We get funded through San Diego Regional Center and she was really great in accommodating our request and even offered an additional week of Spring Break camp because our school district had a different timeline than the other coastal schools. Coach Brooks and Coach Zora introduced our kid to lots of fun activities such as building forts, tide pooling, building and flying kites, hiking the slot at Annie's Canyon, and even encountering rattlesnakes. This was such a great outdoor activity for our kid in a safe and supportive environment. Being an only child, his exposure to interacting with multi-aged kids has been a tremendous experience. Thank you, Coastal Kiddos, for helping us build one of our child's best core memories!

We visited Olivenhain Farms for the first time for their Monday morning animal play session with my…read morealmost 3-year-old and had such a fun morning! It's a cute, small farm right across from the San Diego Botanic Garden with easy parking right out front. They have miniature ponies, goats, a pig, rabbits, chickens and quail. The experience was very hands-on the kids fed the animals lettuce and Cheerios, brushed the ponies, went inside the rabbit enclosures, and got to interact with the pig and chickens outside their pens. They also had painting activities, a super cute mud kitchen with bubbles and utensils, and ended with fresh fruit in the shade and story time. Just wholesome, messy toddler fun! The instructor was great with the kids--laid-back, friendly and informative. I think the Monday morning session is especially perfect for kids under 4. We drove up from Chula Vista, so I'm not sure I'd make the drive specifically to do the same session again, but it was absolutely worth experiencing once for $40 and we had a great time! Bonus: walk across the street to the San Diego Botanic Garden afterward and make a whole day out of it!

We worked with NCSA on our sons' combined birthday party. We were looking for a "Sports Themed"…read moreparty for our sons turning 5 and 7. I found NCSA online and reached out to Paul to see what hosting a party with him and his team would look like. I didn't know where to start besides offering up if he had any ideas for kids birthday parties. The whole process of planning the party with Paul was seamless. He was extremely helpful and communicative throughout the entire planning process and was flexible with me when more and more kids were RSVPing yes to the party! He ended up securing three coaches including himself to oversee the wiffle ball, soccer and basketball stations. We had 30 kids at the party and all the kids had a blast! We received really positive feedback from the parents on how well organized and unique the party was to have the coaches there teaching the kids new skills while playing games and scrimmages. I would 100% recommend working with Paul and his team for future birthdays and will definitely sign up for the camps NCSA offers during the summer break!

I stopped by for 2 hours of open play Pickleball on a Saturday afternoon. I was visiting friends…read morethat live in the area and they booked our reservation and we were good to go. The staff in the pro shop were very friendly. Shout out to Doug for taking care of us. The shop is stocked with all the latest and greatest paddles, clothing and accessories. There were 7 pickleball courts available for open play during our visit. We played on the 4 courts in front of the pro shop. 2 courts per fenced area with no divider between the courts. Balls will roll onto your court during play, but you knew that anyway. The courts were in great shape as well as the nets. There's covered/shaded seating in this area as you wait for your next game. All the players we played with were very friendly and helpful with explaining how to paddle in for the next game. I hope they're able to open more courts in the future. Regardless, I had a good first visit and I'd play here again if I'm in the neighborhood. Enjoy...

I visited Bobby Riggs for open play and must say that this is a pretty nice facility. However, upon…read morearrival found that the parking situation is not great. There is only a small dedicated lot and street parking. It doesn't help that people camp out in the lot waiting for a spot which blocks the flow of traffic. But parking on the street wasn't too difficult. Check in for open play is in the pro shop which has an excellent variety of all things pickleball including paddles that you can demo for $10. You also need to pay then and there (I wish there was a way to sign up online). It looks like the facility is being remodeled so there were only 4 courts near the pro shop for more advanced, then 2 courts for intermediate. The courts are in very good condition with wind screens and convenient rest areas in the middle. Altogether I had a pretty good time and everyone I encountered was friendly.
