We have been very satisfied with this company. I would recommend them to anyone who doesn't want to bother taking care of their own lawn.

They built a retaining wall for my yard that is functional and pretty. They are quick, easy to work with, and beat the other bids.

I searched for native landscape architect to design and implement a high end landscape at my home…read morein Historic McKinney and after a number of weeks settled upon Texas Nativescapes. I was immediately impressed by Paul's depth of knowledge and unique experience related to native design which set him apart from the rest of the field in North Texas. Fast forward 10 months and two extensive design implementations later (front and back yards) I couldn't be happier with the results. The results are two of the most uniquely designed & implemented yards in all of DFW. The backyard is completely native southwestern landscaping with rock, cactus and agaves imported from all over Texas, Arizona, and California. In contrast the front is classic southern with original elements picked up in New Orleans and Savannah. In the end the pictures, which I have posted here, speak for themselves. If you are looking for someone to develop and implement a totally unique high end design Paul is your best option in North Texas hands down. His design acumen puts him in a category all his own in North Texas and on par with the best native landscape architects from across the country including places such as Palm Springs, CA and Austin, TX.

First to repair a rock wall that had not been built correctly by a previous contractor and was starting to fall over. Paul and his crew completely disassembled the wall, put in a more solid base and rebuilt the wall the right way. Second, we had Texas Nativescapes fix a drainage and erosion issue that was causing damage to our back fence. Paul and his team removed about 240 sq ft of grass and dirt and replaced with base of decomposed granite and river rock. Both finished projects look great.

I received my order of 8 Horse Herb plants and was very disappointed in what I received. What I…read morepurchased looks nothing like what I received. Two of the plants were totally out of their plastic pots when box and bag were opened. I placed them back into their pots. Most of the plants are very wilted looking and a couple already have half their leaves turning black from dying. The condition of these plants caused by the form of packaging and shipping method used is not appropriate for the product. The charge of $93 is not worth what was shipped to me and the condition that are in. Plants were planted in hopes they will live and grow into what I thought I had purchased. Again, very disappointed in product sent to me and damaged condition they were in. $93 for dying plants. Buyer beware. Native Gardeners sold me multiple separate, tiny trees crammed together in 5-gallon…read morepots and represented them as single, multi-trunked trees. This happened twice--once with a Texas Mountain Laurel and once with a Texas Kidneywood. When confronted, they hid behind the botanical excuse that these are multi-trunked species. To be clear, what they actually sent me were entirely separate individual plants with independent root systems tangled together. Over time, independent root systems crammed into a tight space are guaranteed to compress, compete, and strangle each other out. Even if this is disputed, the site clearly represented the product as a single plant. I called them the day after the first order arrived, (the day the second arrived), to report the issue and was promised a callback. While waiting, I gently teased the root balls apart and carefully potted the separate seedlings individually to try and save them. The callback never came. The Mountain Laurels eventually died from the stress of being repotted. When I followed up, customer service told me they didn't believe me, blamed me for separating the tangled root balls, and refused a refund because I didn't provide pictures within 24 hours of arrival. I did eventually find that policy buried deep in their website, but I don't remember seeing it on the papers in the box as they represented it to be, (I actually dug a card out of the trash), and here's the kicker: they never mentioned that on my initial phone call. You'd think that would be important. (Unless they were waiting for their own ridiculously short recourse period to expire.) If there's a problem and you didn't photograph it within 24 hours: You're lying; no there wasn't. The individual I talked to essentially dared me to write a bad review. Personally, I hate seeing people act like they are unaccountable once they have your money. It might be a decent place to get native plants, and your experience might be very different as long as nothing goes wrong, but IMO, they don't deserve your business, and you can do much better. For instance, try EcoBlossom (ecoblossom.com). They are local, sell amazing natives, and as far as I know, aren't arrogant enough to think they can shaft the odd customer now and then. Best of luck if you do though; definitely "bring receipts". May the odds be ever in your favor.

On the others side they had all of the trees and bushes, some we've not see elsewhere. They had a Chocolate Mimosa tree that we've been wanting for our lot, tho no price, and we forgot to ask. They had a weeping peach tree, super cool, haven't seen one of those, it had fruit on it as well, tho online sites say the fruit is purely decorative only and not edible. Prices were actually really good, especially on the perineal flowers and the bushes. $8.00 for some of the 1 gallon plants, and all are well grown and healthy. Can beat that price elsewhere. We talked to some of the staff for some time in the office about plants and landscaping, listen to them and them listening to us in regard to our extensive landscaping at our residence. We wanted to see about a Cascade Falls Cypress, which is a weeping cypress tree, they didn't have any in stock, that's no fault of there's, as it's a rare tree that's hard to find, partly because they take years of growth before they can even sale a 3 foot tree. They have a supplier that has them but can't get any until next year. We will return to check on that tree as well as get some other good deals. They have a lot of hardscape items, flagstone, landscape stone, rocks, etc. this is a really nice place.

Most of the things you get from them are half dead and stressed before you get them home. However, A & M nursery plants just blow my mind! I can buy just one plant now and know that when I get home it will have been cared for and it will live in my garden. instead of buying three and hoping one will live. The family is so friendly and anxious to help. The selection is amazing. But the most important thing is the plant material is beautiful and healthy after you get it home and it will continue to live. I can't wait to my next visit!!! PS: if you think their prices are too high, then take a minute and realize how each plant started as a seed or a cutting has been cared for to be the magnificent plants you get to take home. For my money, the best place hands-down!!
