Because I did not want to be far away from my daughter's. I even called the night before to confirm that the mini suites I booked were right next to each other and was assured that they were. Upon checking, I was told that somebody that owns a restaurant was given one of my rooms and that my daughters would not be next to me. They said the hotel was booked due to the concert that everyone was there for this weekend and there was nothing they could do, but I could cancel my reservation if I wasnt happy. I drove 250 miles. I spoke to multiple employees to confirm my reservations. The manager Ashley "she would not provide her last name" was not available when I arrived, and I was told would be available at 8 am, so had my hands tied or I could cancel and return home. The next day I went down to speak to the manager, she was in a meeting. But I was informed, they would give me her email. I told them I have time to wait. She finally came out of her office with my room paperwork prepared fully perpared to be rude. She told me that reservations aren't guaranteed. I told her that is exactly what reservation means. She told me Reservations are just aguarantee for a room not that you get what you paid for. Even when a confirmed less that 12 hours before they were right next to each other. Not to get bumped because somebody more important wanted it. Completely unacceptable. Are rooms where ten rooms apart, one room had no shampoo, conditioner, coffee or trash can. I understand that laughlin is not las vegas. But again little amenities that you expect and pay for should be available. When we called the front desk, housekeeping was closed after 5 o'clock. It would be available the next morning. Zero stars for this hotel staff and management.

Only saw one person get a payout the entire weekend. The Mexican restaurant's line was insane, maybe should have been better prepared and open later for concert weekends. The coffee show employees were incredibly slow. Always a long line. Their process is so outdated. The good. : They have a Fatburger, the drinks were cheap, as in 2 slushy drinks with a quick pour of alcohol was $7 We opted for the kids pool as I didn't sleep at the night before I needed a nap. We tried the adult pool there was 1 million people in the pool on the deck alive band. Not what I was looking for so kid pull it was which worked out great. Happy that I had that option. They also serve those tall slushy drinks, which we got virgin one to take to the pool. I believe there was bowling in movies, but I didn't really see that portion of it and I think they have bingo. Oh, they do have a kids arcade so there's lots to do and it was pretty clean for the most part

Or stay this time started off with a long wait to check in, and we noticed that there were supervisors or some type of management staff in the back that never came out unless called, other casinos management staff would assist on getting all the incoming guest assigned their rooms. Now, when it comes to the rooms, we had requested a non-smoking room and they told us at time of check-in that there was none available so they gave us what they could which was unsatisfactory. My wife needs her CPAP to sleep at night and last time we stayed at a smoking room. The smell of smoke contaminated her medical device so bad that she had to exchange it for a new one with this in mind she asked again after checking in and inspecting room if there was any non-smoking rooms for this medical reason and they told her no, so she insisted on speaking with management and after speaking with management , they found a non-smoking room on a different floor that they could provide us. What a miracle. The day after we checked out, my wife checked her bank account and noticed that there was a short on the security deposit, and when she called to questioned it, they told her that the maid service had claimed that we had opened up a water bottle that was in the room and that each water bottle is five dollars My wife and I know better than to use any non-complementary item left in the room because we know that the charges are extremely high and when she told the management staff that we did not use any water bottle or any non-complementary item she was told that if the maid service puts it in their report, then they have to charge no matter what, it all lands on the maid service and what they write down on the report. I suggest to all in the future, if you're staying at this location, videotape and take notes of everything that is in the room and the condition that it's in because it may be a tactic that they used to get a little extra money for the hotel. We are truly going to videotape and photograph all these items. Next time we stay if we decide to return and if we do get charged, we will immediately forward these photos of a before and after of the room's items. On the positive side I would like to thank the employees at the rewards desk for all their help. They are extremely nice and helpful group of people unfortunately that's the only plus I could say about this hotel at this time.

More hooks in the bathroom would be useful. Housekeeping staff is very nice. The Pin-Up pizza place stops making pizza over an hour before closing. Doesn't make sense. They should at least have some pizza by the slice until closing. Or post a sign that they stop making pizza at a certain time. One more food option next to Smashburger would be good. Like a rice bowl spot or something that has healthier (gluten free) options. The Range restaurant is nice but only open for dinner. We ordered to-go since they didn't have any reservations until later at night. The arcade is fun. We had an issue with the card. We had points/tickets on the card and when we went to refill it, the points disappeared. Then after a few minutes of playing, the points reappeared, but the money I had refilled disappeared. That was a bit upsetting as you can't prove that happened. The elevators in the North tower didn't seem to be all working and at times there was a long line and wait time to get in.

We leave to dinner with my family for approximately 2 hours. We come back and our towels and our trash are on the hallway outside the door. A lipstick stain that is not mine is on the towel. Housekeeping was outstanding -- whatever we needed, they took care of it immediately. The rooms in that tower are a little dated, but there's plenty of drawer space and a great view of the river, at least in the room we had, which was on the 17th floor along the river. The rooms offer a Keurig-style coffee maker and bottled water which is free. Water pressure in shower was decent. The only downside is there's no in-room safe. The casino floor is loaded with slots, including a lot of modern machines, plus a decent-sized table games area. There are a few restaurants and a small food court. Staff throughout the casino -- including the drink waitresses -- are constantly checking if you need something, which was a nice touch. We primarily ate at the Aquarius Café because it has amazing deals and the food is decent (reminded me of old Vegas deals) Overall eating there was a huge savings compared to the other options. Valet parking is free, which is another nice touch. And like all the casinos along the river, you've got quick access to water taxis to hop over to other casinos. Of all the casinos located on the river, the Aquarius is by far the nicest. Another note if your gambling winning here was not something we accomplished, but we had a great time

Definitely one of the worst hotels I've been to. If you book a room here, the elevator situation is insane. I've never had to wait in a huge line trying to get to my room. I asked a worker if there were stairs that we could use to avoid the massive line and she straight up lied to my face. Once we got to our floor, we checked to see if there was a stair well and sure enough there was a door at the end of our floor hallway leading to the stairs. Also housekeeping just came by knocking loudly at our door at 8:45am when check out time is at 11:00am. We even had the "room occupied" sign hanging on the door handle. Very rude and not okay to disturb guests in their rooms when it's not even close to the check out time. As far as the room itself, A/C doesn't work well, pillows are very thin, and mattress/bedding isn't comfortable. It is crazy and a shame that the Tropicana is in relation to Caesar's because it is not on the same level whatsoever as the one in Vegas. Way below it actually. I'd recommend not coming here. Also to add some of the workers here seem to hate their jobs. I will be booking at another hotel next time I come here and avoiding this hotel at all costs.

The River Lodge shows it age, 42 years (I think). No ice machines on any level, no pool, dated decor, carpet & curtains. With this mind we weren't sure what to expect of our room but it was clean, even though the water in the bathroom sink drained slowly, bedding was very comfy and it was quiet throughout the night. Also, there might be 7 television channels available but we had a great river view. We stuck to eating at the different themed casinos within the Lodge. We went to Red Dragon and tried the pot stickers & pork char siu with rice; sadly no sauces were available & the staff seemed very frustrated not having the necessary supplies. By the way, they will not pour a drink in a paper cup for you in case you want to take it outside for some reason. Still it was cheap with a total of $10.80 for both dishes. We also tried a personal pepperoni pizza at Dotty's, which wasn't bad just not very hot/ warm. I believe that cost was $7.00. The last thing we tried was a pot roast dip sandwich at U1 that included fries & au jus. The flavor was good but the sandwich had no cheese at all; cost $7.00.
