Absolutely amazing experience. After a long couple days, I decided to get my girlfriend a day at the spa to enjoy the amenities and get a nice long, relaxing massage. They treated her exactly how I wanted them to, we're extremely helpful, and minus the masseuse missing the part she asked her to work on, the massage was excellent. The environment is soothing and luxurious. Make sure to get there an hour ahead of time to use the amenities and relax in their waiting area, and then after the spa take advantage of the steam, and sauna rooms before you hop into the shower to get ready to go back to the world again. Need an idea for that special lady in your life, definitely set this one up for a day boys. She'll thank you for it in the long run. read more

If you want to go for the snobby vibe, then you need to excel at what you do. If you want to deny patrons access to the pool (no matter how much they spend at your spa), then you need to offer excellent treatments. But if your treatments are subpar, then at least offer impressive amenities. The Biltmore Spa does the absolute least and almost seems proud of it. (Worth mentioning that I wrote in to management about my experience and never even heard back). ICYMI, The Biltmore Spa was disappointing. I have tried a few treatments and each left a lot to be desired. Have you seen the scene in Friends where Ross gives an old man a message with a tonka truck? Yep. The facials are like that. One time, I asked if my technician was going to do any extractions (after she straight up pretend poked my face for 30 seconds) and she informed me I had NO pores. Then she lathered on more face cream. And yet, when I emerged, the ladies in the dressing room ouuu and ahhhed at my face as if I had swapped skin with a porcelain doll. They told me repeatedly that I had a great facial as if it wasn't obvious that this routine was something they routinely did to have their technician's back. (I did appreciate the girl gang energy here but would have enjoyed it even more if I wasn't the patsy in the scene). Do better, The Biltmore. Charging $300 for a face cream soak while sitting in a small coed waiting room with a cup of trail mix is a stretch. Gave you a second star purely because I enjoyed those yogurt balls - they almost made me forget the $300 I flushed down the drain. read more

Received a spa credit with our hotel booking so opted for 50-minute relaxation massages. Everyone, from the receptionists to the attendants to the therapists were wonderfully kind and accommodating. The spa itself is beautifully appointed and very clean. We were pleased with the treatments but did not think they warranted the pricing. I made a same day appointment on a Sunday and the reservation process was seamless. When you check in at the front desk you are greeted and taken to your locker area to change into a very comfy robe.. In the men's locker room is where I found the sauna, steam room and showers. From there I enjoyed some fresh fruits served to be taken into the relaxation lounge until you are called. From there Amanda guided me to my suite where I had an amazing massage. The Biltmore has always been a classic go to in Miami, but unlike a lot of staples that get complacent and fall behind on standards, the Biltmore has only gotten better. I went to the spa today with my mom and every single touch point was a fantastic experience. The front desk staff, Anthony, was extremely nice and helpful. The spa attendant, Martha, was absolutely above and beyond. Normally high end spas don't even have attendants like this but she was so kind and attentive. Such a nice lady. My masseuse Yasmina was also lovely. My mother said hers was great too. Such an incredible experience at the Biltmore spa! My boyfriend gifted me a spa package, I did the mind body and soul massage and a facial as well. I was treated so well, as soon as I walked in everyone was so attentive. The place is so beautiful I highly recommend coming here to relax and relieve some stress. Another year, another fantastic birthday at the Biltmore Spa! Once again, Marlene was wonderful and super strong, helping me work out all my knots. Marta and Maritza, the two locker room attendants, were both incredibly sweet, checking in on my sister and I to make sure we were doing well as we enjoyed the sauna, steam room, and lounge areas. They brought us snacks and drinks, with Maritza even bringing us water into the steam room because she was worried we'd been in there too long! Over priced for service. For the price you are paying for this type of service you expect amazing quality and service. Although everyone was pleasant quality was just not worth the price. A friend and I had gift cards and wanted to book a spa message and nail day. Calling in for an appointment was the first sign. The girl was disinterested in our excitement to visit. Asking questions about packages was like pulling teeth. The hotel is beautiful and old Miami. Upon entering no one was attentive to guide us as we entreated. We had to locate someone to ask for directions to the spa. The spa opening is nice and calming. We checked in and we're given a quick tour of the facility and a locker room key. We had planned to have lunch at the hotel and thought we would be able to order food to the spa. Upon arrival we asked the check in spa attendant how we could order food. She was confused by the question aand was unaware where we could or how to order food. My friend and I used our phones to locate a quick bite in the hotel. We went to the pool and ordered take out. The pool area is beautiful and definitely worth visiting. The service and the pool was quick. The spa is in the hotel, I couldn't understand how they couldn't coordinate a menu of food service. Message was just average not much pressure. I was told I was getting a back exfoliation but just felt like extra gel. There is only 1 brand of color options and only a handful of color options. The gel removal was $15!!! While removing my gel she didn't even cover my nails completely to soak off the gel. The nail tech did not know how to file nails almond shaped and I had to correct some rough edges. Left color residue on skin and around nail. The pedicure message chair doesn't work! The steam room and sauna are great. While relaxing a great attendant served us fruit and sprayed the area with eucalyptus. She even brought us tea she recommended. I believe her name was maritza and definitely an asset to the spa. I was so great full that she was attempting to help us relax and enjoy the spa. I couldn't believe the total cost in the end for service that I wasn't happy with. I could still use a message and will be redoing my manicure after this. read more

I purchased the Journey to Guavonia for two (2) to celebrate my girlfriend's birthday. The attention received was delightful and expected. However, things went a bit wrong for me when I got to enjoy a Eucalyptus steam room and the birthday girl tells me her room has only the steam and when she asked she was told it must be broken, not sure. Not what I expected from this Spa. Also, why does the men retreat has a waterfall shower & the women did not. I felt horrible because as I got to mention the things I enjoyed she continued to not find the same enjoyment. Lastly, the couple's package room is nothing like the picture online. Definitely has the old historian style of Cuba. BEAUTIFUL! :))) Exceded my expectations. The hotel beautiful. The staff attentive. The massages and body scrubs left us feeling soft & like jelly... jajaja... I even booked the IV therapy to rehydrate us. The spa is clean and a nice design but not relaxing. The staff here need training immediately. You also can't even use the pool after paying for a day pass. Your staff is insanely loud: how do you walk into the tranquility room halfway YELLING? I can also hear them clomping down the hallways, slamming cabinets and doors. Constant noise. I would never come back here again. Also asked to book a massage and got an unclear answer if the therapist would be available. No follow up from staff after an hour and a half. read more

Yesterday I visited the Spa at the Biltmore and got the most part it was a very nice experience. We ( party of 4) were greeted by 3 delightful young ladies which gave us a quick rundown of the Spa. I opted for a 50 minute Swedish Massage by a delightful young lady named Sidney. Sidney was very nice, attentive and making sure I was comfortable throughout the whole time but i found her a little inexperienced when it comes down to massage technique. It felt rushed and I left there feeling I didn't receive my moneys worth. Secondly, I just couldn't get past the music played during my massage. It was more of a lobby spa music , very distracting and was not able to fully relax and enjoy the moment. Afterward we were guided to a room where they offered us beverages and snacks. I'm a big fan of great service but the attendants were a little overwhelming in doing so every 5 minutes. Obviously working for tips. The facility is clean and beautiful with room for improvements. Possibly the most unrelaxing and rushed experience I have had in a while. I had an appointment at 1100 for a message. The spa will advise you to arrive 15-20 minutes before hand to settle in. However, rain and wind from TS Fred had knocked out 2 lights on my drive there. So I arrived at 1100 sharp. They were already calling me when I advised them I was at valet. First issue. I went to get a bath robe and it didn't fit. I swore it was a woman's. So I asked the male attendant to get me a bigger size. He said they didn't have one. I advised that I had been there 10 plus times and that yes they had bigger sizes. If he didn't care neither did I and would go out in my birthday suit. He demurred and brought me a bigger size. Imagine his surprise that I was right. Second issue, I wanted to get water and the attendant said no here is a warm bottle of water we don't have time. Even with all that it was 11:11 when I was placed in the room. The massage therapist said, " let me see what I can do because we are rushed for time and you know how they are up front. I have to get you out before my next one." We then proceeded to have the most rushed massage I've had in my life. During it, she placed her elbow on my eye pushing it to the point that I had to tell her "hey, I want my eye." She apologized and we were done by 1149. Yes a whopping 38 minutes when. I paid for 50 minutes. I guess they count the time the elevator opens. Third issue, as I walk out the male attendant asked how it was, I responded: "it sucked". Now at this point Captain Obvious should have gone to get a supervisor or nothing but hey who cares right? Fourth issue, I went to pay. They asked how it was and I didn't answer. I honestly just wanted to leave at this point. The attendant asked any tip? And I said no. Now, when someone doesn't answer about service and does not leave a tip you should ask what's wrong, right ? Not here where mediocracy rules. So I said what happened. The attendant then said--well, we have this policy that you need to be here...at which point I cut her off. I said "that's exactly why I didn't want to complain because you were going to say something stupid about your policy." She offered me 2 free drinks at the restaurant. The Biltmore is already a beautiful hotel to begin with. My mom and I went to get a 70 minute mind and body deep tissue massage and it was heavenly. We went 30 minutes early to enjoy the steam and sauna. As soon as we checked in we were met by a locker attendant who helped us get our keys to our locker and change into our robes and slippers. Then we had the luxury of enjoying the steam and sauna as well was go into the waiting room and lay on lounge chairs. The amenities bar had tea, water and muffins. People were very attentive to our needs and did everything to help us feel relaxed. I went in to get my 70 minute massage. Although I felt as if they ended my massage 10 minutes too soon, it was a very good massage. I thoroughly appreciated her doing everything I asked and she would ask if the pressure was okay. I felt very relaxed. Then I went back to the locker room to shower and get ready. There's a nice area to utilize the hair dryer and get dolled up before leaving the spa. As a Miami native, I have to say this was my first time coming to the Biltmore and I was impressed by how beautiful this build was. We checked in for a couple's massage on a Thursday afternoon so there was not many people (which is a good thing for most people wanting to go to a spa in my opinion). We were greeted at the door and was directed to the spa (floor #7). The floor of the spa was nicely kept, pleasant and had relaxing vibe! I loved the historical background of the whole building as well. We enjoyed our complimentary fruits and some tea while we waited for our $50 minute massage. The massage was a very relaxing experience and a perfect idea to have a date. One advantage Biltmore has over many other high end spas: free parking! Yup, gotta love the big parking lot right next to the hotel, which can save you a bit compare to other spas in South Beach and downtown. However, while the hotel itself is gorgeous, I have to say the spa itself does not measure up to other spas with bells and whistles like fancy crystal sauna room, hamam and rain massage. It's an older spa, witha basic steam and sauna in the locker room, and a smallish co-ed lounge, with some tea and refreshment. Another sign of aging is the pilled cotton sheet on the massage table. I am not such a princess that it ruins my rest, and I am not such a brat to dock one star for it, but I definitely would expect Biltmore to do better. As for the massage itself, I have no complain. I picked the Journey to the Fountain of Youth, and I briefly considered whether to go for deep tissue. However, the Swedish as it is is very nice, the touch is gentle but firm enough to work out knots, not just some superficial rubbing around. The treatment makes me feel great afterwards. While not necessarily my favorite spa in Miami, it's not bad for a relaxing afternoon when I don't feel like driving to South Beach. read more

It's not too often I go for a local treat yo'self day, but when it's Miami Spa Month, you gotta take advantage! After evaluating the deals, my husband and I ended up at the Biltmore Spa for the $199 Fountain of Youth facial and Swedish massage package. I called on a Monday and easily booked for that upcoming Saturday. They told us to arrive at 3:00 pm for a 3:40 pm appointment. Free parking is available in the lot on the side of the hotel and check in was a breeze, so we didn't really need to be there that early; however, you can hang out in the relaxation room while waiting for the appointment and not be rushed. Some people were talking rather loudly in that room which was a little annoying but alas... I first had the Swedish massage and then the facial by two different women. I appreciated how the masseuse asked me what I'd like her to focus on, since 50 minutes can really fly by. It was quite relaxing! The facial was really awesome though. It included extractions and my skin left glowing! I would totally go back to the Biltmore on any ol' day just for this facial. Unlike some other spas, you don't have access to the pool by way of the treatments, but you can use the steam room and sauna. You get a robe to hang out in and there are other bathroom amenities but nothing too fancy. There are also complimentary light snacks and beverages like tea and coconut water. They let me know the spa will be undergoing renovations this September. I look forward to heading back! read more

I'm delighted to share with everyone my amazing experience at the Spa today, after a hectic work week, and Saturday night filled with fun, I decided to try the spa here at the iconic Biltmore hotel, I drove 45mim from where I live to experience this place. And let me share with you all my time here was exquisite, divine and pristine, I absolutely recommend this place, starting from the greeting from the FD located in the 7th floor, with a sweet smile from Caroline she checked me in, then I was walked to the areas where I would be relaxing and enjoying every second. I came in around 1:30pm to arrive prior my service at 2:40pm to start relaxing and well let me continue with more. I enjoyed the steam room ( I would say could've been a little hotter but was good) then I went to the sauna and finally used the amazing cold shower, please check the pictures I took, Tania, Jesus and Martha the attendants of the common areas were kind and courteous, then I had the incredibly pleasure to meet Patricia ( she is from Colombia ) and let's just say she want above and beyond for me, she is truly expert of costumer service, she kept checking if I was needing anything at all times and made my day absolutely relaxing and magical which was my point on booking here and giving it a try. She showed me more of the spa, the area for the nails and facials, she gave a delicious coffee and don't forget to ask for the sweet biscottis (couldn't resist a few of those lol), then when the time of my service was due, I was called by Judith, she took to the massage room, and I haven't felt such a precise way of massaging in a long time, she was professional and delicate with her touch, and did fantastic job with the "balancing massage" which was a mix between Swedish and deep tissue (yeah I felt sleep a few times during my massage lol it was that good ), I finished and Patricia came back to check on me and offered me a mix of water, lemon and mint, then sat down for a relaxing view of the Coral Gables city from the co-Ed lounge area, and let me just conclude when you need to relax, decompress and enjoy your time this would be an amazing idea. She told me the staff were running late so he had to wait in the hallway. When they finally let her in, it was game time. They got her prepped and assigned her a locker. I love the Biltmore spa! It's honestly one of the best spas in Miami, especially being in one of the prettiest hotels here as well. As a local, it's nice to be able to go and spend a few hours to unwind and have a little R&R. I'm a member at the Biltmore club. I really wanted to enjoy this, but it was a pretty terrible experience. First they messed up my reservation (which they comped a glass of Prosecco for), then the therapist didn't know I ordered the hot stone add-on. He went to get the stones and had no idea how to use them. He was rubbing them all over my back rather than placing them. I told the front desk at checkout and they said I "had the treatment performed". Two hundred bucks later and I'm more tense than when I walked in. One more thing - the rooms are bright, including the "relaxation room" where you can hear everything outside the door. It's a no for me. read more

I saw that the Biltmore was one of the spas participating in Miami Spa Month. Unlike many of the other places, your $99 deal got you not one but TWO treatments: a 50 minute Swedish massage, and a 30 minute facial. Considering I could see the Biltmore from my dorm at UM, and lived so very close for four years but never actually managed to make it over there, this was an opportunity I just couldn't pass up. I made two reservations: one for myself, and one for my mother. I figured it wouldn't be much fun having a spa day by myself :) We got down there a few hours before our 3 pm appointments, so we could get complimentary passes to use the pool. We could've easily spent all day out there - it's nice that they let you have the passes if you have a spa appointment. When it came time for our treatments, we changed into our very comfy robes and slippers, and waited in the relaxation room to be called. She was whisked away for her facial, while I went to get my massage. My massage therapist (I believe her name was Robin) was very nice, and did a great job. I usually tense up when I get massages, but I felt completely relaxed the whole time (so relaxed that I fell asleep during my facial afterward, haha). After the massage, I went back to the relaxation room, which wasn't all that relaxing because a few women in there were chatting and laughing loudly the whole time. I can't afford this place with their regular prices, so I'm glad they participated in the Spa Month so I had the opportunity to visit. By the way, this was my mom's first spa experience... Had a nice trip to the spa. Judith gave me a great deep tissue massage and foot massage. I always think the services at the Biltmore spa are top notch, but the facilities are quite limited. There is an ok space to sit and wait for your therapist to come get you, but it is clearly a waiting room rather than a space to hang out and relax. The views are beautiful overlooking the leafy canopy of Coral Gables, but the space isn't very relaxing, it's noisy. I got to listen to the staff in corridor discussing a guests lost necklace and struggles covering the locker room attendant role. Also, the water feature on the wall seemed to be broken with towels on the floor mopping up the spill. The changing rooms are very cramped and there is a small sauna and steam room. It's not a space that I find relaxing so I skipped that, if the space were bigger it would have seemed more luxurious/relaxing. I guess they are limited with what they can do with the space. The massage was great, but it's expensive considering there is no real space to hang out and make a day of it. You are not allowed to go to the pool so you can sit in the waiting room and look out the window or go home. Reception staff were plentiful and friendly.
