questions and give me care tips. Caught this unique mobile business on a Louisiana Gardener's page. The post announced them doing a pop up in Hammond, LA. My BFF, whom I hadn't seen since before the pandemic began lived in town. The owner responded in the comments to my enthusiasm for the meet up and was genuinely excited to give us this opportunity We arrived where this urban gem was parked and set off to meet the owner and her kids that are a part of this mobile, pandemic-safe, outdoor, well-ventilated mini "happening" business. Amazing skill has gone into every inch of the presentation of this converted shuttle bus, just as every plant is lovingly and beautifully-tended plant which you could purchase. As a gardener, I was floored by the diversity and rarity of some of the plants. You'll never see some of these outside a catalog or Pinterest. Incredibly knowledgeable and generous with her time, the whole family is involved with this progressive and innovative business that gives back in both spirit, beauty and a free plant.
