It's been 5 years since my initial visit to Lauren's Face The Day. Gloria has been taking care of my skin all this time and let me tell you that the attention to detail, care for her customers & patience with me is phenomenal. She always makes sure to give me great tips for what I can do to maintain her service and is extremely transparent with the cost of service (and what I should prepare to spend on products should I need to splurge on it). She has never been pushy (like other facialists I have visited before) and she always makes sure that what I do to my skin works for the season/maintenance I'm doing at home (i.e. I wanted to do a peel for the summer but she advised me to wait till the winter season since the sun isn't as harsh & won't affect my healing process). From the moment you walk in everyone is extremely welcoming and warm. The receptionist & owner care about everyone that walks in as if they are doing your service too. They have tea and water which they offer their guests (I've even been offered snacks when they have them), socks to put on so you don't disrupt other guests getting treatments done & a relaxing waiting area (which I have never used since Gloria is ALWAYS on time for me). The price has never been expensive, whenever I go in I always think the service cost is going to be more. Cleanliness is extremely important to me, especially with the times that we currently live in with COVID, and the place is always spotless. Even before COVID they have always taken care of the spa and made sure the place is completely sanitary for their guests. Here begins my quest for a good facial in Miami. I had been going to Rescue Skincare for 6 years, but unfortunately Heather Hans left Miami. So, based on a review I read by Allure magazine, I decided to give Face the Day a go. I called, and the receptionist was great! Unfortunately, the good experience stopped there. Yes - I live in Miami. But C'mon, not EVERYONE is a native spanish speaker. My appt was with Gloria. I needed a light peel or micro, but I def needed some exfoliation and was more than willing to pay. I filled out the form at check in regarding my skin. She did not review it with me. She did not ask me what I wanted. Instead gave me a facial that included extractions only. Really? I was upset, but reminded myself that I don't have to come back, which I won't. At the end she applied a light moisturizer for sensitive skin (I was able to interpret that much). Uh - A - I have dry skin, so a light moisturizer is not appropriate, B- I don't have sensitive skin, so no idea where she came up with that. Of course, if I had been asked what I wanted, then perhaps I would have gotten a better treatment. My skin felt as if I had just washed and added nmoisturizer at home; no improvement. Unrelated to the service, they use Pevonia. As a personal preference, I don't find these products to be professional grade. Will be writing more, as the quest continues.... read more

While I'm sure every single person that works there is just as good, I'm glad she was able to do mine. She is such a lovely lady! They use fantastic products and left my face looking and feeling like a baby's. It was also so relaxing! My obsession with Lauren's Face the Day began over two years ago. I was desperately Google searching for a high quality but most importantly affordable facial. Most of the places I came across did not do extractions(squeezing the gunk out of your face) and their prices were outrageous. However, Lauren's gets it just right. After reading the great reviews I decided to book my first facial. My first facial was back in June of 2014 with Gloria. I was so happy with the treatment. Gloria left my skin fresh and radiant. Her voice is very soothing and the atmosphere of the whole establishment is calming. I was so impressed by her professionalism, expertise, and the quality of the products, that I referred my mother to receive a facial with Gloria as well. She too became hooked. The greatest part is that a few months after meeting Gloria I moved to Cambodia for humanitarian work. While I was away my mother continued to receive facials from Gloria once every 3 months. During these session Gloria would never fail to ask my mother how I was doing. Fast forward a year and a half later and I walk back into Lauren's expecting for Gloria not to remember me. To my surprise she embraced me with open arms and said she was happy to see me home safely and that she loved seeing the pictures I was sending my mother while abroad. The Pevonia products are amazing, but what really sets them apart is the fantastic and professional staff they have. Several friends of mine religiously go to Gloria at Lauren's Face the Day for facials, so I wanted to give her a try. The spa is very cute and relaxing and everyone is very welcoming. My facial with Gloria was excellent! She is gentle and knowledgeable. My facial lasted about and a half and included a neck/arm massage and a hand conditioning treatment. The products she used were very gentle and effective. She did not try to push products on me as many spas/salons do. There's a reason 4 or 5 girlfriends of mine are loyal to her.
