I absolutely love going here after having awful experiences previously with my nails at Blush nails down the street. At aqua nails they now know my girls and I when we come in. They make sure my nails are always done to my liking. Emily is so sweet and very personable. I haven't caught the guys name that works here, but he is wonderful as well. He gives GREAT pedicures! The $60 pedicure is THE best which includes massaging and more which takes easily an hour for everything. I get gel nail color every two weeks and a manicure and it lasts that long too! I went there to get a manicure and a pedicure and I asked to use regular polish on my fingernails instead of gel to kind of give my nails a break. They charged me $10 because I was using regular nail polish instead of gel. And before I could even get home the polish on the left hand which is not my dominant hand has pushed back. I went to ask them to correct this this morning and I was told that generally that it was my fault because I didn't use a gel polish and regular polish done even last day usually. I have been going to this nail salon for years and have never really had any major issues until today. I went in to get a pedicure, was immediately taken to a chair and then sat until my water was cold. When I arrived, there was no one in there getting a pedicure which is why I was immediately seated. After I was seated two white women walked in and were serviced while I was left sitting there literally until my water was ice cold. I have been going to this salon 5 years now. Thursday my one year old and myself went to get our nails done. Julie did mine and my daughter nails and she did an amazing job. She was very very patient with my daughter and very cautious The whole time. I am very very picky about my nails but since Emily my normal nail girl wasn't there I have visited Julie twice. I have seen a lot of nails techs come and go out of there but out of all of them who I have used she is the only one I have seen to make sure my nails are perfect. I went to aqua nails the other day, it took them a while for them to attend me. But I didn't really care, everyone there is very friendly. My only problem was when I was getting my acrylic nails done, I got cut three times with the drill. My cuticle area was pushed back and cut down to much. Yesterday was my first visit to Aqua. I was trying it because I was meeting a friend there and it is closer to our house. We scheduled appts for 10:00. When we got there, my friends were getting a pedicure and I was getting a dip. One of the employees started the pedicure and I was waiting for my nails. By 11:05, I still hadn't been started. I could have been soaking my nails while waiting since that takes some time but no. The employees barely acknowledged that I was there and took someone else even though I was there before AND had an appointment for over an hour earlier. I ended up leaving without getting my nails done because over an hour after my appt and no end in sight. This was definitely my first and last time going there. I get it was a Saturday but I have never waited this long anywhere else when I had an appointment and have never been ignored the way I was. read more

I've been twice so far for acrylic manicures. I tried this place because of a friend's recommendation and im very glad I did! As for the salon itself, it was very neat and clean, modern decor, had music playing, was easy to relax. AS fars as The prices, they are very reasonable and even beat some of the other nearby salons.. THE employees ARe very friendly and give good conversation. As for the work, the acrylic ive gotten has been great, no chipping, no broken nails, not too thick, they make sure you are happy and the nail tech mentioned that they guarantee their work! They even offer complementary water or wine so i took advantage of this and enjoyed a glass of wine. Overall, I think this place does a wonderful job and I will be returning. I have been coming back to Aqua Nail and everything is great. Toenail Polish actually has been staying on for around a month or so --- so that is a plus. I like the loyalty program - for every 6 visits you get a punch on the loyalty card to have $5 taken off once the card is full. Do like that all the technicians speak fluent English - so there is no worry if the technician is talking about you to the other technicians in another language! I am sure this is TMI - but the technician I had the past couple of times was able to help relieve my big toes from the massive ingrown toenails I had - yes the process was somewhat painful - but the end result was that my toes are no longer feeling the pressure when I wear closed end shoes. read more

A friend and I went in to Aqua Nail Salon and Spa for manicures and pedicures. I was concerned that the soaking tubs did not have disposable liners in them and the instruments were not sterilized after each customer. With the possibilities of bacterial infections and hepatitis B and C, I find it hard to understand why the owner does not take more precautions to protect the customers. The staff was pleasant, but rushed through both of our needs. The ends of the toe nails were left untouched. There are no dryers after polish is put on, except for small fans for the finger nails. Our nails were smeared before we got home, the polish was coming off was flaking off in 3 days. I'm sorry to write this negative review, but find it necessary for the safety of others. read more

Other techs have not been as good and I've been cut during pedicures recently even though I said I didn't want my cuticles cut unless absolutely necessary. This was my first and last time going here. It took them 3 hours and their work wasn't impressive. When we walked in they just told us to sit down in the waiting room, so we sat there for a long while, which is understandable because we didn't have an appointment. Once they sat us at the tubs we waited for water to be put in them for another 15 minutes. Plus they don't use tub inserts which is disgusting. After finally getting water in our tubs, we sat for well over an hour and we had to ask for drinks because they didn't offer. Once they started working on my friend and I they finished my friends toes and nails before they could even get finished with my toes and i go religiously so they are well kept. The women who did my toes was not friendly at all and never spoke to me. I also asked her to cut my toenails and she cut them crooked. Once my toes were finished they made us wait another 30 minutes in the waiting room. It only took her 30 minutes to do my dip polish on my nails. So my overall experience was terrible, not to mention they charged me $97 for a basic, one color dip on my nails and one color gel on my toes, no designs on either. Do not recommend. read more

My four year old daughter and I were going to spend a girl's day together and started our day at Aqua after reading some good reviews. After signing in, we sat and waited for a while before realizing how very busy it was. We were offered drinks during our wait (thank you) before an employee came over and let us know it would be a while as they were short handed. My daughter was getting a little fidgety by that time and the employee (maybe the owner) offered to polish her fingernails very quickly if we promised to come back later when things slowed down. A waiting customer graciously agreed to let my daughter have her nails polished ahead of her. I checked this place out since it received great reviews. I am very glad I did. I was warmly welcomed, pricing was clear, and place was clean and comfortable. Like the other review, I do not like "thick" nails, and was pleased that these were not. I also get the powder gel nails. I would recommend the gel nail polish as it lasted 3+weeks without chipping. I went here to get a pedicure and my grandma got a manicure and a pedicure and they did a really good job, the staff is really friendly and made the experience enjoyable! For the basic pedicure they use some great spa products (spa scrub, heel treatment, muscle relaxing gel and body butter) on your legs and feet in addition to the expected scrubbing and filing, I also love their massaging pedicure chairs. I went in for a deluxe pedicure today. While I didn't have to wait, it did take MUCH longer than I was anticipating. (Over and hour and a half!!!) The nail tech that was doing my nails didn't speak to me the whole time. The customer beside me and her nail tech talked to me more than mine did! The experience was nice. They used hot stones and towels and two different exfoliating scrubs, not to mention an oil and a mask type lotion. The lady knew what she was doing when it came to a massage! But when it came down to painting my toes, my tech along with another AND the owner (I assume she was the owner) all couldn't, or either just wouldn't) do the design I asked for---- a ying yang sign. The owner (still assuming) tried on her own nails, and then tried on my toes. BUT SHE PAINTED IT ON WITH CRAFT PAINT, NOT nail polish. She didn't like the design, and so she said that she couldn't do it and asked my original tech to just do a design. Which was also painted on with craft paint, not nail polish. This was my first, and more than likely my ONLY experience with this salon. The atmosphere was nice, everyone spoke English, and was very nice. But it took entirely too long and then I wasn't given what I asked for. I was expecting a much better experience based upon the other reviews, and was let down. read more

I'm torn at least my cuticles are. Been going there on and off since new owners took over. Had good experiences until now. I had a new person do my nails. She sawed on one of them until it was below the quick and started bleeding. While trimming my cuticles, she cut too deep and again more bleeding. Shaping of nails was horrid. all of the tips were off center and did I mention the one she sawed to the quick. Yep it's still hurting. It had been less than three weeks since my last manicure and my nails are now stubs. I would say if you can get one of the technicians that have been there for a while you are in good hands. I wish I knew all their names. Without that I will say the owner, the young man, the young hispanic lady and the other young one(I think her name is Stephanie) are safe and good. I went here to get a French manicure and pedicure as my wedding wasthe next day. My pedicure went AWESOMELY. I fell asleep in the chair it went so well. The problem and the decrease in the rating came when I got my gel nails. First, my nails were filed down a lot more than I usually wear them. I didn't particularly like that, but I dealt with it. The tech who was first doing my nails was cordial, but not overly sweet. Not like I cared; I was just trying to relax from a hectic week so I didn't want to talk anyway. She was really concentrating on what I wanted. What irked my nerves was when another tech comes over to her and said "Let me take over". How rude! I was appalled. I wasn't complaining about anything, so she didn't have to do that. I hate rude actions and that right there, took the cake. BUT what makes their work even worse is that I had my nails done on a Friday. By Wednesday, they were already cracking and lifting up on the sides. Mind you, I didn't have acrylics; I had Gel nails.
