I have been to this nail salon in the past and my experience today made me want to make this my nail spot! My family and I went here to get our nails done for my cousin's wedding this weekend. We had 4 younger kids with us and wanted to be sure they were taken care of. John took care of the smaller ones and made their manicures and pedicures painless and easy! He said I'd get a discount and only charge me $45 for a full set with matte gel, then I asked how much fill-ins are and he confidently said, "$45". "The same as the set? So I had an appointment for a mani/pedi but when I got there they were super busy and did not have anyone available to see me. So one of the ladies said her daughter would see me. She was very nice but could definitely tell she was new because she took an hour to do my pedicure and certainly skipped a few steps because I was watching the others around me. So then her mom came and did my gel manicure chair side and apologized for the service being slow, which was a nice gesture. But she rushed through my manicure so fast that it's literally chipping and peeling after 24 hours. I get if your busy, but don't overbook/take walk-ins if you have appointments on the schedule. The tech that did my nails took a lot of time to make sure there was no dip powder stuck to my skin to turn around and pay zero attention when applying the top coat. There was a giant glob that dropped on the side of my pinky. She barely wiped it off. I had to point out it was still there before putting them in the uv light. There are several nails that have top coat stuck to my skin on the sides of my nails. She also asked me towards the beginning if I wanted my eyebrows done. I politely declined. Towards the end she asked again. I again politely declined. She asked if I did them myself. I said no I prefer them natural. She then had the audacity to tell me one was bigger than the other. Completely unprofessional. The first No should have been enough. The second should have been the end. To tell me that one was bigger than the other was taking it way over the line. I booked a very specific package with an online reservation. We were greeted and given a different package for a pedicure. that's ok, however the price I was charged was astronomical. and didn't add up even when combining different services. But the worse part is, I didn't receive was was listed in the package description- including the callous removal, wax, hot stones or massage. That's kind of the point of getting the pedicure. I can trim my own toenails and put polish on them myself. There was a debate in Vietnamese between the gentleman and lady who worked on myself and my sister. My husband and mother-in-law both had a great experience and their manicures and pedicures were spot on. The techs were great and actually very funny. They give you a good amount of attention for a fair price, which is great! They were both happy! While I had the same amount of attention in terms of time, the quality of work was miles apart. The nail technician I had did a fair job on my pedicure, but I didn't get what I asked for, which was nail art in my big toes. By the time she was done with my pedi, my mother-in-law was already finished and waiting so I didn't bother. The manicure was not good at all. Worst nail service I've had in a long time. Made an appointment a week in advance to get specific nail techs, they gave us people who barely knew how to paint nails, left my mom's toes a mess after putting about 5 coats of polish that were never able to dry. I sat in a pedicure chair with my feet in cold water for an hour after my original appointment time while they helped 3 people who were walk-ins that came in after me. This was my first time at the salon and I did not feel welcome at all. Although Tommy was recommended, he did not attempt to make any conversation and deserted me at the nail dry bar. When it was time to pay, another young lady called him (I'm assuming to check me out) and he did not come. It would have been nice for him to say thank you, how do you like your nails, would you like to schedule another service? I usually tip 25% but did not leave him anything because he did not seem to care. My husband and I typically get upgraded pedicures and manicures every 2 weeks and have done so for 20 years.
