This place is such a hidden gem, I almost missed it the first time. It's right near the Compass…read moreRealty office and Drybar in Old Town Alexandria, but the signage is small so it's easy to walk past. It's located on the second floor, on the same level as the barbershop. I arrived a few minutes early for my appointment and was able to use their bathroom across the hall to freshen up before my massage, which I really appreciated. All of the staff are female, and as a woman booking online and getting a random therapist, that made me feel very comfortable right away. My masseuse was incredibly kind and helpful, she asked which areas needed extra attention, which I thought was very considerate and thoughtful. Even though I didn't add any extras, my massage included hot stones, which was amazing and honestly such a nice surprise since that usually costs extra elsewhere. She also used heating pads on my back and even gave me a relaxing head and hair massage. After the massage, they gave me free slippers and a 2026 calendar, which was such a sweet, unexpected touch. The price alone makes this place stand out: $85 for a 60-minute deep tissue massage, which is significantly more affordable than most other massage spots in the area and the quality and cleanliness was absolutely there. I left feeling relaxed, cared for, and like I truly got my money's worth. I'll definitely be returning and highly recommend this place if you're looking for a great massage in Old Town without paying luxury spa prices.

Let me start by saying this was my first experience at a spa. I had no idea what to expect other…read morethan what I read online. The reviews were kind of mixed so I hope I can clear it up for anyone else considering Live Health Center! I came here for a couples massage with mini facials and a foot bath with reflexology (Groupon deal, also check deals on their website). We arrived a half hour early and were prepared to wait, however they immediately took us back. It is true that the walls do not go all the way up and you can hear other noises, but I don't feel this took away from the experience at all. The staff were amazing and so attentive for the entire two hours. By the end we were so relaxed. I would definitely recommend and we will be returning! For others like me who will be having their first spa experience, let me just give a few more details...When we were taken back to our room, we were told to take off our clothes. We were both unsure if we should be completely naked or leave on the little bits. I would recommend leaving on underwear for anyone who is not comfortable. Everything else will need to come off for the oil massage, but you're covered by a blanket the entire time. They may adjust the blanket to reach your thighs or butt (yes, they massage your butt lol), which sounds like it would be uncomfortable but actually isn't after the initial shock. The hot stones feel amazing for anyone thinking of trying them! I totally recommend. As far as tipping, it's like any other service. Yes, you should tip. We tipped a little over 20% for the priced paid because we enjoyed it so much. Try it out you won't regret! A true bang for your buck compared to other places we checked out online.

The facility was clean and peaceful. They got us in right away, we shared a room. The massage was one of the best I ever had. Both me and my husband left with giant zenned out grins. I felt incredible the rest of the day. Highly recommended!
