I had high hopes due to location. Was serviced immediately but there is a very strong cigarette smoke smell that comes in periodically. Staff is pleasant. Facility doesn't look to be deep cleaned often. My dip powder looks weeks old with scratches and marks and I haven't even left the salon. Mind you it's the wrong color though I was assured it would be correct after multiple coats and clear coats applied. LOVE the elderly woman that does pedicures....tho she nicked the hell out of my big toe :( I wish I had looked at reviews prior to coming in. I wouldn't patronize this place again read more

BUT the way the walk-in and appointment system work just created confusion and led to patrons being overlooked. Really enjoyed my manicure and pedicure here today! They even have WINE!!!! The facility was clean and every person we interacted with were very friendly. I was so impressed with the way I was treated and the services I had here. I walked in at 7pm (they closed at 7:30). I was promptly greeted and was told yes they would take me. They offer complementary alcoholic beverages here (WHAT?!? Yes, please!) I had a mimosa. I also had a brow wax while I was waiting. They lady was very gentle a did a beautiful job. Caitlyn did my nails and also did a beautiful job! She was a good listener and did them the way I asked and made sure I liked them. She was very sweet and treated me with respect. Everyone there was friendly and professional. I was the last client there and my tech went back to eat (she was a very hard worker and hadn't even had dinner yet) and another lady came and sat with me so I wouldn't have to be alone. The women are all nice friendly professional and very good. The elder man there is a grump. He was mad the whole time he did my nails, angrily grabbing each hand and hawked over me when I was filling out the tip portion. The younger men seemed really nice. First off everyone is very friendly but they kept trying to get me to purchase more services. I get it it's a business but after the 3rd NO, stop asking. Yes my feet don't look the best but I don't like having my toes done as I'm very ticklish. I just went in for a gel manicure. Which I got the impression that they were put off that I didn't want nails put on but I stayed anyway. I was very pleased with it at the time that the service was rendered. Now it hasn't even been a week and the polish is peeling off!! That's definitely not supposed to happen especially after paying $35!! I won't be back!!! read more

Dont come here if you expect good service or quality. Came in around 6 and I had called earlier in the day to see how much a gel set would cost. When I actually showed up I had changed my mind and wanted just a full set with regular polish. The older woman proceed to get loud with me and get pissy about the fact I changed my mind. The entire time I sat there I knew she was talking crap about me to the other staff members all because I changed my mind. Throughout the process she has very rough with my nail beds and hands. By the time she had finished painting my nails, I just wanted to leave. Her huffy demeanor and cutting of the eyes made for such an uncomfortable experience. I tipped accordingly but I'll never go back. My nails had looked like a child done them and I knew it was done out of spite. The are better places in Lexington for better prices. Come here only if you want to spend the whole time knowing they're talking crap about you. read more

Can no longer recommend after my recent experience. I asked for acrylic fill in and brought in my own NON-gel polish. Upon sitting he asked if I wanted gel, I said I love gel but it's too expensive, he said yes, $15 more. I said that's not worth it to me - this is important because here, within 5 minutes, I established cost is important to me. As the process continues, he takes a phone call and at one point says one second so he can send a few text messages. The worst of it wasn't that though, he was so rough with my hands it was making me so tense in that chair when it's supposed to be a luxury experience. He would push my fingers away and use that drill like the building was on fire and he had 5 minutes to get the job done. His thumb nail was so sharp that each time he pushed back my cuticles, which could have been avoided had he used the cuticle remover tool, I was sure I would be cut and start to bleed. The real reason for my choice to never return lies at what came next. Before polish he asks if I would like to pay, I agree, and my bill is $28.00 when fill ins are $20.00. When I questioned the amount he informs me I got GEL acrylic fill in.... I stated I did not ask for gel and then he informs me I came in with gel acrylics and he filled in with what I previously was wearing. I did not know I had gel acrylics (my favorite salon artist at Capital Nails probably upgraded me) BUT my technician did not disclose even once that I would be receiving gel acrylic fill in, that it was going to be more expensive than what I requested when walking in, AND when I said I didn't ask for that he out of frustration offered to refund me the $8 and picked up a drill telling me he was going to have to take off the work he just did!!! I grabbed my polish, denied the $8 cash presented to me and informed him I would paint my nails myself and i'll pay what was on my receipt and pay for the work he did. They lost way more than an $8.00 refund today - I cannot recommend and will be making the drive to Columbia at my normal salon or finding a substitute competitor. read more

I got a full set put on and with in 2 day they were turning brown. I called and asked if I could come back for a color change they said yes but I was still charged $25. The shape of my nails turned out well and the service was good but I was disappointed in the quality. So sad that I wasted my money. Would not recommend. read more

First time visit yesterday afternoon. I love that they are open on Sunday's. Sometimes this is the only day I have to take care of myself. I got a fill in and a pedicure. I enjoyed both services. They were very friendly and offered a beverage of choice as soon as I sat down. The prices are reasonable. They have iPads set up at each pedicure chair with games, etc. It seems they have possibly gone under new management recently. I will be coming back. read more

Took my 11 year old daughter in last week for a birthday mani/pedi. Neither of the nail techs that did our nails spoke English. They chattered amongst themselves in their language the entire 1 1/2 hours. My nail tech obviously didn't have all of the needed tools because she got up at least 4-5 times to fetch more supplies. She did a poor massage job, was very blunt (which I assume is because she spoke broken English) and used a nail file that already had someone else's nail dust on it, on me. The lady that did my daughter's nails stepped on her toe which messed up the polish when she got up from the chair. I made my nail tech aware and instead of politely letting the other nail tech know, she begins yelling in their language until the lady returned to fix the polish for my daughter. Also, while we were getting our pedicures another customer walked in and said I have an appointment for L***. A guy nail tech said "Who?", The customer repeated her name and he begins trying to spell it, so the customer spelled it out for him and he still (looking puzzled) said, "We no have someone by that name here". The customer then says, "no, that's my name and I have an appointment". Cracked me up literally!! lol!! read more

This is a very nice salon but sadly, they don't know how to run the business. I believe Caitlin and James are the owner. They were yelling at one another in their native language and it made me very uncomfortable. I spent over 2 agonizing hours at this salon for a deluxe pedicure and an SNS set. First of all, my deluxe pedicure was done by Cindy and it was the worst pedicure I have ever had in my life. Cindy basically just hacked through it so quick I wasn't sure if I actually got a massage or not. I am on my feet all day therefore I tried the Deluxe pedicure. Cindy tried to up-sell everything...and when I refused she showed an irritating look on her face and rushed through it so she can move onto the next client...Cindy also never even offered me a drink while waiting clients were served. Then they moved me to the manicure table for Caitlin to do my SNS nails, it took about 1 hour and 45 minutes! It was the most unbearable 1 hour 45 minutes! James and Caitlin were yelling at one another which was very unprofessional. In the end my SNS set could have been done better by a 3 year-old. I decided to write this review because I spent 95$ on this visit and over 2 hours there and it did not even worth 1 penny...I believe they shoulf have paid me instead of me paying them. If I there is a way to rate Lavish Nails negative 5-star, I would in a heart beat. Beware of Cindy, Caitlin and James! DO NOT GO TO THIS SALON! IT WILL BE A WASTE OF YOUR MONEY! read more

I really wanted to like this place, but I had an overall horrible experience. Usually I'd be thrilled to be in and out of a nail salon in under a hour but not when they do a half-a** job. I went at 10:15 on a week day do they weren't busy at all. I got sat immediately and told the guy that I had SNS on my nails and wanted SNS again. I went here because I heard they had a lot of colors to choose from... which they do. Well the guy tossed the huge ring in front of me and went to work on my nails leaving me no time to actually look at the colors. He barely soaked the old color off and I knew this because it was extremely thick, and they were in the foil for maybe 3 minutes. He asked me if I picked a color I told him one I kind of liked from what I could see. Well that's all he needed, he took the ring away and went to town. Midway through I told him I wasn't sure but he assured me it would look good. He went so so so fast dipping, flicking, it was ridiculous. He miss the sides of my nails. Then he stuck me under the dryer. Every time I've gotten SNS you get a gel topcoat, but not here. He left me there to go back and play on his phone. The owner told me I was good to go and that was it. No top coat, uneven, ugly, matte (not the kind you want) nails. I was so upset. They looked like I did them myself. I was back in my car by 11. I'm sorry but a good job takes time... and this was a hot mess. I'll never be back. Ever. read more
