First the good parts: 1) charitable - I first found this practice at a cancer 5k where they were giving free massages 2) skilled - I only ever saw Brandy but she was amazing. Worth every penny. I used to go to her every month. Now for the bad parts: This isn't like a massage office where there are receptionists to keep track of the appointments. Instead it's an office space where the therapists only show up when they have a previously scheduled appointment. That's why when you call you always get an answering machine and they call you back. Unfortunately that means that if your therapist forgets your appointment, you're stuck on your own in a cold concrete stairwell calling a line with no one on the other end after you carved out time in your schedule and arranged child care. I had hoped that someone would call to explain or apologize but no one ever did. I haven't been back since. If you don't have a busy schedule and fitting appointments in isn't a challenge or a hassle if they don't work out then this is definitely worth checking out. Otherwise maybe find something a bit more dependable. read more

Who can't love a service that comes right to your front door??? I had seen a groupon for Meeting Your kneads and wanted to purchase it but as with anything, I searched for reviews on Yelp and couldn't find anything. I took a chance on them because 1) they have a nearby office, 2) the price was amazing 3) I love in home massages! I called to schedule my appt and had great service from Bonnie! She answered all my questions, was very flexible with the time/date and also agreed to upgrade my coupon from a one hour to 90 minutes for a small fee! Jackpot! I was excited. On the day of the service, my therapist, Laura arrived on time, was very professional and listened to my "kneads". I had a few kinks on my shoulder that she worked on. The prices are very competitive for this place, they are local which is a huge plus, and they don't try to up sell you with future packages. Wow. I had been feeling pretty lousy for a number of months now. I work on my feet and do a lot of lifting all day every day at work. I live on Advil and Salonpas patches. I decided to make an appointment to see if it could help as my chiropractor had recommended it a while back. Well, Brandy worked out months long knots that had been making me miserable. Not only that but it took them 2 weeks to call me back to even make the appointment in the first place because when u call it goes straight to voicemail and to pray they call back. We had the couple massage, bought it from Groupon. I called a month ago for appointment and they confirmed it. A week before my massage I received a call and then they said they can't do couple massage that day and my appointment needs to reschedule. That caused little inconvenience, I had to alter my other plans. Place was clean and well setup. Our therapists were both Brandi. They understood our requirements well but service was okay. I was expecting more, probably not the best massage I have ever had. Music was repeatative - not good. Room was full of lights so we were not able to relax well. Lights should have been dimmer. We had a couples massage at Meeting Your Kneads at their new Burke location and it was fabulous!! I had a Groupon and booked the appointment the day before. The office is clean and well set up. The massage therapists, Brandi and Chelsea, were both really good. They were professional, polite, and friendly. They checked in with us during our treatment to make sure the pressure was good. There are things for sale in the waiting area, but there was no mention of them or pressure to buy (which I was thankful for). They gave us each a bottle of water when we were done - a nice touch so we could take it with us instead of just getting a glass. I highly recommend Meeting Your Kneads. I know that we will be back! Had Groupon with them, they kept rescheduling till the Groupon expired. They never answer the phone, no matter what time you call. Left 3 voice mail, after 6 days they called back. It's nice that they have appointments on weekend and you can book via email. I had Kelly as my masseuse. She was rushing me at first because she's got someone lined up immediately after me. 1 star but worth a 0 So first I booked a couple massage more than one month in advance. Saturday was a snowy day but roads were clear and shop still open. Nothing to worry about. In order to make sure they were open I called 6 times. Nobody picked up the phone. On the voice mail it said they don't have a person who manage the front desk so sometimes they won't be able to respond but THEY WILL CALL YOU BACK ? Oh really ? No they won't Anyway my husband and I decided to drive there and surprise nobody was there. I don't mind them closing the store but please at least let your customers know ! Especially people who have an appointment! So we don't waste our time driving there for nothing. In the next 3 days I didn't get any call, any email, nothing at all Just cancelled your appointment without any apologies ! I bought a Groupon to get a massage here and wasn't disappointed. I chose to get a full body massage, focusing on my legs since I ran a half marathon the day before. Brandy is very sweet and met my needs and the private room was nice and quiet. She went from a head and face massage all the way down to my feet, and asks you to let her know what kind of pressure you prefer. I didn't want it to end after an hour! I would highly recommend Meeting Your Kneads. If you want deep tissue I would highly recommend Lauren. I was amazed at how well she did being such a tiny woman. I have had in office and in home massages by various therapists and they were always profession and did an excellent job. I haven't had any experience with the scheduling as my fiancee booked them for me. If you are looking for someone you can call at the last minute for a massage in an hour or two, you may be better off getting mediocre service from Massage Envy. I saw Laura, using an Amazon Local coupon(a great deal) for an hour. I generally have a little anxiety trying personal services for the first time, but Laura made me feel comfortable right away, didn't rush things, listened to my report of what hurt, etc. She focused on a tendonitis/bone spur issue, but didn't ignore the rest of me. Bought a Groupon for myself and my wife to try out this service for the first time. Just got home from 3 months away and was looking forward to this more than anything. Scheduled my wife and myself for back to back appointments only to wait around and wait around and......they never show. We call 30 minutes after the appointment time and get a barely apologetic "I just realized I couldn't make it, we'll have to reschedule."
