Rod and Annette!…read more I can't say for certain (a lie), but I'm fairly sure that the good people who run Jordyn's Pets and Plants are not so serendipitously named. However, they run a pretty great little fish shop all the same. Jordyn's Pets and Plants is located on Kaumana Drive, all the way up above the Kaumana Caves. However, if you take advantage of the Puainako extension and cut through to Kaumana Dr. via Wilder Rd., it's right there for you. At least that's the route I would recommend. You'll not find a real parking lot, so to speak, but there's plenty of room in the lot next to the building, as well as on the other side of the road to park. Once inside, you'll find a very quaint shop lined wall-to-wall with tanks of various fish. They're mostly (if not all) fresh water fish to be put in an aquarium, but you'll find a nice variety nonetheless. Fish of all colors, shapes, and sizes! It would probably be pretty tough to run a fish shop that sold only generic fish that all looked exactly the same, I guess... But I digress! In addition to the many (unique) fish sold at Jordyn's, they sell quite a few live plants for you to situate ever so tastefully in your aquarium as well. I mean, really, are you content with those not-quite-the-right-shade-of-green plastic decorative plants? Nah, son. Get you a real plant and experience the upgrade. Your fish and family will thank you. Jordyn's of coures has the other odds and ends you'd expect to see at a fish store. Food and the like. You'll just have to pop in yourself to catch it all. There is a younger white woman who was wonderful and helpful but the one bad egg ruins it for me. We went in the other day because we are rescuing two puppies and taking them back mainland. We talked to the younger girl and she was so helpful, kind and shared a lot of knowledge with us. She was a five star employee and if she had been our only contact this review would be different. We grabbed one small crate because we weren't sure what size we needed and proceeded to the checkout. The old lady was there staring at us. Doing nothing. My husband said "I don't fit in the line because the crate is too big". There was also no one else in line at all. She still made my husband walk all the way over to where the line starts and then walk back over to her checkout station, basically walking in a circle just for her own satisfaction. Total power play. We let it go. We have been calling daily for almost a week now trying to secure the second crate we need so we can take the puppies with us. Every time we call this old woman answers and is so rude. She doesn't even check to see if the crate is available she just says call back later or check back every Thursday (which we've BEEN doing). Imagine my surprise when I went online right after calling her and the crate IS available. I've purchased it and pray they will actually pull it off the shelf for me, but I have no faith at this point. What a strange place to treat customers like this. She truly behaves as though she doesn't care about her job or the customers at all. Surprising from someone in the older generation. Do better.

Their products are 100% locally sourced, raised, and/or harvested here in the State. Since these products do not have any additional preservatives or ingredients that you can barely pronounce, you can bet that these are super healthy for your fur kids. My fur kid always enjoys their products; from their beef organs and beef lung treats to their raw food, from their beef/venison bone broth to their lickable tallow balm for his paw pads. He loves it all! They also have been making new innovative products to assist in providing the healthiest and nutritional food to your fur kid. One of their newest product, furrykake is made to be as a topper for your fur kid's meal. I can't stress enough how my fur kid loves eating it and how beneficial it is for his health, especially that he is now entering in his senior years. You can find these products online, at select local pet stores around the state, and at occasional pop up events. If you have any questions, they are more than welcome to help. The owners are super nice and always have a smile on their face!
