Pretty rad. Guess I should give five stars but really it's on par with other locations in Colorado and elsewhere. Not many breweries in ND or Bismarck but this one does stand out. Not a huge spot. Brewing room through the wall and a small stage for artists. Art on the walls. Good amount of seating. The beer is great though, get a flight and sample a few that sound great. Get a growler of your favorite to go. Partner and I got two different flights and settled in a growler to go and were not disappointed. Hard to narrow down one growler from our three favorites though. They even put a nice heat seal on the bottle and when we opened the growler months later the beer was as fresh as it was the night we first stopped in. A+ Good spot to stop in to meet a friend or have a few drinks. More breweries should be as laid back and professional as this. Friendly staff. Nice decor. Will return!!! read more

Found this place on an app dedicated to finding dog friendly restaurants. Service was fantastic! Unfortunately the kitchen was closed except for the pretzels with beer cheese and these fantastic burnt ends which were cooked to perfection... No seriously, they were so tender they started to fall apart when I picked it up with my fork. These were so good, we ordered a second round! I came here with my family on a Wednesday evening and we had a great meal! My uncle and husband are both carnivores but my aunt and I are vegetarian and we were so pleasantly surprised with how much was on the menu that we could eat too! It was great. The guys loved their drinks and sandwiches (my husband said it was the best brisket sandwich he'd ever had and we all noticed how good the turkey they used to make my uncle's sandwich looked). My aunt got the hummus sandwich and macaroni and cheese and I got the nachos with no meat - we shared. And we liked everything! But I will say that the hummus sandwich was very basic with no effort put into making it (I liked it less than she did) - it was clearly way less quality than the guys' meat sandwiches. The mac and cheese was great! And we both loved the nachos. Really tasty. The only downside was the live music - it was good music, but so loud we couldn't even hear ourselves think much less converse and we sat way in a corner in an attempt to put some space between ourselves and the noise. We would have gone on the outdoor patio but it smelled strongly of cigarette smoke. We will be back! Mainly due to the great selection of vegetarian options and great drinks. read more

This was our first visit to their new location on Front St. We were very interested in trying the barbecue served there for dinner. The atmosphere and decor is very laid back with community tables lined up together which can be fun if you like to meet new people. The new building is housed in a old warehouse and the owners have done a nice job of converting it to a brew pub. The food and beer is what we came for so here goes: I had the rib platter with a side of fermented veggies and corn bread. My wife had the pulled pork with the same sides. Our friends both had the smoked turkey sandwiches. My ribs were a bit skimpy on the meat but the smoke was about right. The veggies consisted of mostly celery. Quite disappointing. My wife's pulled pork portion was a very generous portion of which she took about half of it home. Neither of us cared for the fermented vegetables and for the money would have preferred some choices like baked beans, green beans or sweet potato fries. The restaurant floor plan will be a challenge in the winter as there is not a foyer shielding diners from the cold air from outside. The stage is by the entrance which makes it awkward for people coming in. I would suggest moving the stage further back in the restaurant. We will come back again and hopefully some improvements will have been done. read more

GET THE SOFT PRETZEL. Seriously the best soft pretzel I've ever had, and this is coming from someone who grew up in the home of the pretzel in Pennsylvania Dutch country. It is so soft, perfectly salted, and comes with the tastiest beer cheese dipping sauce. $5 well spent. Also the beer here is all around better than the majority of breweries I frequent in Denver, CO. Particularly liked their unique espresso amber ale, where the coffee notes are there but not over-powering. Their hop rasa IPA is also excellent, and pairs well with the pretzel. For true salty + sweet indulgence, I recommend adding a slice of their rotating cheesecake ($6). Decided to try this brewery to have the cheesecake on the main picture but they actually don't have cheesecake. It is a cute place with a fun vibe. You have to wait in a long line at the counter to order food/drinks and when you need a refill you have to keep getting back in line. There is no table service. Great place to sit and have a couple of beers. We tried a Sinister Pear and a Maple Stout. Ended up leaving with a growler of the Sinister. They make their own root beer, too, and I loved it - good stuff! The employees were really friendly. It's just got a really fun, down-to-earth vibe. It was nice to just walk there from the hotel. They have no kitchen but openly welcomed us to bring in food or have something delivered. read more

I went to this little brewing company late on a Friday night. I had tried their Sinister Pear beer at Sickies Garage and enjoyed that, so I was eager to try more of this brewery's beer. When we went, I had the basic Sinister beer and that was tasty as well. It kicked me on my rear end after two, partially because this specific beer has a higher alcohol by volume %, but also because I have a low alcohol tolerance. Overall the atmosphere was great, the staff was down to earth and it made for a great low-key Friday night with friends. read more

Their new space is great! Awesome that they have Taylor Made BBQ now too. The pulled pork was off the charts. As for the beer, my husband and our friends had most of the beers on the board. The best was the Smoked Vanilla Porter... the vanilla wasn't too heavy, nor was it faint. Had mild roastyness. Came in with a group of coworkers last night. Ordered wings and ten minutes after ordering the cashier came to the table to let me know they were out of wings. I then ordered brisket nachos. I asked about my food after all of my coworkers had their food for 15 minutes. Food runner came back to the table to let me know they forgot my order. He did give me 2 drink tokens for the issue. Finally got the nachos and they were not that great honestly. We then ordered dessert- 3 orders of brownies with ice cream for the group. They delivered only 1 order of the brownies. We inquired and were told they forgot the other two as well. Overall, wouldn't come here again. read more

This is a great little brewery in downtown Bismarck, plenty of street parking and close to a couple parking garages. Smaller tap selection, probably about 8 total and also have homemade root beer and cream soda on tap. The bar seating is small but they have plenty of tables along the wall, you probably will end up sharing a table with other people but a great way to meet new people. They don't serve food here so it's a good idea to eat before coming here, fireflour pizza is next door so you can call them and order a pizza, once finished they will deliver it next door. I think my favorite beers on tap are sinister pear, it's a Belgian golden strong ale it definitely packs a punch. Second favorite is the apricot wheat, lite beer with a great flavor of apricot. They have one called Java black ale and they use cold pressed dogwood coffee from fireflour. Have not tried it yet but it's on the must have list. They also fill growlers for a reasonable price so definitely grab one and take some beer home. I like the fact I'm about two blocks away so I'll become a regular. read more

Beers are awesome, tried the sap me silly and the strawberry wheat, both are really good. However, food is not good, tried the Asian noodle bowl, korean tacos and brisket platter, all of them deserve 2 stars, noodles were not cooked through, hard center, not even aldente texture, but I asked them to reheat it, eventually they were somewhat palatable, Korean tacos, they didn't even warm the tortilla up, put some grill marks on please, flavor was ok.
