The impeccably laid out fruits which taste as good, if not better, when I actually got them home! These are pristine fruits. What beckoned me here are the hard to come by Early Girl tomatoes, which are now in season--my favorite, so much better than the heralded heirlooms, though Sign's have those too. I wandered around here in a daze, a semi mesmerized hypnotic fugue and stupor, staggering around totally delighted with every single thing. Thy do seriously carry it all, e.g. cheeses, prepared foods and burritos, tamales, pizzas plus all the fresh fruits and veggies I could dream up. Did I mention their pies asnd cakes plus other baked goods? They also have tons of dried fruits. I turned there corner and there on ice was sitting smoked salmon and packaged fresh salmon. I. Mean. Did I mention their chocolate covered cherries, which are my favorite confection, not too sweet with a bit of bitterness. As we were checking out, the cashier told us that if we were there before 5:pm, we could actually taste some of the fruits we were buying! Whaaaaat? Sold. The store is beautifully laid out, so. Much more than a typical grocery shop. The prices are fair, and btw., they have organic stuff too! Can't wait to go back for my addiction: their summertime peach balsamic vinegar. I put it on my slides every single night. They house make bottles and bottles of different balsamic vinegars, e.g. I bought their cucumber sumo, honey ginger, and lychee--those for my husband who loves those flavor profiles. They also let you sample them before you buy, which is such a thoughtful touch because the worst feeling is when I buy something from a place and get it home, only to discover I hate it. Their customer service is fire. Love love love--this is what makes living here such a treat.

Read the signage, learn to appreciate the efforts of the farmers and then enjoy the flavors. The prices may appear to be higher than what you might find at your local supermarket, but you get what you pay for. The quality is usually far superior. They also have an extensive selection of cheese, balsamic vinegars, olive oils, dried fruits and nuts. Join their email club and receive a free gift every time you spend more than $30. Don't be shy if you need help or have questions either. If the first person you ask doesn't know the answer, they will find out for you.

I especially love the Roti…read morestand (generous with samples), Achadinha Cheese Company (amazing kefir and cheese curds) and the Dumpling King food truck (specifically their Shrimp Dumplings). The market also has plenty of great produce and a nice selection of flowers. Credit cards are generally accepted, the vibe is pleasant and laid back, but dogs are sadly not allowed. The only other downside is parking - I try to go as early as possible, before it gets busy. Will continue to return!

It's nice to be able to take a walk to the Caltrains parking lot for some fresh fruits and veggies. It's definitely a smaller market with less vendors. But it's super convenient if you live anywhere near the Ralston/El Camino Safeway by the Belmont station. This FM is open on Sundays year round between 9am to 1pm. I would love to see more vendors come out this way.

I really like this place a lot for it's wide variety of olive oil, friendly service, and fresh pasta and sauces. I can't tell which olive oil to buy for cooking versus a salad dressing because I'm ignorant, that's why I like coming here because it takes the guess work out of everything. Anyways, step up your olive oil game, grab some easy to cook pasta and sauce and feel like you know what you're doing in no time, even if you don't.

As a customer for…read moretwo years now to order these luscious lemons to have them shipped to me, I can attest they are the best Meyer lemons I have ever used, outside of the days when I lived in CA and could pick them off my own tree outside my patio door. Not just luscious, lovely, juicy, tart-sweet little gems of Meyer lemons are provided by owner Karen Morss, but very friendly service and efficient shipping too. Karen picks the lemons for orders on Sunday and mails them on Monday...how much fresher can you get except to pick your own? My introduction to this source was when friend sent me a gift of the Lemon Ladies lemons. How's that for a GREAT gift idea? Then I started ordering them on my own. (The orchard's name, Lemon Ladies, come from Karen naming each of her roughly 40 trees after women who inspired her.) The season runs from about November through April, I think. More specific information on that an be found at the Lemon Ladies web site posted above. If you sign up at the web site, Karen will email you when the lemons start to be available. I'm looking forward to next season already! And one last tip...for a brief time Karen was also making Meyer Lemon Marmalade. She stopped that last year, but if she decides to make the marvelous marmalade again, you'll want to try that too!

I dreamed up a dessert invention inspired by Dubai Chocolate which I want to realize. She brought out her boss who was kind and able to explain the process of cooking the Kadaifi. The snacks were past expiration date but they disclosed that in the description. The snacks were all really yummy though and they tasted fine since they were chocolate based mostly. They have a lot of international foods and ingredients here like saffron water, tahini, pierogies, etc. I don't cook a lot but can see myself picking up some ingredients here if I cooked more! While waiting for the bag I was looking around they had a lot of recent expired from beginning of Oct, and some from Sept.items on shelves . (Which is what I thought I was maybe getting) The lady build the bag from items in the back . I examined the items in my car and they are expired over 2 years and others 1year. Which is crazy to me , that app does let you know you can get recently expired items but years ??? Crazy .
