Every little detail felt considered, and it created such a warm, welcoming environment. All of the animals are clearly so loved and well cared for, which made the experience even more meaningful. You can tell this isn't just something she runs, it's something she pours her heart into. The next day, she hosted my group of friends and it was just as incredible. Multiple requests to refund the outstanding balance for these lessons (paid for but never provided) were never returned. Ignoring the problem does not make it disappear, Holly. You disappointed us, especially my daughter.

Incidents happened multiple times and none were reported. Sometimes it was paint, sometimes toys, etc. My son was scared to go to school. Every other day there used to be new staff in the classroom and none were aware of this situation and they let the other child be next to him. He was impacted emotionally & psychologically. I strongly feel teacher was unqualified, unskilled, unprofessional, lazy & uncaring. The staff was not helpful in spite of raising concerns about teacher. There were barely any activities happening in the classroom. During drop off i had witnessed teacher eating kids snacks that was supposed to be served to kids later that day. My son used to hysterically cry during drop off and during pick up he was still crying. Every staff member told me he will be fine in few. I am glad that one day after dropping him off i waited in car a little longer to go check on him and see if any of the staff members helped calm him down but they did nothing. I just went in and picked up my son and walked away. None of the staff members/ owner reached out to follow up. This truly speaks volumes about the school. Be wise and make a better choice. Somethings are too good to be true. I am happy with my decision & grateful for his new positive experience.

In addition, Cheryl Pierce laughed as she told me she carried a whip to whip my mare in the neck to get her to walk through puddles during the rain, and had smacked my mare on the neck as my mare was afraid to go through puddles. Cheryl laughed as she told me this, and told me she would continue to carry said whip, anytime Cheryl Pierce would need to handle my mare in case she needed to whip my mare on the neck, again. Would be a stellar place if Cheryl Pierce were not involved, as she becomes verbally abusive (to me, and many other past boarders,) in any situation where she is confronted about being in the wrong. Edited to add: PCEC sent back a portion of the monies they owe me for my deposit. They still have NOT paid me back the money they owe me for the colt they bought named Shivar/Sivan. Have picture and video proof of the condition of the pen the day I sold the colt to Cheryl Pierce. I also have pictures and videos of the condition of PCEC prior to moving in, and the day I vacated the premises. Nowhere in any of these pictures is damage shown to the pen the colt lives in. PCEC added wood to the stall a month before I moved out of the facility. (Which I also have pictures of.) For a horse I have not owned for 6 mos, and a pen that did not need any repairments, I should not be fined for a new watering device, lumber, and 6.5 hours of labor.

I moved my two horses to Pepper Creek on October 28th, but quickly realized the commute from work with traffic was just too much for me to handle daily. Since the contract I had signed required a 30-day written notice to vacate (in order to have the deposit refunded), I emailed and mailed my 30-day notice to Cheryl on November 5th. My friend, who had been a boarder there for a couple years, also gave her notice that day - we had both decided to find a place closer to our homes where our horses could all live together. On November 7th, I texted Cheryl and confirmed with her that she had received my notice. Less than 20 minutes later, all the boarders of Pepper Creek were informed that they will now be locking the gates at 8pm, so everyone needs to be off the property by then. This affected both my friend and I because we were the only two boarders there past 6pm every night. That same night my horses were out of water. When my friend had arrived, one of my horses was down. While my friend was filling the buckets, my other horse immediately started drinking. Later that evening, he had stopped eating hay and was also lying down. I was concerned about possible impaction colic due to dehydration, so at 7:45pm I called Cheryl. I was very surprised by how the conversation went because she told me that the horses were not out of water and that they had looked fine at the time of feeding. I was also told that I was not going to be able to stay past 8pm to make sure my down horse was alright. After some arguing, I was told that I could stay but that the gates would still be locked at 8pm and that I would need to text her what time I would need to be let out. I have never experienced a situation like this before, where I had to argue in order to be allowed to stay with my horse and assess what could have been a life-threatening situation. Moments later I encountered Cheryl at the office, where I was told that I had no reason to be in there, even though I was grabbing my friend's refrigerated Banamine. Then I was told that it did not belong in the refrigerator, despite that being where it had been located for months. I proceeded to give my horse the Banamine and left shortly after 8pm, hoping that my horse was going to be okay. The following day, November 8th, I received a 3-day eviction notice by email, stating that I had until 8pm on Sunday, November 11th to vacate the premises. My friend received the same eviction notice. It also stated that all refunds were going to be mailed. This is also the same day that several cameras were installed around the property. By Sunday, I had managed to find a place for my horses to temporarily be boarded. I moved out well before 8pm to avoid any further issues. Since then, I still have not received any refund. After my first email inquiring about when I would be receiving my $1143.33, which would be my $700 deposit and the remaining 19 days of November board, I was simply told that it had been "sent to the bookkeeper for processing." I received this response from her on November 15th. Since then, there has been no response from her after two more attempts. This has caused me great financial hardship. I haven't been able to pay bills, have no money for a vet or my deposit for the new barn, and had to move with no money for these unexpected moving expenses. Luckily, I was able to find someplace where I was allowed to pay my 3 weeks of board a week after moving in. This has also caused myself as well as my horses a lot of stress. Because my horses had to be moved again, so suddenly, to a temporary situation where they have been receiving completely different hay on a different feeding schedule, they both are now having loose stools. I have never left a barn on bad terms, and am truly shocked by what I have had to deal with this past month. I won't mention what my friend has had to deal with during all of this. I can only hope that I will be able to recover the money owed to me.

Luckily, I had extra clothes for the grandkids to change out of, otherwise we would have to play in the dry playground while hearing and seeing the kids enjoy the Splash Pad. The playground has their rules and regulation posted on the gates. The restrooms are just outside of the play area, so very convenient. There is nice green grass in some areas and some picnic tables and stationary benches. I believe on of the rules is that you cannot set up canopy's, but I did see people set up a couple. I don't know if they have someone police the area if people are abiding by the rules. It wasn't a bother to anyone but I'm sure there is a reason for having that rule. The play area is nicely padded. The play equipment is nicely spread out where you could really view your littles as they run free with your close eye on them. There are different areas with equipment that is age appropriate. For sure I would return. Plenty of parking, it is clean and the grandkids and I love it here!

There is a massive toddler playground with its own separate swing set, along with a larger playground for older kids. It is honestly a nice park, and the closed splash pad is the only reason I am giving it three stars.

I am writing to provide a detailed account to the address the negative yelp review involving Jonnie T. Listed a day ago having served as a main wrangler at San Diego Trail Co. for nearly 5 years. I want to ensure you have the full context. Regarding this incident at the beginning of the ride, I recommended that all guest wear helmets. Despite some hesitation from a few guests I emphasized that this is the safest protocol. Throughout the birthday party ride several guests, repeatedly disregarded, safety instructions, despite multiple request from myself and the second wrangler to maintain spacing and refrain from trotting the group continued for more speed. Specifically Jonnie T. Frequently pulled up on the reigns of her horse Maverick despite instructions to keep her hands low, which caused the horse to back up.Towards the end of the ride Maverick was startled by a noise in the brush, causing the rider to lose her balance and fall. I want to clarify that the horse did not buck. The fall was a result of the horse being startled, and the riders lack of stability. I immediately secured the area and managed the group while some of the riders began screaming. I asked for quiet to keep the horses calm. I confirmed all eight guests that were they were uninjured.My colleague I then ponied several horses back to the stable while Jonnie T. Hand walked Maverick . The remaining five minutes. Upon arrival I again confirmed that no one reported injuries. The group stayed to feed the horses treats and provided a tip. When a refund was requested I directed the guest to speak with the owner regarding a potential solution or a complementary ride, I would also like to clarify that I was not bitten or injured by any horse, including Maverick during this incident. As seen in the photos and videos taken at the viewpoint the horses were well behaved, and the guest appeared to be enjoying their experience. I take our safety protocols very seriously, and am concerned by the inaccurate review as I have maintained an excellent safety record during my tenure. I took my 14-year-old daughter and her friends to Poway Trail Company for a birthday trail ride last Saturday. From the outset, Ashley was amazing and on top of it, sending me emails and texts in preparation for our reservation. The day of, I last minute asked if I could ride too, and she and Ernesto made it happen! They both were great, and it was a fun trail ride. All the girls, this one included, had a blast! My husband and I went horse back riding on this trail today. We have been to other trail companies horse back riding and have to say the experience here was great. Our trail guide Ashley was very welcoming and knowledgeable regarding each and every horse and the surroundings. Shout out to Max and Jalapeno ( Horses Names) they did awesome, good job boys!!! You can feel how much she genuinely cares about every child and parent who comes through. She made everything feel so thoughtful, intentional, and special for the kids. Every little detail felt considered, and it created such a warm, welcoming environment. All of the animals are clearly so loved and well cared for, which made the experience even more meaningful. You can tell this isn't just something she runs, it's something she pours her heart into. The next day, she hosted my group of friends and it was just as incredible. We have a 6 day horseback riding adventure scheduled for next year so I was searching for a great training facility to get back in shape for this type of ride. The lead trainer Amy is professional, engaging and fun to work with while ensuring your safety and making sure the horses are protected too. Terrible Experience for Our Kids - Avoid This Camp!**…read more We had been looking forward to Horse Savvy Training Camp in Poway, CA, all summer, expecting a fun and enriching experience for a group of four girls (ages 9-11) who are all friends Unfortunately, it turned out to be a very disappointing and an upsetting experience. The camp was being ran by a teenage girl as the owner was not around. The problem was that girl let her authority go to her head and behaved like a drill-sergeant. The camp was incredibly hot which is of course not their fault however there was no shade other than a tree. There were no umbrellas or sail shades to help provide relief from the sun. The staff consisted of a teenage girl who treated the camp like a boot camp, bossing the girls around rather than encouraging them and making the camp an enjoyable experience. Our daughters were literally in tears when we picked them up after the first day. This was heart-wrenching for us as parent as these girls had been looking forward to horse camp all summer and this was going to be their favorite week. All four girls have previously attended horse camps elsewhere and had wonderful experiences, but this camp was entirely different. Instead of having fun, they felt as if they were being yelled at, bossed around, talked down to, and take orders from one counselor in particular. On the first day they were ordered to pick up papers that were not their mess and the counselor rudely yelled at these young girls, aggressively threw art supplies like scissors and glue sticks across the table. Basically an extremely bossy attitude and not a good fit for a young girls camp. We contacted the owner who was shocked and said she's never heard of such complaints. We agreed to try again the next day. The following day was a little better, but Wednesday was back to the same short fuse negative attitude just like Monday. The girls were forced to participate in a game where they would get wet. Some of the girls asked to not get wet but they were forced to play. Not everyone likes getting wet in their clothes but they were demanded to play along. Another girl with dust allergies was forced to clean a dusty area even though she asked to not have to due to her allergies Another girl was forced to pick up horse poop even though she asked not to. This was a terrible experience for all four girls from three different families. We had to pull them out of the camp after day three and requested a refund. The owner said she was only willing to pay us for the two days we hadn't used (Thrs & Fri) which she did. She refused to reimburse M-W. We will never be going back, and I strongly advise others to avoid this camp if you want your children to have a positive and enjoyable experience. The camp is upsetting and for a young girl not the positive experience one would envision. There are better choices when it comes to horse camp that's for sure.

I…read morealready wrote a great review six months ago because my daughter was enjoying her lessons with the trainer Julia (although she was really not supposed to be doing lessons and was actually the farm manager). The owner, Evonne, definitely promised a lot as mentioned in the other review by Chris (it's hidden so please go look at hers and others that are there). I was sold just like Chris and other parents in that she told us on how amazing and talented Julia was, after all she was phenomenal Grand Prix Jumper who competed in Europe and all. In Evonne's words, "she's the real deal." I was hooked and my daughter trained with Julia learning to walk and trot, how to tack up, technique of holding reins, etc. Well, that all ended abruptly when we found out Julia was fired. Julia was never truly hired for lessons, and Julia was given SO many! Julia had agreed to do lessons for us and some other kiddos who were further along now, but not for a pony lead line lesson (she's way too valuable and experienced for that). The other young gal trainers should only have been given those, and we all knew it. Sadly, I watched surprise lessons pop up here and there, no warning for Julia and double booked for all the trainers. And these poor horses! We watched so many horses turn lame because the lesson horses went out multiple times a day from Tues through Saturday (they don't have nearly enough rideable horses to have a great lesson program). We loved those horses, and will definitely miss them. But there was no way we could stay at this facility once trainer Julia was let-go. Safety is the number one concern as a parent, and as we finished out our final lessons, we knew and saw that safety concerns were not a high priority anymore and my daughter would not advance as a rider (we never saw anyone jumping or even jumping equipment like cross rails or poles for 7 months). It was a HUGE mistake to let Julia go. This place could have achieved a great riding program with her.
