Dr. Iones followed up to make sure that I was seeing a doctor for an issue that appeared on the mri. I had a get an MRI, find a neurologist and fast. The challenge was all the neurologist I called, did not have opening for months. Dr. Allis was highly recommended, that said she she was booked for 6 months!!! I explained to the receptionist what was going on and she would talk to the doctor. 15 min later she called me back and Dr. Allis gave up her lunch time to fit me in! On top of that, she gave me all the time I needed going over every single detail of my MRI and just had a great attitude. I must have been to 4 doctors from Manhattan to Baltimore all top of their fields all unable to help me. When I first met Dr. Aillis, she seemed like the sweetest kindest doctor I ever met. For months I would have recommended her as one of the best doctors I've seen. Until my Last visit yesterday. I was pretty I'll uoon arriving, I had no wait, and was promptly greeted by the doctor and brought into her lower lit office for my comfort. The reason for my appointment was, at our Last appointment, she took me off a medication that seemed to be helping but its side effects were too extreme. I was supposed to be going in and trying a new medication. After looking over my chart she says this. "You dont need a different medication you need to be happier ". Was she kidding me, this was it. Her final answer? Apparently, she stood up from her desk and said I should volunteer some place and I just needed to be happier!! I could sit here and write awful reviews about alot of doctors because it seems that's all my life has become is going to doctors and specialists and alternative treatments, had plenty of doctors give up... This woman rates a review because she came off so nice, I really thought she would stick with me and find something that would help me. No, she stood up from her desk In a typical, say good bye manner and said you need to be happy good bye. No more follow ups, no medication to try, no test, just be happy and good bye. That's it.

A few of my medical records had not been forwarded to the office, so she reached out and had them ready to go for my appointment. The waiting room was clean, quiet, and not at all crowded. (It was really nice to see a medical facility properly spacing out patients.) After my appointment, Denise clearly explained next steps as far as followups, and worked with my schedule to book convenient future appointments. Dr. Kelemen was kind, knowledgable, and thorough. He took the time to explain the exam, and encouraged me to ask questions as we talked and worked through my symptoms. He obviously spends a lot of time with patients to get the whole picture of what is going on, and is willing to go above and beyond to be efficient with his findings in order to provide the best possible care. She was honest about the meds, what is available to me as a seronegative pt and the difficulty of the road ahead but remained fully committed to helping me. She had no issues admitting if there was something she did not know. I liked her and felt at ease. No more doctors telling me it was hormonal, all in my head or making me prove i had it. I have had doctors negate tests that proved i had MG after they were "so positive i did not" simply because they wanted to be right and had not kept up on the disease , they were still treating it with old methods. I happened to be visiting for the week, and it was very frustrating for me that every office he was referred to did not have any appointments for two months. I spoke to his chiropractor, who is a family friend, and he stressed the fact that waiting two months was not acceptable. My father is hard of hearing, and not really savvy on social media. Since YELP is my go to for everything, I decided to research other offices and see if I could find him an appointment much sooner. Being in the dental industry, it is very important for me to read credentials and reviews from patients. I was very impressed with Dr. Scopelliti's back ground, so with fingers crossed, I made the call. Ladies and gentlemen, I felt like I was reaching out to an old friend. Debbie was so kind and understanding! Having an aging parent can be very challenging, but she was very patient as my dad chimed in his two cents from the background. She was able to get my father an appointment in four days. We chatted for a bit about what it is like to be a patient provider. She told me about the doctor, and the one on one experience he provides. I sent her dad's insurance information, and she was kind enough to reach out within the hour to explain about his patient portion. I was really looking forward to meeting the team, but circumstances came up and I sent my mom. I wanted her to be able to understand what the Dr. was diagnosing, and due to HIPPA regulations, I wanted her to be able to have future discussions if need be. When they came home, Dad gave rave reviews about Dr. S. He treated him for a full hour, had strict Covid guidelines, and dad had a better understanding about what was happening to his body. I am so very thankful for these people. In this time of uncertainty, you think the worst outcome possible. Dad was convinced he had one foot in the grave, and was discussing his burial wishes. I told him only the good die young, and he has plenty of years left! We have a little work to do to get him on the mend, but thanks to Dr. S and his extremely thorough exam....there will be many more visits with my family.
