I can usually go at least 6-8 weeks without needing a wax with minimal tweezing maintenance in between. I seek expert help when I notice that my brows are slightly unsymmetrical in photos (see attached) and to the point that I don't know what to do to fix them. I recently moved to the Weymouth area and Kathie's proximity + glowing 5 star reviews suggested she'd be the right one to get me back on track. I requested an appointment here on Yelp and she responded within minutes giving me times to choose from. I saw her the next evening. It's never an easy feat when someone new is about to alter one of your most important facial features, but she made me feel comfortable right away by thoroughly explaining and showing via a mirror not only what she was going to do but also why. We also discussed my medical history that might affect the sensitivity of my skin. The last few salons that I've been to only very loosely followed DPH guidelines at best. The great ratings drew me in, but the immaculate environment and friendly staff kept me there. As other reviewers have noted, the salon is very lovely with a modern decor which is impeccably clean with superb organization. There is great attention to detail with both decor and product displays. Steve and Cindy were extremely personable and accommodating. Steve was very informative, explaining each service option and offering his professional input so that I was able to make informed decisions regarding my services. Timeliness was a bit of an issue as there was a steady flow of clientele. I was a "walk in" and was advised that it would be an hour before anyone was available to assist me. I had another errand to run in the area and since my afternoon was very open, this wasn't a problem. This is important to me because the time I spend having my nails done is usually a rare bit of downtime in my otherwise hectic schedule. I spend my days in a "PR" role and it's nice to not feel obligated to feign interest in a forced conversation. At the same time, there has to be a comfortable level of communication to avoid awkward silence. Steve struck this balance beautifully. 3) The level of respect shown by Steve and Cindy toward their clients was second to none. I've been in many other salons over the years and have been subjected to nail technicians being preoccupied with personal phone calls/texting, engaged in personal conversations with other staff around them or distracted by a TV, eating, etc. There were no "cringe worthy" moments during my visit here today. Clients were greeted by name as they arrived and treated as friends. Everyone in a customer service industry should strive for such standards of professionalism. In summary: I highly recommend this nail salon. They've elevated everything they do here to a standard of excellence that you will not find anywhere else.
