This was the worst nail experience I've ever had. The guy cut my nails down to nubs and absolutely destroyed the length and shape of all of my nails. He also left repeatedly to go take phone calls. He cut my toe where it was bleeding quite a lot. Took probably 15 minutes doing dip on my nails and maybe 10 on my toes, absolutely rushing through it all. When I expressed my feelings about how they looked bad they told me they looked fine and still made me pay $88. This place has such bad service and I would never recommend this place ever. They also told me that since I was over 18 I couldn't get money off even though they looked terrible. read more

We called before coming and they said no problem. When we got there we were stuck waiting for over a half hour with our feet in the water. The owner/manager (not sure who she is) was very rude and not hospitable at all. She was complaining the whole time about being tired and people coming late. They then rushed and did a very poor job. They cut me and made me bleed. I understand this happens, but this was from rushing. The pedicure and manicure were just subpar. The manicure especially was just awful. The technician was nice enough, but the paint was old and should have been thrown away. She insisted it was fine and could be used... even did two top coats to make it glossy. It just looks awful. Absolutely the worst experience of my life at a nail salon. The dazzle dry color kept streaking when applied. Instead of asking me to select another color or use a new bottle the technician kept taking it off all ten nails and reapplying. Other technicians kept coming over to help and she pushed them away. Additionally, the technician was not gentle when filing my nails and it hurt. After two hours of torture, I said I am leaving. She had the nerve to charge me for the worst no polish manicure I have ever had in 30 years of having my nails done. I won't be back to Glossy Nails and I suggest you go ANYWHERE else for a decent nail salon experience. As a Hingham resident who gets their nails done every two weeks I'll be looking for a new clean salon next time. I only added one star because, it's required. The first visit they shaped my nails nice but they painted on my cuticles it lifted within a week. I decided to go back and tell them and they said in the future let them know they will redo it, no charge. This time it was done very nicely and lasted three weeks. The third time I decided to try a design for my vacation and when booking the appointment specified I needed someone who knew how to do designs. Got there the lady cut my thumb and I bleed for three days, that same nail lifted in one week. Had two nails broken she wanted me to do dip, I said no file the nail down where it's broken they don't need to be long. She passed me the nail filer to do myself. When it came time to do the design, that's when she told me she didn't know how to do it and they're too busy. I complained and asked to speak to the manager that's when she got me someone. The person she got, did a horrible job. This place came highly recommended from my cousin who has thee best nails ever, she use to go here before moving in the past. I'm giving them two stars because this place is great for a regular gel polish if you get the right person. Designs are a NO NO!!! Plus they are too pricey for doing such a horrible job! read more

New to the area and have been looking for a good nail spa that does dip nails. So glad I found Glossy Nail and Beauty Spa and this will be my go-to. First of all the place is super clean which is my number one concern with nail spas. They cover the already clean foot tubs with disposable plastic covers and the equipment is sanitized for each customer. I got a pedicure, French dip for my fingers and a eyebrow wax. Turned out really good and service was gentle. All the nail technicians are super nice too By the way they are located next to a Starbucks which is a plus. Now if they offered tea and water like other top nail spas I would give them 5 stars. read more

These people are rude, and they rush through EVERYTHING. I understand sometimes you need to hustle during busy times. However, I went in on a slow day and wasn't given any time to pick a color that I like. On top of that they straight out asked me to tip them, which in my opinion just is rude to assume you're getting tipped. Anyways, I got dipping powder and they purposely made them more thin and fragile than other salons. I got them done 4-5 days ago and they're already beginning to fall off and break. I wasn't going to write the review until I realized they aren't lasting close to 2 weeks. I genuinely do not like and do not recommend this place anymore:( read more

horrible service. went in this morning at 10:45. we were getting 2 gel mannies (i was with my friend). had a time crunch so we made an appointment the day before. when we get there, we didn't get seated until 11:05 and nobody starts my nails until 11:20. they were taking walks in this whole time. my nails were finished at 11:45. they only took 25 minutes so we should have been out of there around 11:15. side note they are not short staffed. just kept taking walk ins. my friend did not get served until i was finished. like i said, we had a time crunch so we didn't have time for my friend to get hers done. In the post Covid life, find someplace to get a pedicure. Yes, I know but it is a true need. I'm extremely picky and normal circumstances, but post Covid I am very very finicky! I did my research, and while I was at Starbucks next-door, I went in to take a look at round to see what measures they were taking. The place is spotless, they have a sign up that says everybody must wear a mask, have an appointment, and wash their hands as soon as they enter, and before they leave. They have sanitizer and handwashing stations set up. Everybody in the salon has a mask on, the pedicure tub is lined with a plastic liner, they wear gloves and masks and have a plastic barrier set up between you and the technician, while doing your nails. I also noticed that there were X marks on every other seat, so that nobody would sit next to you. My experience was extremely pleasant, and relaxing. My nail tech was wonderful, did a phenomenal job, and went above and beyond! It was one of the best pedicures I've had in a very very long time!I will definitely be going back I don't know what the issues are with the bad reviews, but I can't find anything bad to say about this place, at all! read more

This is my go-to nail salon. My last manicure was done by Taylor, who not only did a phenomenal job as it lasted me A MONTH, NO CHIPPING, but was so sweet and we chatted the entire time! Every staff member has always been so kind to me and helped me when I was indecisive about deciding a color, to make sure it was exactly what I wanted. Atmosphere and excellent service combined, their prices are completely fair and reasonable as my nails have always lasted so long. I have NEVER had any trouble getting an appointment either, calling ahead or walking in. If you aren't sure, this is your sign to go. They were voted best in the south shore for a reason. read more

I'm sitting in the parking lot writing this review. I just had a manicure and pedicure with Kim. While the pedicure was fantastic, the manicure may be the worst I've ever had. There was no removal of the clear polish on my nails, my cuticles were roughly cut (see pictures) and the polish was applied sloppily with no clean up afterward. When I asked her to re-do some of the nails, she removed and applied color directly to the bare nail without reapplying base coat. While Kim was a lovely person, I would not return to see her. read more

Going to make this short and sweet. Had a gift card, so gave it a shot! The salon was very clean. The staff was extremely nice. The only reason I'm giving three stars is because I felt rushed. As I was getting my nails painted, the technicians changed. The paint job I feel is good but not great. No hand massage, not sure if that's due to Covid or if they were in a hurry. A simple manicure turned into a disaster and disappointment. I had to leave after the gel polish was removed (45 minutes later) after being bounced around to 3 different workers. I called and asked for a Express Pedicure so I could get to an appointment on time...and they charged me for a regular Pedicure which is much more money and was not as long as it should have been for the surcharge, while the whole time I thought it would be an Express. When I went to pay, the nail polish I picked happened to be $7 extra, but there was no sign or anyone that told me that beforehand and I had no idea. I was shocked, and so upset, and no one did anything about it. It was not worth the money at all. That was my second visit. My first I had to personally walk into the back room to get help after no one was at the door for 5 mins and there was someone drying their nails alone in the space. The most beautiful nail salon I have ever been in. Everything is glossy and white and spotless. The seats were comfortable. The music was calming. I was drinking a caramel macchiato from the Starbucks next door -thinking I'd be wired- and almost fell asleep I was so relaxed. My manicurist was the friendliest older gentleman. He helped me pick out a color and was incredibly detail oriented. Meticulous, even. I smudged my gel polish in the led light dryer and he fixed it without complaint. The owner was there with her hubby and adorable daughter. She clearly cares a lot about her business and is very invested. They also have products for sale like polishes, burts bees, morocanoil hair products. On the pricier side, my gel was $35. However, you get what you pay for. The owner chose to keep me waiting 20 minutes past my appt time. Once I finally got under way, she took my manicurist away from me, and kept me waiting again before I could be finished.
