She wouldn't see me in person. She called from the salon late in afternoon. It was very noisy in background and she was speaking FAST. I could only hear something about negativity. I have moderate to severe hearing loss coupled with severe tinnitus. She wouldn't let me say anything as she spoke so fast. I managed to ask her not to put words in my mouth, which she rejected and kept uttering words I could barely hear. I had wanted to originally speak to her about the color of my hair she did a full hilight on. There was no way she would speak to me. When I asked her if she would see me one last time, she said she didn't want to "touch my head" I have never complained about her in 11 years. I've been going to her every 7or 8 weeks consistently. I even wrote the owner of the salon Taryn. Her response back was only that she has the right to choose who she wants to service. I get that. She neglected to address that I couldn't hear/understand WHY?! Very unprofessional in my opinion. Thankfully I have found someone who actually gave my hair some style, nice color and way less expensive. I had no idea my type of hair could be styled in any other way than she had for all those years. My new stylist has 30 years of experience, so maybe that's what made the difference. I have an AirTouch technique in my hair, and since the salon does not offer AirTouch services, I wanted to confirm in advance that we could achieve a similar look using balayage or highlights. I was assured we could proceed. At the appointment, I waited a bit (which I understand happens in Miami). Once seated, the stylist examined my hair carefully and suggested doing a half head of highlights first to see how my fine, chemically damaged hair would react. I appreciated the caution and explained my previous negative experience with another stylist. When I left the salon, I was happy. The result wasn't identical to my inspiration photos, but I felt good about it. However, after washing my hair once, I noticed obvious orange foil spots and poorly blended areas near my ears. I immediately contacted the salon, and to their credit, they accommodated me the next day for a correction. Unfortunately, the solution offered was to darken my roots to cover the orange spots. This left me questioning why I paid $450 to lighten my roots, only to have them darkened again. Now, just a little over two weeks later, my hair already looks grown out because of the darker roots. For the price point and reputation of this salon, I expected better execution and a longer-lasting result. I truly wanted to love the experience, but overall, I'm very disappointed.

I called them when I realized my mistake and they said come in anyway. She claimed no time for highlights, but I guess wanted to make money of some sort so instead of rescheduling, she did roots (made them red) and put a toner on my hair (which washed out!) Why not wait and do it right then? I should have NEVER been told to come on in. So instead of highlights, we decided to try to fix the yellow hair and she wanted to do color on my roots claiming she could tone down the red. Within one week, bright red roots and bright yellow hair- worse than before I came in. I even showed her a photo AND told her NO red and I wanted white blonde. After spending almost $200 - and no I didn't tip the owner.... in the sun my roots were on fire - bright red when I specifically said NO RED and the rest my blonde hair was back to being yellow.. When the leaving the salor the temporary toner had worked - TEMPORARILY! She didn't color correct, but rather put a temporary toner that washed out (I could have done that myself for $20.00) and I could have made my own roots bright red for about $10.00. For me a total waste of my money. She claims if I had just done highlights the red and yellow would have been handled. So why tell me to come in??? Unfortunately, I don't trust her, so I won't be going back. Basically spent almost $200 and a week later worse than what I came in with. I never did my own hair, only touched up roots. Sadly, I could have given myself red roots and kept my yellow hair.- which was given to me by a great hairdresser, who did a beautiful job for about 4 years and then one day, being too busy, he made it all yellow. Generally, I've always been under the impression that it's better to cut wet bangs longer than intended, so you can go in and fix after the blow dry. Unfortunately, my bangs were cut /very/ short and.... Looked even /shorter/ after the blow dry . This was heartbreaking, as I had communicated and received a verbal confirmation on desired length.
