One on one instruction for the little one

Tried a LivingSocial deal for a one hour horseback riding introductory lesson for the little one. Pretty good as Katy made sure there were instructors to provide one-on-one lessons for all the kids. These volunteer instructors were very patient as they taught the kids how to pace, steer and instruct their horses. Regular lessons run about $70/hour. Currently, the rescue is taking care of 19 horses and plan to add more once they are able to find homes for those currently being stabled. The rescue is funded solely by fundraising activities, so make sure you check out their website at http://laughingponyrescue.com/ for fundraising and volunteer opportunities!

GREAT place to volunteer or take lessons. The owner Celia is fantastic and will teach you everything you need to know.

This place is saving my life. When I was going through chemo I got very depressed and a friend suggested I volunteer, I found the laughing pony rescue and my depression is a thing of the past. The owner Celia is amazing and will teach you so much. The lessons are reasonable and the horses are very sweet. The horses and I might come to the rescue broken but we leave healed. The owner and all the volunteers are so dedicated to these beautiful horses. This is an amazing place to be a part of.

I sold my horse, hung up my spurs, and didn't want to ride anymore. Somehow I found my way to Mark when I decided to give it another try and he is just amazing. By the third ride, I was feeling happy and comfortable and reminded of my passion for horses. Mark is so calm, reassuring, wise, and experienced. He immediately identified some basic problems that were holding me back as a rider and gave me usable guidance to correct them. I can feel the difference already and I'm having fun again. The horses are all extremely well trained and taken care of, and all of the barn folks are friendly and welcoming. Footing is good, stalls are bright and cheery, and the horses are happy. What more can I say? Five stars and thank you!

She had developed a lot of bad habits with her instructors in Texas and he worked hard with her to undo those habits, really helping her improve. He really pushed her, sometimes spending entire lessons on foundational drills that helped her with her form. Each class was a master class in riding. Nobody here even comes close to his talent. He also runs a 1st-class barn. The horses are well cared for and the facilities are always clean. He really cares about the health of the horses and has the highest standards. The lesson horses far exceed any we've seen at the other barns where my daughter has ridden over the years. And because of this, he has attracted a community of passionate riders that is welcoming. We wish we could take him back with us to Austin!

They know nothing about feeding time for 2-year-olds. I know a 3-year old can't even hold a Stratocaster let alone move the whammy bar unless they are already standing in the Ace Frehley position. They should know that a Fender Mustang is the best-suited guitar for any child 4 or under, the radius is a loving 9.5 and if you put 9s on one, it plays like buttah. And an acoustic guitar is too big for a 4-year-old, mine couldn't even get her hand around the long cross bow handle thing with the plinky wires on it. Go to another school if you actually expect your child to be well-fed and have clean hands when you pick them up.
