I was VERY pleased with my hair today and I can't wait to show it off at the Yelp event this evening :-) When you are here ask for Kyle to do your color, he is AMAZING!!!

I was a cosmetology student at empire for about a year and a half. WORST SCHOOL EVER, DO NOT GO TO…read moreTHIS SCHOOL. If you're looking for a school that cares about your license, education, or even you has a human being, this is not it. There is a teacher there, Alexis, she has threatened to fight students, forced me to take male clients who have sexually assaulted me, and would make FUN OF YOU. She would make fun of me not being able to reach things(I have dwarfism and can't reach some things). I've reported her and so have others for other reasons. They don't care and say they'll do something about it but never happens. With my dwarfism it's hard for me to use a regular client chair, I need a step stool or a smaller chair. They told me before I joined they would accommodate me. I brought a doctors note back to Tammy and everything saying I need accommodation. They denied it. Denied a doctors disability note. I will say they sent my note to cooperate asking for accommodation. I went back in the office every week asking if they accepted it yet, 6 months later they finally said they can't accommodate me for a step stool. A STEP STOOL. There is also Kyla who told me to calm down when I have having an anxiety attack, over a client who was making me uncomfortable. This client told me to go to the bathroom with his bag alone and take whatever I want out of it, keep in mind I'm not 21 atm, he had alcohol and who knows what else in it. I told her I don't want to do his service anymore and she told me to get over it and do the service anyways. It took multiple tries and another teacher to convive them to kick this guy out. BTW we sign a paper in the beginning saying we can deny clients for a good reason. Its not just them not allowing you to refuse clients for good reasons. I was supposed to graduate august 28th, I had my graduation clock out and everything. A MONTH later I came in to get my hair done by a friend at the time. While I was there they pulled me aside so casually and said "you're missing a couple things, come speak to me after", I was missing 30 credits. HOW?! They didn't run my papers till a month after I graduated and never decided to reach out and tell me. I can only assume they would've NEVER told me if I didn't come in that day. No text, call, or email from them saying this, I showed up to an appointment for them to tell me. Also tried to say I would have to pay for more time there. WHEN ITS ON THEM. I know a friend who still goes there, she tells me they RARELY get lunches now. THAT IS REQUIRED BY STATE. So they deny accommodation, going against the law/state requirements, go against their own paperwork, and multiple staff members who don't care about you or your education. They just want the money, even from clients. For people who want a service here, they will do what they want to your hair, most likely mess it up and blame the student. I've had multiple situations where a client left unhappy with me over a teachers doing. They will do as they please with your hair and make you pay full price for it. I don't recommend going here as a student or client.

Amazing massage!…read more You have to remember this is for education for students so you won't get the upscale feel but after the massage got started and I closed my eyes it was like being in a luxury spa. They had the music and essential oils going. The rooms itself is small and not decorated but has the essentials the students need for the massage. I noticed they don't close the doors and just have the curtain so I was a little confused when I was told to undress if the door was going to close or not. It was a sunny day so the sun was shining pretty bright so the room wasn't very dark. They had the fan going but it felt really nice with the heated bed. The foot soak was nice in the beginning, he gave me a choice of essential oils and gave me a little foot scrub after the soak. I did the serenity package for $90 which included an hour of foot reflexology where he followed the chart. The next hour compromised of a face massage (he put gloves on for this), scalp, neck décolleté, arms, legs, abdomen, glute, and back. He really worked out my problem areas and added some stretches in. I was so relaxed and comfortable the whole time. I do have to mention his voice was very calming and soothing and he checked to make sure I was ok with anything before he did it. I really appreciate him spending extra time with all my knots and issues. I wish you great success in the future Dan! They have two free parking lots that had plenty of spaces when I arrived. Bring cash to tip since they can't take tip on a card.

The staff were kind and did a great job. It was really easy to book an appointment on the phone. Being they are students there are certain blocks of time they have availability. I wish I would have come here for other past services and saved myself some money! Plenty of parking available. When entering the building it's just right upstairs. The teacher popped in once briefly to check on things. It will take a bit longer than normal but with savings at 1/2 off the normal price I've paid I was happy to wait.

Free parking, you'll just have to navigate through the parking strip to find the correct building. Once inside, go upstairs and check into the front desk. The nail tech are in 1 room. There's about 3 pedicure stations and 8 manicure station. They do a variety of services, with gel and regular polish. The techs are still in training, expect to be there for a long time. My manicure and pedicure took over 2.5 hours, which I didn't mind. The techs were so sweet and kept apologizing. Teacher will come and ask how you're doing and if you like the results.
