Another thing that really impressed me is the equipment. They have top of the line apparatus that you just don't see in many of the other Pilates studios around Marin. Everything is beautifully maintained, professional grade, and clearly chosen with serious Pilates practice in mind. It makes the entire experience feel elevated and authentic. She's innovative, fun, focused, a great communicator, intuitive, has an excellent personality and memory, and while I keep thinking about how her talents are not being used on me because of my age and physical limitations, she never seems like she is thinking that way. She finds new ways to open up tight places and create flexibility that I thought I lost years ago. Her energy and enthusiasm is wonderful because I am excited to keep trying to do more at home even with small movements. I look forward to working there each week. The parking is easy and ingress and egress is a breeze, which is not always true for places in Marin. Everyone is friendly and seems delighted to be there. She is meticulous. She knows the human body like no one else I've ever known. Her knowledge of Pilates, physical therapy, and manual therapy is so extensive that once she determines what the problem is, she knows exactly how to fix it. And she DOES fix it! Between Covid and some family losses, I was unable to come for my sessions for about 4 months. I'm back with Daniella now, and I sure can tell the difference! I'm currently training for my first 50K race, and have struggled for months with what I thought was…read morea hamstring issue. I went to see Daniella based on the recommendation of my wife, who had worked with Daniella with great success on problems with her hips and legs. Daniella almost immediately identified my issue as a problem in the piriformis, NOT the hamstring, and began a course of treatment that in just a few visits had me out on the trails running with absolutely no pain for the first time in a long time. Daniella has what is, in my experience at least, a really unique way to approach your problems. She identifies the underlying cause of the issue, and then combines Pilates, strengthening exercises and massage to gradually return your body to a more healthy state. One of the great things that she includes in her treatment is that she will email you videos she takes during your session, so that you can see the proper way to do the strengthening exercises at home, and this allows you to really work on your particular area of weakness in between visits to Daniella. In addition to all this, Daniella is an absolute delight to be around, and her studio is a beautiful and peaceful place. As with any physical therapy, you'll get out of it what you put into it, but if you're willing to do the work that's necessary to help your body get better, you will not find a better physical therapist than Daniella!

I met Lauren in 2015, after I tore my left ACL and had ACL replacement surgery. Prior to seeing Lauren I saw two other physical therapist, which at that time I thought was fine. I showed up, they gave me some exercises, I did them and went on my merry way, not knowing any better, until I had to go and take a functional fitness test and failed miserably. At that time, I was living in SoCal, but luckily for me I took a contract job that took me to the bay area. When I moved, I had to find a new physical therapist and that's when I found Lauren. From my first appointment I knew that she was the perfect therapist for me. I am a very demanding and straight forward person and told her right off the bat what I expected and what outcome I would like to achieve. I knew I needed to pass the functional fitness test, that became my primary goal. However, I've always been an avid runner and a group fitness instructor so improving my running pace and becoming leaner and stronger were my secondary goals. Lauren never hesitated and confidently reassured me that she will get me to where I want to be. In the span of 3 months I went from experiencing knee pain with every movement to being able to lift weights, complete intense plyometric workouts, and running 8min/mile for up to 4 miles. Lauren was able to get me into better shape than before my injury and in the process, I lost 12 lbs without even thinking about it. Lauren goes above and beyond for her patients. She texted and called me regularly to check up on me and ask me for updates on my knee pain. In the 3 months that I worked with Lauren it never ever felt like work. I looked forward to going to my sessions and actually miss it when I am not able to keep my appointments.
