Our department books Bianchini's catering for every event! We are frequent flyers and the Bianchini's team knows the ins and out of our buildings. We have developed so much trust for Bianchini's and can always rely on them! Bianchi's catering provide their own table, linen, plates, utensils, warmers, glasses.. the list goes on! Their eye catching food spreads are always a hit! The food at our events is always beautifully displayed, even with orchids to complement! We love the MANY options on their catering menu--hot, cold, vegetarian, vegan--you name it! Some fan favorites are the salmon crostini, bacon-wrapped prawns, and lemon bars!

Very well stocked supermarket. A highlight is definitely the sand dabs at $11.99 a lb. These are seasonal and not easy to get. The ones I saw were fresh and by far the cheapest anywhere. Sand dabs are excellent broiled at high heat to make crispy and then seasoned with herbs, garlic and butter (with a splash of lemon to top things off). This is the way that Sotto Mare prepares their sand dabs and it's incredibly delicious! Their branzino also looked really fresh (you can tell by the condition of the fish eyes). It also seemed like they had some attractively priced grass fed steak. I unfortunately did not bring a cooler with me but I intend to give some of the products a try the next time I am in town.

Amazing options for cheese, provide, and seafood. Find out of the ordinary products you won't find anywhere else. Their staff service is kind, and the store is inviting!

I like browsing local grocery stores like Bianchini's. They often stock local goods like desserts which I always like browsing and will often pick some home to try out. This place is definitely not the cheapest so I don't really recommend to shop here on a regular basis. But it seems good for one off or emergency purchases. I stopped by for some produce recently. Their produce section is decent. I've picked up some potatoes, blueberries and peaches here before. This store is a bit small but seems like a good size for downtown San Carlos. I also like that there is a decently sized parking lot here as well.

This review is strictly for the deli and Starbucks…read more I go here often for lunch because I'm down the road. Usually get a sandwich, sushi or something from the deli like chicken wings or mash potato's etc. Have fun here. There could be 7 employees working the deli and only 2 are doing anything. They will see a line of like 8 people waiting to get a sandwich and they will only have 1 person helping. Meanwhile 2 or 3 other people just laughing and chatting in the back or up front at the soup station talking to the rest of the stores employees. Time when they put out food is inconsistent. You can go at 9am and they will have all their food out. Chicken, ribs, corn dogs, Mac n cheese, etc. You can also go at 11am and they will only have pizza sticks and some fried chicken? So there are times I go for lunch and there's nothing. When do they actually make the food? Because it's never been the same times or the same amount of food out ready to be sold. I go there and it's either full of every selection or just corn dogs at 1130 am. It's very irritating. Now for the Starbucks side. There's a real one across the street but it's convenient to use the one within Safeway while I'm on lunch. I go multiple times a day to this Safeway. Either to get lunch and or coffee or items I need from home. There's only ever 1 or 2 employees at Starbucks. If there's 1 person working they're working so slow while also stopping to talk to customers or the Safeway employees. Even if there's multiple people waiting. If there's 2 employees then 1 is working and the other is just pretending to fix the mug display in front of it for what seems forever. Your 1 coffee if you're the only customer and 1 person is working will probably take like 7 minutes to get to you.

I was mostly here for a quick snack. There are two entrances on each end of the building. The entrances towards the produce section was the only one open. You walk in and it goes produce on the right wall. Butcher in the back right corner. Meats along the back wall. Bakery and then deli in back left and left wall. They were restocking so lots of boxes everywhere. Everyone was hard at work and avoided eye contact. They didn't seem like they were low on any products at least in the bakery and deli section. I was able to find a few different intriguing options other than just a sandwich. The front of the store where the cashiers are does seem pretty small and very close to the start of the aisles and so if you have a cart you'll be weaving in and out and side stepping anyone walking by. Super huge parking lot. It's the only major grocery store in the area so they must serve a ton of people. It's in walking distance of the train and it's next to several different restaurants, boutiques, and shops.

While passing through San Carlos, I realized I needed tahini and some other ingredients for dinner…read more After searching the area for Middle Eastern groceries, I discovered a shop that fell in that category and specialized in Turkish products. I was impressed: the location is clean, organized, has a great selection, and has fun Turkish music playing over the speakers. I was able to find kagit helvah, which is a wafer-like treat; I've been trying to find some for years, so I was pleased! They have a nice deli and refrigerated section, with tempting meats, cheeses, and pickles. I was able to find a variety of tahini. They also have a great selection of lokum (Turkish Delight), of which I purchased several flavors. Best of all, I sat down for a delicious serving of Turkish coffee. I had mine "az sekerli" (a little sugar), which was luxurious and a treat. I look forward to returning for baklava and simit. BTW. My visit was met with a friendly welcome, which was appreciated.

I love seeing people enjoy tea/coffee & treats outside the bazaar with friends and family. And finally we gave it a try! The people who work there are all SO friendly. They were so welcoming and the man (maybe the owner?) who helped us with the treats/tea was especially kind & helpful! We sat outside an enjoyed a Turkish delight, kataifi, and chocolate baklava with tea (we paid for a small and he gave us a large since he saw we were sharing)! Everything was so yummy and we will definitely be back and tell all of our friends! Also the produce and meat are decently priced so I'll be back to get those!

I've been here a couple times in the last several months, and I've seen mostly the same breweries and labels (maybe 10% change?). But my biggest issue with Holly Market is the cost - Their prices are the highest I've ever seen in the Bay Area. Four-packs of micro-brew pint cans run about $2 more than they are anywhere else, including Whole Foods. And if you grab a 4-pack of a double or triple IPA, you'll be paying at least $4 more than other places. I asked about this the last time I was here, and the guy said, "Higher alcohol beers are more expensive," which in general is true; but not THIS much more expensive. It seems to me they are using that as an excuse to double their already-high markup. I've actually cancelled more than one purchase here when I saw the actual charge pop-up on the register. (Note: They don't post prices for most beers). I was going to give Holly Market 3 stars, but based on the unusually-high Yelp rating...and abnormal number of 5-star reviews from newbies (We know what that means!) I'll do my part to move the needle in the direction of the real world. Interestingly, the very act of writing this review has made me realize one thing: I'm done with this place.

This is a review of the in-store bakery and their "Princess" cake…read more My Aussie daughter-in-law remembered the princess cake growing up. I had no idea about what it is. To celebrate a birthday i arrived at Lunardi's hoping the bakery had a Princess cake for us. We were greeted by the friendly staff and assured they had the cake in 2 colors, pinkish and greenish. We wanted to personalize it with a birthday greeting which the quickly did as we waited. On Google, a princess cake is a Swedish domed confection of layered sponge cake with raspberry jam, a custard layer covered in a smooth green marzipan dome. Precisely what we got. It was delicious. Not overly sweet, great texture and flavors. It's going to be one of my favorites from now on. Highly recommend you try one. It's a small cake maybe 6 inches square but packed with flavor.

It costs $16 but you only get 2 ribs that are kind of small and one of mine didn't have much meat on the bone so it felt more like one rib. It's good but I feel it should come with at least 3 ribs. The bread that came with it today was part of a Dutch crunch roll and tasted stale. Sometimes they have good drinks if you are thirty in the refrigerated section.
